Okay how many games are you guys getting a day? I have one field with long stables and workshops and two with 1x1 plots of 20 or more hours crops and getting an average of 7 games a day. Oh that is also with monkey thing giving crates. I will not finish sixty games. All four farms are the same. Awful.

I suppose it depends on what you want to achieve. I want the tartan wonder stables, ant hill and the paisley stables, manta ray. once I've got those I'll just take what prizes I get. :)

The drop rate doesn't seem to be the best this time unfortunately, but there are some things that might help some at least.
To start with I was looking at something similar and probably would have gotten around 8 games a day as the drops were so out of balance, but by now I've gotten to 22 games(around 4 of the games with drops from breeding though, so those don't really count).

-Depending on the balance between the different drop items it might help to change out the crops on one field with stables to get more of the Rustic Knives. Also, try to find a stable length that gives you close to one of each drop item every harvest, but not quite. For me that seems to be stables that take 8-10 hours before adding water, but this probably depends on how high a level you have for the Trophies/Living Legend rune on the Tree of Wisdom and such. If not maxed out I would think somewhat longer stables might be best. Try to pay attention to how many drops you get when harvesting the stables next time and adjust what stables and how long they take based on that. When having too much of the crops to start with I couldn't get enough of the Rustic Knives, but with almost two fields filled with stables it seems to be a better balance at this point. Stables/workshops seem to drop way more of the Rustic Knives than crops do.
-If you're running low on the Rustic Forks, then going with more crops might be the best option.

A few other things that can help might be:
-Any cloud row giving drops/cutting down time for particular crops that are used at the right time
-Using valentine's pot/cheese balls/eggnog to cut down time for stables if able to harvest on time
-Any wonder stables seem to give one of each drop for me, so it might be a good time for opening those if you have some of them in your inventory

Hope this helps some as in particular the amount and time of stables seem to make quite a big difference for me at least.

Just harvested my 1st Baha stable and was somewhat disappointed. I got a classic parrot 2. I already had 26. Oh well maybe the next one will be better. Wishing best of luck to all.

I have had similar results as ChayaAvery, and have more knives after changing to two fields in stables and tree fill ins. My Living Legend rune is 27% and I am on level 2 of the wonder stables speed up rune, so not maxed out. About half the stables are over 12 hours before water and my crop is flax. My last harvest with this mix yielded a better balance of knives to forks.:) Currently at 16 games, did not do any breeding.

  6. I need to point out that our main objective should not be to balance the knifes and forks but to be able to play as many games as possible.
Too many field crops and we won't have enough knifes to mill games.
But too many stables will slow us down because they take 2x2 fields.
Each one of us needs to find his balance to maximize the number of games he can play.

Speeding up plants and stables with refined plants, artisan products and manure which is relatively cheap now will maximize our yields.
I am working with 3 harvests a day. Similar timed plants and stables in order to make it more relaxed.

The wonder stable rune has no effect on the time of the wonder stables, at least not as you describe it .... unfortunately.
It refers to the wonder stables before they show what stable is won.
One description with two different meanings

Just to clarify, the better balance of knives and forks I mentioned was to allow more milling of tableware - therefore to have more games to play. Before I changed the mix I had too many forks and not enough knives to mill more than 3 tableware at a time. Sorry for any confusion.

I am now getting about 6 tableware milled per harvest at three harvests daily. Now at 20 games. Happily I realized my problem after the first day I began milling, which allowed a timely correction. Forgot to mention I also use manure on crop, V-pots and cheeseballs - sorry. That really helps when using longer timed stables.:)

Thank you Niknar for the lovely chart on combinations!

I have just put two more lots of Tableware in to Mill which will bring me up to 21 games - just about a third of the way through after two days so I think I am about right. :p

I do have a glut of Forks and am always waiting on Knives but for the time being I am sticking with my two fields of crops (with outlying trees) and Glade full of all sorts of Workshops, Pens and Trees as I am working on FSQs which require shed loads of crops. If I find that this gap between the two drop items continues/increases, I will change to more pens tomorrow to see if I can even things up. :)

I am enjoying this event for the sheer fact that we can farm as we like while collecting drops and being able to participate in the event! Just a win-win situation as far as I'm concerned. :inlove:

Edit: After reading Willow's post, I may change those two fields to long term pens this evening as my Neon Butterfly Cocoon (+1 animal per pen) matures tomorrow so I may as well maximise that for the day then back to crops on Monday. xD

Thanks for help. I am putting out more stables and try for more knifes. Have everything maxed out and getting crates so won't be getting cloud row.

Closing in on 40 games. Decided to spend some star coins on the paisley stables offered - and got two mantas!:D From none to two!

ooh! to finally have a manta for this farm... my dream. Might have to spend some of my coins on those, too!

My other farm just got the cloud row. This farm is getting close...waiting to harvest an overnight crop that I planted way too late...see what I get for drops and mill-mill-mill!

Edited to add: Farmer_Broke - interesting take on the pheromone trees. Might try a different strategy there, thanks to you. And you're right about the parrot feather quest - just finished it on my other farm and about to go finish it on this farm. Maybe BP is finally figuring out that we're not going to donate stuff to quests that give out measly rewards? Not holding my breath on that one...

The farm buys nearly everyday. I buy the pheromones in the shop too. Then just wait on a breeding event or baby boom and sell. Just make a little bit without greed and do the same mindless thing (like junking) because you'll just be buying again to sell.

The easy ccs from that parrot feather quest will run out. The ccs rewarded will soon be nonsense. This same sort of easy ccs from doing a quest has been possible for other quests and they do run out.

The golden bananas to be earned for young farms should always remain. BP MUST always take good care of the newbie, they MUST or ..................... or ....... Beeps will be like this oooooooooooooold farmer noooooooooooooow just sitting under the broke-tree stuffing leaves in their pocket. I sorta think they might mind a lot more than I do xD

Thank you Cassie101 and Mindy1701! I've been concentrating on making a new meal each time but now I want star coins so I can buy power feed. I'll be using your patterns to stock up. :)

You need to use your own patterns, they are different from farm to farm. You can check the list of prizes you have already won. If you find one you want to repeat, you can click it and the meal appears automatically :)

If you have found a combination that gives farm coins, it is better to get the farm coins and buy power feed in the farm coin shop, power feed is cheaper there ;)

At this time I have 56 games with 830 forks and 25 knives. I think what helped me the most is Wild Roses which is a 21:45 hr crop, but with refinements from greenhouse and only using water and manure now is about 10:17. Forks will be worth 20 cc's each at end of game.
    Best of luck to all.

CR up and running. Played 61 games so far. Gathered drops in a good, balanced, mix on just over 1.5 field with 10-15 hr stables (124 stables in total, including 64 in menageries and manufactories) and just under 1.5 field with 10-15hr crops. On time harvests twice a day, A few less stables/more crops overnight. Leftovers right now: 55 forks and 8 knives.

It took 4 tries to find Star Coins. Managed to get 1350 so far. Got the wonder stables but didn't get the newest stables. Will buy the 5 Crate of Buffs next. Hopefully in there is a little more luck for me ..

    Decent event, reasonable rewards.

    Keep smiling!

Well done Habalala, blessedlady :) and others who are doing well.
I've played 54 game so far and hope to finish tomorrow. Poor Erridge is really struggling on 40 games, no CR for that farm, his tail won't be wagging. :(

I'm at 44 games and seem to have evened out my drops to run almost together using stables instead of crops. I have only had 435 Star Coins so far but am hoping to amass a few more with the remaining games. If I do strike lucky with one of my games, I will use that one in the last ten games to get some more goodies but I am happy so far. :)
I have only splashed out on the Tartan stables - I didn't get an Ant though! A Red Donkey and an Orange Peacock! :p
Good luck everybody and well done to those who have finished. ;)

Can someone tell me whether or not I am getting good drops on my Magical Glade, or how to increase them please? This harvest was 49 forks and 40 knives.

I used a central plot of land surrounded by a mix of stables, menageries, 2 arboretums, and a manufactory. I planted sugar beets (16:08 hr.)on 1X1's, brought down to just over 4 hrs. with water, manure, and Suzy's Super Grow on them, but can only use SSG's once or twice more.

I try to harvest twice a day, sometimes more - but any more is hit or miss.

Thank you for any ideas you may have, as I have only been able to finish 23 games...and have gotten almost all ep's!! Yes, I've tried the suggested combo's as well as others, but my farm seems to be s-t-u-c-k on ep's!!(and just 51 star coins)

Looks like you are doing all the right things. I got 117 today which was far above my average of about 70.

Don't forget to add your Howdie Donut to the farm right before you harvest. I normally go to another part of the farm after I do this right before I get there.

I don't know where the SOS in the farm is but I think it should help. One of my neighbors is maxed out on gifts.
