Signature again.

I wonder if you can help with this. I have been adjusting my signature banner and have uploaded a new image to photobucket. I have then copied the URL and tried to change the image in the forum but it just says

 

Upload the banner to another image hosting

The image your have linked in your signature has been removed from that location, so you will need to upload it again and use the new link to fix this problem, as Gery kindly pointed out.

Good morning and thank you Gery and Teddy for your help. As you can see from my signature now, it is no better. I have now registered for dropbox and that doesn't work either; tried uploading image to photobucket again ( which worked for me before), got URL and pasted it in the drop down menu on the signature and you can see what I have got ! The old grey cells are stumped at the minute as I don't usually do anything with images etc. so rather out of my depth. Any further suggestions welcome - are there any reliable 'image hosting' sites for example ?
I know there are some players, like Gery, who make wonderful signatures but I am stubbornly determined to do it myself if at all possible !

I am sorry to see you are still having problems with the signature. Please don't copy the URL, but copy the content of the IMG code from the right side of your hosting site, which in your case is:

Thank you but it still doesn't work...... The IMG code on the hosting site includes a URL, have tried again but no luck. Have tried using the code from your last posting, which obviously worked for you, but no good. I must be doing something silly but what ?

I am not sure at the moment but it seems like you got it right! The image might disappear because the link on it has been removed. Could you try to include in your signature this code, and see if this works?

I too had difficulties with the signature.

If I copied the IMG code from photobucket I got the same result as you. I then tried to copy the Direct code and that seems to work - at least I hope so, did look nice in preview .... soon will see

 

Sorry I have been so long - a busy day today as we are renovating the kitchen.....
I have tried putting the code above in the space where the image should go, above the line of blue saying farm level etc, but when I try to save changes it says error you can only have one image/s.Not sure why as space is blank except for the line of blue writing. If I put your code line in the box it still says IMG. Was that what you wanted me to try ?[/SIZE][/FONT]

Hi Bonderosen - I tried it and it does work, I get the signature image but when I tried to save the image it still says 'Error you can't have more than 1 image/s' !!!! I then looked at the preview which gives a clue - there is the new banner image and underneath IMG. How do I get rid of this as it only shows in the preview where i can't delete it ??

Hello again muscaricat Please try -Bonderosen-'s kind suggestion as well - I have just tried it and it worked like a charm. Please delete everything in your signature box, then click on the icon which allows you to enter pictures in your post / signature, and paste the URL of the picture which can be copied by clicking on the "Direct" link from the right side of your image hosting site. ​

What is odd is that in my last post above I actually typed what is in the box above the blue writing above, yet it is giving a photo ?

Have tried every which way with this and still get this on preview and can't save changes as the other image is still there. Have looked up how to take a screenshot so here goes:

Please click on the BB code editor button: this will display the code, and you will be able to see any broken image hiding there, and remove it - then you can enter your code and save the lovely signature as displayed in the preview.
