Something in VERY wrong

Something is very, very, very wrong with my game. I planted a whole field of Reeds 1,296ep's for that reed. I got 56 forks as drops. I have more buffs than I can count in my 150+ cloud rows, I have lots of pets (including the Lady Bug). I used CAC, ZAB, The wreath and carrot bread on these fields. I have Howie Donuts as well as all my buffs in the tree of wisdom. How do I get only 56 Forks!?!?!? I am level 214 player and I should be able to finish this event and I am NOT going to make it. Please check my game because I nearly picked up my lap top at threw it threw the window this morning and I'm ready to quit this game forever. I should be getting huge drops. I get 20 forks in the crates for goodness sakes! Something is wrong.

Drops depend on many things: Farm level, crop/stable duration, trophies etc. Each event, the drop rate is calculated by the Game Team and not all events will offer the same drop ratio. The Crate O' Septemberfest from the Giver item rewards only small amounts of Forks/Knives to win.
I am sorry you feel so frustrated, but CAC, ZAB, Wreaths and Carrot bread reward extra EP and do not effect the drop rate.

Hi Peanut, you didn't mention what plot size you used. Was it all 1x1? Or did you use 2x2 or 1x2?

 

I used 2x2's. Other farms used 1x1 and planted only Spinach with no buffs and got 107 forks for just the main field.

Question: ZAB, the wreath and carrot breat all combined will NOT effect the drop rate? Is that correct?

Just to be clear with all the buffs, pets, howie donut the tree of wisdom and stuff from the bakery all combined and a high plant (Reed) on 2x2 plots a drop rate of 56 forks is normal??? When another farm (baby farm) with 1x1 plots plants only Spinach and not all the the above mentiond buffs gets 107 forks on the main field??? That this is normal??

First, drop rates do vary from event to event as shooger.sweet explained above. In general, the smaller the plot, the better the chance for a drop. There are 44 2x2 plots on the main field vs. 202 1x1 plots. If you got 56 drops, you likely received a fork for each 2x2 plot plus some more from whatever you had on the edges. When you use smaller plots, you increase your chance of receiving more drops as demonstrated by the results from your other farm with 1x1 plots.

Second, the buffs you mention (ZAB, spring wreath and carrot bread) increase your EP when you harvest. They have no impact at all on drops. Your Howie Donut will increase your drop rate but it must be on the field prior to harvesting (much like the trophies) to see the benefit. I don't know what pets you are referring to but many of them only increase EP.

The event has been extended as announced here, so hopefully the extension will help you reach your goals

If I may; an important fact to keep in mind here is that you never get more than one of each type of drop from a plot. So with 44 2x2 plots and 26 1x1 plots along the edges it is "physically" impossible to get more than 44+26=70 drops.
