Septemberfest- strategy thread

No idea how I am with the event, kinda lost a little bit of interest, so I just grow and mill a little bit. I cut down a little bit on the stables on the meadow, it's now half and half with crop and stables/trees. Drop seem to drop freely without the need to squeeze them out

@jazzy22 I'm interested in trying to see if I can make contact, could you mail me please.

 

I will be able to contact you at the moment, but anything you mail to me will go to that level 2 player with the same name. I keep checking my email since they told me they will contact me once the older account is disabled. He said he escalated my case -- so I assume it has to go elsewhere for the disable to happen.

Once I hear from them, I hope I can finally receive messages and gifts. Unfortunately, anything sent prior to this will be gone (they said they can't forward them).

But you know what, I'll test it anyway. Will send you a message now. Let me know if you reply and I'll let you know if it shows up.

Nope. Nothing, nada, zip. Nothing in the post office either. I even logged out and back in again. I've never seen the owl -- always wondered how you knew you had a message (other than checking the PO). How cute!

ETA: In the last few weeks I've been wondering if there was something wrong with my IGM -- I was contemplating asking someone to send me a message to test it. Glad puppiesnponies noticed it was going to a level 2 player and let me know. Hoping this will be resolved very soon.

If you make a name for a farm ...and the name is already being used ... wouldn't it come up on the screen saying you couldn't have that name ?
It's a bit silly if it doesn't
So does that mean all the gifts sent have gone to this level 2 player ?

 

I have sent messages (as has Erridge), I must admit I thought it strange not to receive even one from you. Especially as we were helping you with Artisan gifts. I hope you get it sorted soon so you can truly be in the farming community.

 

Oh, how thoughtful of you -- and gifts too! I'm so sorry I didn't receive your messages or gifts. Even though I didn't get them, please know how much it's appreciated that you did so. Also happy to see you found this thread so you know I wasn't intentionally not responding.

I do seem to be getting some of my daily neighbour gifts (but only those).


Nellie: They said I shouldn't have been able to create the name -- not sure how it happened. My luck -- I'm the one who always brings home the faulty item from the store. :/

Nellie: Yes, gifts too I didn't even know people had so generously sent them. I do seem to get my daily gifts from neighbours, though - the ones you can send 5 times to others. I also got my mentor gifts at the beginning of the game -- although he never replied to my thank you's, etc. - now I know why.

 

I'll stop sending Pumpkin jams and things to help you level up on Baha until your problem is sorted out. Good luck

Event related: Those 3 pretzels are scaring the 'chicken poop' out of me (although I'm not even close to those yet). Not sure my memory can handle it...

I wasn't very good on the cake event ... couldnt remember them ...so put any cake in I have a memory like a sieve

 

I've done 15 games so far. Messed up the very first one You don't have much time there before the order is needed What, like 3 seconds (or so it seems) I'm going for the drops first then concentrate on the crops. Figure I better keep a close eye on it though I hope everyone is having fun with this event

 

use the ladles to slow it down? they should equal the number of outfits you have milled. better than losing points!

 

Using 1.5 field crops, 0.5 field trees (12hrs), 1 field pens (7-24hrs) provided me 50 Outfits and 237 ladles in two days. Guess I'm on track.

I was looking at the items to deliver and am wondering if anyone already found a good, easy to use notation? Any idea is welcome!

 

i use my cell -works like a charm

 

I quickly note them down on paper in the shape of a triangle as they appear on screen. I use a code:
Mains: Sausage = S, Pretzel = Pr, Burger = B, Corn = C, Pizza = Piz
Drinks: Orange = O, Beer = B, Lime = L, Cocktail = Ck, Pink Lemonade = Pl
Dessert: Choc Slice = Cs, Choc Heart = Ch, Ice Lolly = I, Donut = D, Cupcake = Cc

At the start I took a few minutes to learn the code and I always use the ladles to get extra time. It works well, only 1 mistake so far and I'm well over half way through.

 

Racheliz - thank you for the code! I am just about to start the game portion of the event. I've amassed over 30 outfits on each farm, and I'm home and at my desk with my big monitor and big pad of paper, so time to play!

Jazzy - please keep us updated on your account issues. Once you get things figured out, we can 'prosper' you some to make up for all you missed. The really sad thing is that the other account is lying fallow so they didn't use the goodies...they were just lost. So sad.

And I'm noticing that both farms are a tad 'short' on the hats. Plenty of aprons...not quite enough hats. So from this point forward, I'm gifting hats to neighbors and friends...I figure that if I'm short, so is everyone else.

 

I'm no where near even halfway. Good for all of you who are zooming forward!

Note: For those of you in the 'not getting mail' discussion, please see my thread 'Testing, testing' in the Game Chat. I received an email from Support saying the older player has been disabled. I sent a IGM to one of my neighbours that showed online and asked them to reply -- no response yet. Would love to know if this is working.
