Good day, fellow farmers! I'd appreciate some info on a 'single pen'. What exactly does it do and how does it work? Can we change the critter initially placed in it? Do different critters give different amounts of EP/TEP? A few weeks ago, I made one single pen and it seems to act as a 'giver' similar to the buffs in my Park. I placed a parrot inside and collect 2 TEP in 9hrs. The other day when harvesting, it showed a bar with critter options, but I was unable to click on it to change critters. Is there some switch/click needed to change the critter? Is my game just lagging? It does take very deliberate clicks to harvest manually, so maybe a game issue for me?

It is an EP Giver. You can place it in the park. Then click on it to open the interface window. Use the slider bar to find the critter type you want to place. Then select critter level from the available options below. Then click the [Send to pasture ] button. I just did this to confirm how it works, been a while. I used the slider to find a Salamander. Clicked on it, then below it listed all the different levels (basic through all of the colors ) Any critter you have is lit up and available for selecting. I used and Azure. Then [Send to pasture] to put the critter in it and return to the Park or wherever. Different critters and color of critters gives different amounts of EP. My Azure Salamander is worth 8 EP. The critter FAQs usually have a section in them that will state how much EP they are worth in a single pen and a large pen (holds 3 critters and interestingly enough EP rates are 3x the single rate).

    for parrots I found this.

    Single Pen:
    Emerald Parrot: 8 TEP
    Azure Parrot: 16 TEP
    Crimson Parrot: 24 TEP
    Dapper Parrot: 32 TEP
    Tropical Parrot: 40 TEP
    Party Parrot: 48 TEP
    Shakespearean Parrot: 56 TEP
    Super Parrot: 64 TEP

    Salamanders are

    Single Pen:
    Salamander: 1 EP
    Azure Salamander: 8 EP
    Dotty Salamander: 16 EP
    Forest Salamander: 24 EP
    Alpine Salamander: 32 EP
    Fire Salamander: 40 EP
    Ancient Salamander: 48 EP
    Albino Salamander: 56 EP
    Rebel Salamander: 64 EP

A quote from player BLACK CAVIAR

"They ought to call them display corrals. The EP you can earn is very small but I use them to safeguard the high level breeding animals I have so I don't accidentally breed them or sell them. They are pretty to look at in the park if a bit hard to identify exactly which animal they are. You can build more of them in the workshop in town if you wish. Baha animals may only be placed in Baha fields/shipwreck, mainland only in mainland fields/park. The one that holds three must have 3 of the same animal type although you can mix breeding levels within that animal type."

    I hope this helps.

Thank you so much. Yes, this is very helpful :) I shall have to check the pen again and try to figure out why the bar isn't showing all the time. I placed it at the back corner on my second Baha field and will need to harvest crops and delete a plot so I can move the pen - maybe it will work better that way :)
