I read your response to the other person about the shark breeding. I have a similar issue. I opened the shark breeding the same day you posted it was an up coming event. I went to breed
today (with the new event) and the shark was greyed out.

I had to put in more golden bananas to open shark breeding AGAiN. I then checked all the other openings in the temple, and opened any that needed to be opened *which included the packages etc associated with shark breeding, before coming to the forum.

Now I appreciate the shark breeding was only 20 bananas ( and I still have over 2400 bananas to be used, and Everything is open in the temple) so it isn't going to hurt me one way or the other, but I want you to be aware that the game took away that which had already been purchased on the day you announced this was coming.

Please do whatever you need to do to confirm and replace my 20 bananas used to open shark breeding (on the top row) from the announcement day, and be aware you may be hearing this from more farmers than me.

Thanks for the attention to detail,

    Hello BonbonQueen :)

The Announcement for Pre-Release Sharks to get ready for Shark breeding states that you must unlock the Shark Lair rune in the Monkey Temple in order to be able to use the shark lairs. Sharks were changed from a rare stable won in previous events to a Baha stable that can now be purchased in the shop. The pre-release allows players to get ready for Shark breeding. It is not the rune for shark breeding.

Announced yesterday was the Breeding event and the Sharks FAQ.

It costs 30 Golden Bananas to open the Shark Lair rune and another 20 Golden Bananas to open the Shark Breeding rune.

Two different runes, two different chambers.

No one has been charged double as no one has opened the same rune twice.

    May I assist you further?

You announced breeding of sharks about a week or so before now. At that time, I opened what was in the temple, which was only the breeding rune. Today you have multiple things to open, which is just fine. I know I opened on the first day announced a week or so ago the breeding rune (and went to breed and found no sharks).

You owe me 20 bananas because my shark rune for breeding was grey this morning, and I paid to have it opened again.

Please review the work again, and tell me why the shark breeding did not recognize the purchase it recorded a week or so ago.

What was announced on 22 January was that Shark Breeding was coming soon. That is the first link provided above. It is to allow players to open the rune in the Monkey Temple to be able to purchase Shark Lairs in the shop, along with the introduction of yellow and orange upgrades. This is to give players time to grow sharks to be ready for breeding when the breeding event came. It is not the breeding rune.

As with all breeding animals on Baha, you must open the animal's stable AND a breeding rune.

What you opened originally was the Shark Lair stable rune for 30 Golden Bananas.

When the breeding event went live today, you were then able to open the breeding rune for 20 Golden Bananas. You couldn't have unlocked the breeding rune before today as sharks were not a breeding animal until the breeding event.

They are 2 different runes located in 2 different chambers.

The Shark Lair is in Chamber 2, in the middle row, at the end.

Shark breeding is in Chamber 5, top row

Does this make better sense to you now?

I understand how it was/is suppose to work. However, on Jan 22 I paid to open shark breeding (with golden bananas). That part was in the temple. I appreciate the runes etc on a different temple level were included this week which allowed the actual breeding of sharks. It does not change the fact that I paid bananas on the 22nd to open the breeding rune. I paid for it again this week.

I went through each of the levels after paying for shark breeding in January. I checked the breeding barn also (and did not have sharks available to breed at that time). I believe you (the game) had activated one part of shark breeding back in January and activated the rest of the pieces this week.

As stated initially I still have over 2400 bananas, so 20 -30 here and there will not hurt. I just don't/didn't care for the fact I had to pay more bananas for something paid for and confirmed (by checking every other level in the temple, and the breeding barn). It was on a top layer next to other breeding runes.

Yes I could be assisted further, but not if you are not recognizing one rune was open/available before the other (2) that actually allowed farmers to breed sharks. I had over 600 sharks at that time, and had had shark lairs for a long time.

Your logs for the Monkey Temple for the Golden Bananas that you used show:

30 Golden Bananas on 2020-01-23 19:42:58 Shark Lair Statue in Chamber 2
20 Golden Bananas on 2020-02-06 18:35:26 Shark Breeding Statue in Chamber 5
30 Golden Bananas on 2020-02-06 18:35:41 Shark Breeding Starter Pack Statue in Chamber 6
30 Golden Bananas on 2020-02-06 18:35:46 Shark Breeding Gift Statue in Chamber 6

What you paid for on 23 January was for the stable statue. This allows you to open sharks, buy the stables in the shop, mill feed, place the stables on the field, and buy/sell in the market. If you didn't open the sharks, you would not have been able to do any of those tasks. I understand players may have had shark lairs for a long time, but they were classified as a rare stable, but with the introduction of them becoming a tropical animal that will ultimately be used for breeding, they first have to be available as stables that can be purchased. This allows players to get ready for the breeding event. You would not have been able to breed them until the breeding event went live.

The stable statue was to get ready for breeding. It does not open breeding. Sharks were only identified at that time that they would be the next breeding animal. I do recognize the shark lair statue was open before the breeding statues. This allowed you to 'grow' sharks, not breed (for colored animals) them.

Your logs do not show you having purchased the same rune twice for 20 Golden Bananas. They do show you have opened all runes associated with sharks once.

I see I see (said the blind man, as he picked up his hammer and saw).

So I now see where I spent my golden bananas. Thanks for your patience and thoroughness.
