SOS Comic #6 Event Drops/Light Strings

Hi all!

Comic Event #6 starts today and this thread is for those who need a helping hand from fellow farmers to finish or achieve personal goals during this event.

The (very rough) estimated daily/24 hour period requirement is: 160 Light Strings

If you need anything else for the event, ask for it here.

Please note:

My main farm (Illy1996) usually manages to get all drops. If I do need help, I will post here, My second farm, Chevrefeuille, will not be attempting to finish this event so likewise will not require drop gifts.

So If you receive gifts from either of my farms, please do not send gifts to either of them.

If you want to return the favour, send to someone else asking for help.

Hi,
I'm really struggling ATM to make the drop count. I'll be making changes to my farm once the first challenge is complete but am not sure if I will be meeting the daily target or not. If I can have some drop lights now from anyone I'm happy to return the favour once I know (if I know) I'll have extra.

Hi squiggle, we can only send drops as a daily gift (5 or 7 of them) and they are not deducted from the drops in our inventory So it is not a matter of having extras. Just thought I would let you know. If I misunderstood your post, I am sorry.

Hi all - for some reason, the light strings are selfishly withholding their generosity at my farm! I've been trying for hours to get Step 3 finished and the drops are the only holdup. Realizing you can only gift once a day, I understand if it's not possible to help out.

I hate to ask for help again! :/

Currently I only have 244 Light String in this farm. To reach 950 in 3.5 days seem very tough. Anyone who kind enough plz send me send me th Light String. Much appreciated!!

 

Helpful hints:
In the Game Strategy Discussion part of the Forum, and in the Strategie Comic 6 thread, the following two hints came up that would help with your drops:

Tip #1 Plant higher EP (Experience Point) trees along the edges of your farm. That helped my drops go from 2-5 Light String drops to 10-13 drops! You will lose some crop area, but following Tip #2 will increase the crops!

Tip #2 Water all of your plants. The Poppies take 8 hours. When you water them, the time goes down to 6:13 hours. This means within a 24 (and a little) hour period, you have the chance to make one more harvest. That extra harvest gives you another chance to drop Light Strings.

Money problems? Then get your Mill going for some of the higher end feeds. Your mill can pump out feed 24/7. By making Cow Feed over 9 hours, I'm able to sell it for a little over $20,000! That more than pays for my water.

Hi, It seems the drops are a problem again. I am on 3 and still need 100. can't believe it is so low at this point in the event.
Any help would be appreciated. thanks
I'm now on the last lv. and need 200 strings. I've never seen the drops so low. looks like I'm not going to finish but I'll give it a good try. really want to!

 

This is the first event that I felt I would complete as a newbie farmer, had a zucchini thingy that I won in the farm wheel, purchased a pumpkin jam recipe and have been doing great with my crops ... but the drops are killing me

My drop rate has been terrible and is the only thing keeping me from completing the event. I've done everything I can to maximize the drops but it looks like I'm still going to come up short. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I don't know if I will ever get a cloud row....But I sure am trying. I was successful on step one!! Which I didn't think I could do. On top of all the confusion I was just scared to start. I did it and then Step 2 done! For the first time I thought I might be able to complete an entire event. I have never completed an entire one before. So I still feel pretty good until Step 3......can't get enough drops! I still need 52 to get past step 3, then 450 for last step Whew! I have all my Sneezewort done & working hard on my Glitter Poppies only 6,664 to go. Yikes!!! I could use some help! Anything you can send, including your advice would be helpful. Scarlett, what is your farm name? I get a this player doesn't exist. In future reference, if you want some help and your farm name is different from your forum name, please put your farm name in your post asking for help.

Except than planting the long hour crops, what are the crafting products what help us to increase our Event Drops?

Hi Adelin. You might be better to post in the strategy post (under Game Strategy Discussion). There may be people here who could help but there is a lot information posted there already that you might find useful. I don't know of any crafting products that would help with event drops but someone else might know something.

 

Hi adeline88 - there is no craft product that will increase event drops but as Chevrefeuille pointed out, there are ways to increase your drops. Good luck!

 

Hi i am in great need of string lights. If anyone can help i would greatly appreciated it. I have the sneezewort and i will have the mill sails and i should have the last 5000 of the poppys before the end but my drops have been horrendous since i donated my trophies to the tree. i only donated one at first and since it was doing good with drops for several weeks i decided to donate the 2nd one since i could use the plots for plants. well that has turned out to be the wrong thing to do. i even have a howie donut that i have been dragging field to field and just got another one and still terrible on the drops. I even have trees out like i saw someone suggest (i didnt take all my trees down in the beginning). So if anyone can please help me i would really like to finish this event since that will be the only thing that will keep me from finishing. Thank you so much!! If i can i will send one back to whom ever needs one.
