You know, my last post made a lot of sense at the time I wrote it. :p The brain fog has cleared momentarily, and I now realize I was comparing apples to oranges, since I was comparing the total of all snowflakes from 3 event crop fields to just one field of carnations. :wuerg: Luckily, the wheel saved me from my befuzzlement and gave me the 100% harvest, so I would have concentrated on crocus no matter what, since cold only allows me to sleep 2-3 hours at a time. So I'm done with crops and now can focus on drops, yay!

I've got the last crocus I need to grow out now. Hopefully I can increase my snowflake drop after that. It's slow going for me but I've been focusing on the event crop only to get it out of the way.

I got all the GB's I needed and grew fox heads overnight so I feel pretty good about finishing the whole thing now.

Hi lindzeee, I plant my longest crop over night. And as soon as you have enough event plants, continue the long plants for higher drops. You can also post in the SOS thread.
Good Luck, and may your Snow Fall be Dazzling!! :)

Hi o_Ops-a-Daisy, Sugar-apples come from the Annona Tree. Chamber 10, second tree, in the Temple. If you are low on GBs there are a lot of suggestions in this thread of where to get more. :music: Good Luck! :)

I guess I'm not doing too bad. I'm at 21 on the snowflake (left) side and 37 on the dewdrop (right) side.

I'm just plodding along doing the best that I can. 0 strategy, except I wiped everything out to grow event crops on all my fields and Parrot poop on Crystal Falls. I finally got all of Crystal Falls opened and only had 28 of the gold (classic II) parrotts so I had enough room to put out my 1 of a kind - needed for FSQ - animals and trees.

Am I gone to have to do math soon??? To know to know when to put on the breaks to my event crops? I am so clueless when it comes to adding 1 + 1. Doesn't that equal 12. & I really dislike growing too much event crops. I want to get to growing the long crops for drops so I can be as obsessed as everyone else. xD:inlove::p

PS - thanks to whoever posted about the Parrot poop. Great suggestion!!!!!

'Low' requirements along with RL commitments and the such made me decide this morning to continue the growth of Giant Crocussus on a single mainland field and longtimers for drops on the other two. This way I keep the much needed drops somewhat in line with event crops plus I reduced the risk of having to wait 8+ hrs for longtimers at the finish in order to get the last needed drops; instead I'ld rather wait 4 hrs to finish the last needed Giant Crocussus. So here on MAIN it's drops first, crops last.

On BAHA I keep 2 fields with Giant Carnations going during the day and Bonnet Cactus overnight. It seems on BAHA the crops and drops are pretty much in line with the requirements. No need or urge to change it untill event crops are done.

Crystal Poo is a neat CC-saver.

It's nice to read and see most of the farmers are progressing well and do have fun collecting the goodies awarded for the effort. Let's keep going!

I still need 3 GB's to open Java apples. I'm currently at step 25 on both sides, the plan is to focus on the left side only. At step 41 there are more GB's to be had.

So I've grown most of the crocus and now have just one field growing the rest needed. I've switched to the other two fields over to long term crops for the needed drops. Currently I've got my flower CR activated and using a potion to further reduce time and I'm growing daffodils. I thought about roses but I'm low on the daffodils anyway and I do not want to use any SG at this point.

Baha seems to be going better with drops. I should have all needed carnations by the end of today and then can just do drop crops there.

Good luck to everyone working away!

1/2 way done....well except for drops. :p Thanks to the 100% harvest bonus, I'm done with event crops(although they are so lovely...especially the giant carnation...wish we could keep them!!:music:).
    I didn't realize we get the givers 2x!!!! Yeah!!!:D

I love all the strategy!!!! :inlove: Good luck to all with getting drops!;)

I have a question what least amount of time growing crops is people getting good drops off of?

For no refinements - Roses seem to be the best on EP output for time to grow. 96 EP for 10:48 minutes
Onions are 15 hrs with 90 EP and Turkish Melissa is 97 EP with 15:44. I still occasionally use roses with water for drops since I can grow them quicker than even refined carnations. Refined carnations without SG and adding water is a little over 12 hrs. and 118 EP
    Unrefined is 18:54.
Roses are awesome for - "I have to work days" and they are done when I get home!

I am basing EP output on higher likely hood you will get drops.

Marly in general the rule is the longer time it takes for a crop to mature, the higher the chance for a drop is. Extra's like Howies and/or LL rune percentage increases this chance.

I think there is no minimum or maximum time, most likely (not tested) we'll get as many drops per hour growing 60 * 1 minute Cress as when we do grow 1 * 1 hour Sunflowers. It's the unknown odds which do determine if Cress or Sunflowers provide more but I'm pretty sure after several hours growing Sunflower will prove to give better drops.

Overall I tend to use crops which do suit my RL and freetime gameplay the best. I consider any crop running for 8 hours or more a longtimer which does 'boost' the drops I get. Maybe not by much but I'll take it.

thanks guys I was just curious what crops others were using and still getting good drops I usually use refined carnations or roses but wondered if there were other less timed crops that still gave good drops :) like crop squares or crop circles ect....

I've been growing refined roses in 5 hrs and 41 mins using water, manure, the flower CR, Source of Life and Elixir of Life... the drops are crazy all over the place, varying between 17 to 33 per field.

so does that source of life and elixir work on all flowers or just roses? is there anything else we can use besides refinements? and I have that flwr CR too :)

Marly - I have found roses generally work best for me when I have time constraints (using green love and water love refinements). I have tried other combinations, but have gone back to using roses when I haven't the time for refined carnations, rose hips or foxtail. The source of life and elixir work on all main land farm flowers (no Baha).

Currently at the 25 mark on the event, with approximately two more event crop harvests to go. RL just will not cooperate - it seems I must work overtime when I would rather be farming! :p

    Saturina22,
We need 26 SF in total.....14 for the left side and 12 for the right side.
Good luck to all of us! Pretty bad drop's rate again!

This morning's harvest has me at 41/75 on both sides and on BW 33/75. I have an appointment that will take most of the day so at next harvest, I will put out wild rose (21 hours) and saguaro (24 hours) to be ready tomorrow morning. I hope this will yield good drops.

Good luck everyone! Keep going! I'm really enjoying the pretty event plants, especially the giant purple crocus :inlove:
