I have 3 pairs of contacts in rotation. 1 is colored, so they don't come out often. But the two clear pairs are in identical cases. Well, last evening a friend of mine had a bit of a scare when her dog killed a snake and brought it to her! There really was only one answer to calm her nerves! DRINKS! Many drinks later I carried myself back around the corner to my house and went to bed. This morning I was standing over my bathroom sink fighting my contacts in and then I couldn't figure out why the were bothering me so bad and I couldn't see!! Turns out, I slept (passed out) in my other pair last night and put another pair right on top!! Hahaha! Y'all DO NOT want to do that!

LOL LOL LOL Labmommy .... I have done it !!!!! I also have coloured ones as well, which do not come out that often either as they are so darned uncomfortable.... I went to a bit of a 'do' with himself, got totally cuckoo'd, and put the plain ones on top of the coloured ones the following morning ... I must have been really bad if I did not notice my eyes were green that morning and not the normal blue:cry:

xDxDxDxD I am dying of laughter over here! I don't know why the colors are so uncomfortable but I can hardly tell I am wearing the clear ones! I'll tell you what though, we'll only do it once!:cry::cry::cry:

    8)LOL - spots....."senioritis"!! Good one!!xD

I've worn contact lens since I was thirteen. Why? - Because I was a slightly rebellious, mega-curious person, who did myself harm trying to 'find out' why things were the way they were! My Dad had said not to look at the sun......so, of course, I had to look to find out why I could not look! (Now that's a real 'Duhhh!' teenage moment!) And it - also of course - damaged my eyes. Soooo, contact lens. Fortunately I Love them!! They are so comfortable I forget I have them in all the time, and often wind up sleeping in them. But, good thing, they are extended wear ones that you can get away with doing that. (I absolutely hate being so nearsighted!)

Talk about senior moments! I just left the forum to go get gifts out before reset. Got back to my farm, couldn't remember what I wanted to do.:pxD

Couldn't find the dog leads this morning - they were in my sock drawer! Don't even remember going up the stairs with the leads, let alone putting them in the sock drawer!

I love the Leads in the Sock Drawer! Hubby wondered why I was giggling.

I have lost count of the number of times I have said 'Guess what I have just found in the ...........' (fill in the blank)

My main senior moment is every Wednesday when I go into the Utility Room to get a new bag for the rubbish bin, and get waylaid stroking the cat/washing their dishes/putting down food/ emptying the washing machine etc etc, and still going back into the kitchen without the rubbish bin bag. Sometimes it is Thursday before I get it done. I use a temporary small bag or box in the meantime!

Just back from doing my short 'lambing' shift. Today's duties were to check and feed the outside stock and make sure all the lambs were with their mothers .... only 6 fields to do. The sheep are hard fed using a small two wheeled trailer called a 'snacker' which is towed behind the Gator and drops feed in small piles at regular intervals. Unfortunately, the 'snacker' is narrower than the Gator which causes a bit of a problem when reversing despite the mirrors ... you just can't see the thing unless you have a neck like a giraffe. The last field was exceptionally wet in places and I kind of got myself into a situation whereby I could not easily reverse out, and the 'snacker' would have been too heavy to pull through .... sooooo, I unhitched the 'snacker', manually swivelled/turned it ready to hitch up again and raced round the field checking that all the stock were ok, picked up a cold, hungry and unwanted lamb, gave another poorly one a shot of antibiotics and all the time mentally multi-tasking with regards to cooking our supper and finding time to watch the Grand National, raced back to the farm, fed the lamb, stuck it under a heat lamp ...... and Hubby asked ... 'where is the snacker?' You guessed it .... standing in solitary splendour in field number 6, surrounded by sheep wondering why their dinner had not been served :cry::cry::cry: Not entirely sure which bit was worse, my senile moment or my inability to reverse, I don't think I will ever live it down...:wuerg:

Many Clouds won the National. On that front I saw the post about it, thought "ooh totally forgot about that, must harvest then watch", so harvested, logged out and totally forgot the National was on :p. This is not good, I haven't even hit 40 yet!

Went out this morning, cheerfully shouting goodbye to the parrot and house mutts, came back 3 hours later to hear the parrot shouting out what a clever boy he was at top volume. Living room was trashed, not a straight picture frame in sight and my poor little lemon and lime trees that have just about survived the winter on my south facing window ledge have undergone a severe pruning.

Guess who forgot to put the destructive little Demon in his cage before she went out ......:cry:

    1. I always forget to send my gifts at the beginning of the day. But when I am continuing with my daily chores, I always suddenly remember that I had to send my daily gifts. And so I returned to the farm and guess what? Forgot what I had to do, which was sending gifts! So I went back to my chores! This explains why you get gifts after a very long time, and I am very sorry for my mistake and forgetful memory! But I can't resist it!:p

P.S. That also happens to things like making feed and planting crops and feeding stalls...

    2. Two days ago, I was supposed to board bus number 1 so that I can reach my destination. Guess what I did? I saw bus number 2 while waiting for bus number 1 and thought that bus was the bus I had to board, so I boarded it! Fortunately I realised my mistake, and quickly left the bus before it left for its destination. But it was definitely very embarrassing...:cry:

    3. I am still very young! Probably the youngest of everyone in the forum.

Locked myself in my house xDxDxD. I put the keys somewhere safe and couldn't find them. Fortunately my sister came to my rescue and unlocked the door for me or I was going to have to go through the window.:p

Searching for my specs all over my house and asking my mother. But all the time having it on my nose. I didn't even realise that I would not have been able to see clearly if I hadn't worn my specs. The greatest comedy was that my mother sitting right in front me, too didn't notice I was wearing my specs (She was busy) and told me she didn't know where it was and urged me to search in other places.

In happy anticipation of my good friends travelling the length of the country to stay with us this coming Bank Holiday weekend, and also given that my beloved Hubby cooked a roast last weekend (It always takes forever to clean up after him) I decided to give the oven a 'deep clean'. Armed with all the appropriate necessary equipment, rubber gloves, scourers etc. I set to work with as much enthusiasm as I could muster given the horrid task ahead. I liberally sprayed the interior and commenced work on the glass and shelves. Two hours later I returned to the interior part assuming happily that two hours of the nasty caustic cleaner will have sorted things out and that a quick wipe and rinse would complete the task ..... A word of helpful advice to all you oven cleaning people out there .... Bathroom Cleaner does not work on ovens !!! :wuerg:
