Shipwreck bay 1 only unlocks another set of challenges?

I spent like a week striaght focused on unlocking shipwreck bay 1 because the end challenge said it unlocked shipwreck bay 1 and shipwreck bay 2 but all it does is unlock another set of challenges? shipwrekc bay 2? OMG make it make sense, my spirits are down after all that work just to unlock more work, no land/room

Don't know if you have seen the above - hope it can help you - there's info on the different steps in Shipwreck Bay. It takes lots of time and resources to open the various land areas in the game, but it's good to work on that. I received that advice when I began playing two years ago. It was quite tedious at the time and I still have areas in the Pet Playfield and Shipwreck Bay to open, but every other area - including MM Mushroom field - is open and it makes a big difference now in being able to complete tasks. Yep, it's a five stage process to open Shipwreck Bay if I remember correctly. It's a pain in the rear, but having the extra space when doing timed Baha FSQ's is very handy. It lets you put out a lot more stables and trees when you need them.

I'll try to remember to substitute the neighbour gift with Pineapple cake & Tiki timer. I never use the pineapple cake and I have too many timers. Hopefully it will give a little push.

 

thanks so much everyone, Yes i am dedicating time to unlocking areas so it's a lot of work up front but should help me in the long run with more room. I can't tell you how much I just got through the slog of shipwreck 1 just thinking id have more land lol

 

Another thing I learned is in some quests, I don't need to complete all three levels of each task before moving to the next task/level. If I complete level 1 of each task, then I can pick and chose which level of the other tasks I want. I was able to open more areas and collect specific rewards doing the ones I needed. I could open more space (usually at the final level of the last task) or collect S/SG, etc. This feature is quite handy and when I need extra S/SG, I'll search available quests and check the rewards at each task/level. Not sure I worded this well and hope it makes sense!

 

Just like MeadowCrossing said: you can cherry pick your way into any FSQ just by doing the silver step and passing to the next level. Quite usefull in MM for instance.
