Excellent points, so I will change my plan and just leave my best trees on the fringe, low level will stay in storage, and 1x1 carnations or green tea for the fields. Has anyone evaluated to decide which prizes to go for first? My first thought was the cloud rows, and which one will be based on how easily we get drops.

Oh what I wouldn't give for a Happy Tree day right now :D. I have trees stuffed everywhere xD......my timing is set to harvest at 1400 with the second harvest at 1430. Hope this gives me a big jump on drops.
Then I'll switch to refined crops and just leave my best trees out.

    Good Luck everyone :)

I agree... Aluntino, Mooboy or David, etal: Do you have any feedback ? CR (which one) or individual EP/BEP givers?
    Bueller,... Bueller... Anyone ... Anyone?

    Aetheria/Banjoman,

I will not go for anything specific along most of the duration of the event: there's a wealth of prizes, very varied, and, therefore, I think it's better to accumulate coins and decide what to buy with them near to the event's end (after all, the mechanism here is practically the same as Renzo's: coins accumulated translate into prizes to be chosen from a wide and varied offer, a very nice improvement from the Gone Fishing thing, I must say).

Having said so, I've analyzed the CRs and the givers.

The more convenient CR is the plain/basic one in terms of permanent yield obtainable per coin. Why? Because it'll yield 4K EPs + 4K B-EPs/10 hs at an overall cost of 420 coins, that is, 9,5 EPs + 9,5 B-EPs/10 hs per coin. Using the same methodology, the Silver CR will yield 7,5 EPs + 7,5 B-EPs/10 hs per coin, and the worst one, the Gold CR, will yield 6,5 EPs + 6,5 B-EPs/10 hs per coin.

However, if some or more additional givers are to be picked to not be used in a CR but in a park instead, the ranking is as follows (best to worst, based on daily EPs/B-EPs yield per 1x1-plot):
    1. Gold Barrel Organ
    2. Gold Two-man Saw
    3. Silver Barrel Organ
    4. Gold Cask
    5. Silver Two-man Saw
    6. Basic Barrel Organ
    7. Silver Cask
    8. Basic Two-man Saw
    9. Basic Cask

If this ranking is refined as based on daily EPs/B-EPs yield per 1x1-plot PER COIN per 1x1-plot (again, best to worst):
    1. Basic Barrel Organ (29,3)
    2. Silver Barrel Organ (20,9)
    3. Gold Barrel Organ (18,9)
    4. Basic Two-man Saw (17,6)
    5. Basic Cask (13,7)
    6. Silver Two-man Saw (12,6)
    7. Gold Two-man Saw (10,6)
    8. Silver Cask (9,7)
    9. Gold Cask (6,9)

EDIT: Mir made me notice I was disregarding overall size in previous listing and she was right. The above listing is now correct. It means, for example, that it is roughly 4 times better to spend additional coins on a Basic Barrel Organ than on a Gold Cask.

Most probably, since I don't expect drops to be too good, and there are other things I'm interested in (especially, mystery trees/stables), I'll see towards the end how many coins I got and decide then what combination of CR(s)/givers/goods I'll choose to get the most from them, the highest possible value from each single coin.

Froggie... froggie, Frogggiiieee I hear a challenge!

Only suppose to go for one out of 3 CR's <snickers> I hear the old radio shows: tune in next week, will farmers as Froggie be able to hold the farm cr fever at bay and be happy with one row? Will they throw super grow around till the haze turns everything green for miles? What will win out, the need for the rows or the need for the stock piles of goodies?

Are the farmers still too wiped out from toss'in bodies of river rats to care?
Don't miss the exciting answers tune in next week and see will good win or the need to feed........:p

Aluntino - thank you for your analysis:)

I was in the middle of typing a very similar recommendation (EP per coin). I also am going to wait to see how the drops go before making a firm decision about what items to go for. I really like the variety of the prizes. There are some items I am interested in above others. I would like the PF and wonder stables and trees but the Classic EP givers I already have so those would have the lowest priority. With the OA for the cloud harvester within the next couple of weeks, multiple cloud rows don't seem too bad. At first, I wasn't too happy with that since I already have 31 pages and that is a lot of clicking for me. While GB's are still a worthy prize, I have opened all that can be opened on the island so they may be on the shopping list but will not necessarily be first in line. Since BP has labeled this event as Hard, I'm sure they are planning on being stingy with the drop rate. Too bad....this could be such a fun game mechanism that we all could enjoy.

Hi Farmers I am Finally Back From Holiday so I can Make Better Clear Postings.....Here are some basic Guidelines....
    1. Need to Reap as Many as Field Bobbles From Trees as We can Use Jumbo Trees, 20 Hour Trees, 12 Hours/XXL Trees and XL Trees
    2. We can Only Speed up Tree Growing Times using Super Mulch
    3. Need to Reap as Many Festival Blossom From Crops...We can use Water, Manure, Super Grow and Crop Refinements and Super Grow Buffs such as Fruit Cake and White Innocents and Super Grow Cloud Row
    4. We Need to see The Drop Rate of Field Bobbles when harvesting our Trees as Trees Do Take a Fair While to Grow, plus it helps to use Higher EP Trees. To Get Better Drops
    5. Plan Ahead Where you like to Spend Star Coins in Game Booth Shop, Spend These Coins Wisely as they may be harder than you think to Obtain Them....as we have to see how the Event Progress with The Drops and Obtaining Star Coins
    6. We will be having a Bean Stalk Harvester Feature Coming very shortly so Obtaining Three Cloud Rows and EP Givers to fill these cloud rows this will Benefit to those who already have Shipwreck Full of Bahm EP Givers
    7. Those Who have a shortage of 2x1 Givers to Fill Greyed Out Cloud Rows can get 2x1 Givers From Classic Section of Game Booth Store
    8. I Suggest to Send Field Bobbles to your Neighbours and Buddies during this Event as they take longer/harder to Obtain than Festival Blossoms
    9. It Helps to Boost Your Drops to Move your Trophies/Howie Donuts before harvesting your Fields or to Update your Animal or Crop Trophy or Unlock the Living Legend Which Prevents the needs to Move Animal/Crop Trophies only....
    10. Recommendation to Mill Regular Balls as to Milling Premium Balls is determind how the drops rates are doing will cost more to make Premium Balls but it would be huge waste of Field Bobbles and Festival Blossoms
Wish you all very good luck with this Event :p;)

I just really looked at the prizes and I might not get past the PF and mystery stables/trees. xD
Won't know till we determine the drop rate but that seems like a great deal on PF to me and I would love to try to get a kingfisher stall.

The game itself could be a nightmare as well but I'm pretty good at the whack a mole and that is what this seems most like to me.

This farm is level 76 and Baha level 59 (rainforest and 3 of 4 Baha space unlocked). This event is about 6 days long.

For the first 2 1/2 days:
Baha (and rainforest) all the highest EV trees yet a few others (Papaya is the highest EV tree unlocked and is the majority)

Mainland will keep 15 or so animal/production pens out and the balance filled with trees (almond is the highest EV tree available yet dates and oranges are used to fill the space. (Again, the focus is high EV tree fruit.)

Living Legend unlocked and both trophies maxed out. No concern with drops and trophies as the intent is to use the event with no change in plans to balance the farm.

Market Activity is/will be focused on selling only about 40,000 Golden leaf. The purpose is to use proceeds to return the ccs used for additional trees purchased and to more than double the EV of the tree fruit which will be/is being sold.

Mill will remain occupied producing whatever may be purchased from daily seed shop. Event milling may be done the last few days but not sooner.
For the next 2 1/2 days trees will be replaced with crops in the following areas: grains, vegetables, flowers and others.
    Baha (and rainforest)
    • grain - meadow grass
    • vegetable - zucchinis
    • flower - bromeliad
    • other - pepper (black)
Mainland. Trees will be replaced, 15 or so animal/production pens will remain. Crops will be grown in the same areas as above.
    • grains - crop square and crop circle
    • vegetable - spinach
    • flower - rose
    • other - blueberry

No concern with drops. Come what may.
Market Activity is to buy only replacement EV tree fruit for the Golden leaf sold. Intention is to completely stay away from the market.

Mill will constantly produce animal feed which will be use to balance animal stock upon event completion. No event milling will be done here, only the Baha mill if determined.
After 4 days will decide if milling effort will produce enough for coins for power feed result. If not, the farm will not bother with anything else.

Note: As a Market Vulture I will fly over the market quickly after harvesting in hopes of doing "the swoop" when finding unreasonably low offers. No selling but Golden Leaf and very quickly.

Nothing about this event will change the intended direction of this farm.

Best wishes in achieving whatever your objective(s)!

edited to adjust days to coincide with event days

I'm curious because I haven't been around long enough for an event like this. Can these balls be made in the Bahamarama Mill? Or are they typically only able to be made in the normal mill?

Per the FAQ, we'll be able to produce them in both mills. :) Mir (the original poster of this thread) put a link to the FAQ in her first post in case you want to read more about the balls!
