Small Mice, Big Bash Strategy

I decided to not stress over this Quest and will pick over the lower 3 levels. After all it is my "Stay-cation". (Stay at home vacation)
But, I've made a ton of CCs selling Clown Fish, Emu's, and House Turkey's by moving that slider all the way to the right!

I agree Suzee this was early for getting the FAQs but... Someone had them before we did and all the three Level 1 breeders disappeared from the market... Yesterday, as I have noted.

 

If I'm not mistaken, TGC and possibly some premium members get the info long before it is posted on the forums.

 

Maybe I misunderstood you there.
You can finish parts of the quests for BB, without opening hibiscus statue.
But you can't buy hibiscus, from the market for CC, without opening it.

I hope this is more specific info.

Does this take into account the need to mill? Surely last minute milling does not help. Better drop rates are needed in the beginning...

 

So, decisions, decisions. I cannot finish the event on this farm but I can get most of the prizes that I want. I just lack a few Emus. Or do I sell all my Clownies and House Turkeys plus the base animals and make a quick fortune?

Now Illy is a different matter. One each of Clownie and House Turkey and six Emus! Not even enough CCs to buy them if I wanted to! No chance to make any profit so do I just do the levels needing crops or ... ... miss the event altogether (well apart from the PF prizes of course!).

I hate breeding when it isn't BB weekend - but perhaps, being Christmas and all, we may get two BB weekends together as there is a breeding event in the New Year.

I am working four days during the event but as the crops are eight hours, this doesn't really cause any problems ... oh what a dilemma!

 

I am doubtful there will be a BB day so for me this is a no go. However, I will happily part with the few emus and clownfish I have in order to relieve a few of you lovely people of some of your lovely cc's!

 

Okay, I have worked out that for the expenditure of 76 PF, 148 Pheromones and one Pink Jelly, Illy can get all the breeding animals needed in at least 9 minutes (just noticed I had activated the cloud row which speeds up breeding lol!)! Chevrefeuille can do it with 20 PF, 40 Pheromones and one Pink Jelly in the same time. So here's me going for it! And without the safety net of BB!
This would still leave me over 500 PF and not nearly enough Pheromones for the next breeding/Cuckoo breeding event!
Now if I can only think of a way to open up the next chamber and Hibiscus - only 69 GBs required!

I almost had myself convinced I wasn't going to bother on either farm lol!

 

I would need 93 GBs to open Hibiscus plus that which is needed to open Aloe. I might participate in some of it but I doubt I would be able to complete it unless the GB fairy visits me soon. (Was hoping the last Advent gift might be a few more GBs.)

 

Okay, so I have done the deed and have all those breeding animals that I needed on both farms - cost me a little more in PF and Pheromones due to a couple of hiccoughs when I got too many skips (now who would have thought I would complain about that lol!). Even if we do get a BB weekend, at least I can breed what I want or not at all.
Now what can I do about those GBs ...

 

My plan...
Plant "refined" carnations the night before the event starts to be harvested after the event starts. (If I didn't have carnations, I would use CFs with a crop I can time to harvest after the event starts.) From that I usually get at least 100 drops. Another 75-100 during the day. Another 75-100 the next night. I'll have around 250-300 of each drop the second morning. About... 30h into the event. I'll start milling at that point. Restart the mill with new drops that night before bed. Restart again the next morn. Repeat until done... Should have all the milled product on Day 5. Which is when I expect to have all the crops done as well. I'll do the breeding over the weekend, maybe. With or without BBD.

 

One question, for anyone who may know.
Does Suzy's Super-Grow increase drop rate?

Quantity and EP are obvious, but drop rate ...
I tried to find something on the forum, but without much luck.

Looks like this is an event for higher-level folks. Good luck to you all. I will likely do some of it, but not much.

 

For once I have all the needed crops and most of the needed animals . I had 16 emus, so did one quick breeding session of 12 pens to get the remaining 9 needed (good thing I had 3 extra breeding pens, got skips on 3 ). I've got hibiscus open and a good surplus of it, since I grow it for drops virtually every event , so I'll start selling soon, as well as some of my spare breeding animals. I'm glad the breeders are only level 1 this time. I don't mind that breeders are being called for more regularly, but I do believe that they are requiring too many at a time, especially the higher level ones. I don't think level 4 breeders should be included, many players can't buy huge amounts of PF, and it takes them a long time to breed that high. I've been quietly trying to buy low cost breeding animals, level 1 - 4, whenever I can since they started being donations on a regular basis, and breeding a few extra on BB weekends so I have a ready supply of all. I'll actually only have 3 days of dedicated harvesting for this event, with 3 where I will be AFK most or all the day, but I'll be on the first 2 days, which are the most important, and the 8 hour crop will actually work in my favor on the days I'm gone. I don't anticipate any difficulty getting the crops in time, using all 4 fields I usually get between 1500 and 1800 per harvest (a rough estimate, not sure of actual numbers, may be higher), which would take approximately 9-10 harvests, so I should be fine there. Hopefully the drops will be reasonable and I won't be biting my nails until the last minute waiting to see if I'll finish or not. I'll do what I can on bearbabe, but only up to bamboo there, and few breeding animals, so will just do what I can. Overall this looks like it will be a doable event, tho I do wish they would give us GB rewards since it is Baha based, but the BEP is good. Good luck, everyone!

 

after the high stress of the last quest i'm not going to even try and complete this one .... might do a couple levels that are not asking for higher level animals .... time to sit back relax and take it easy lol ....
