I have 3 farms (a high level farm, mid level farm, and a very new farm) and they all took part in this event. I have to say that I found the event enjoyable and beneficial in each of them.
My high level farm finished the low drop yielding event crops in a short amount of time, and was able to obtain the necessary drops very quickly after that. I enjoyed being able to get the event crop out of the way, and move on to earning drops while growing much needed regular crops to boost my barn stock.
The graphics were just incredible. From the lovely flowers, to the magically beautiful, ever-evolving event layer, I was enchanted by them all :inlove: I also thoroughly appreciated the pop-up list that showed step by step what was needed, and checked off what had been successfully delivered. It saved me a lot of going back and forth between the game and the in-forum FAQ.
The prizes were generous and appropriate to each one of my farms' abilities. My youngest farm got a few goodies, including 1 giver item, plus enjoyed earning great EP by growing the event crops. My high level farm used hard earned cloud rows, buffs, and refinements, and was well rewarded for the effort.
The only negative I can think of is, again, the drop rate that some of my fellow players have been experiencing over several events. I'm seeing familiar names of long time players repeatedly making the same statements. These are people who have put in the time to learn the game, and have built their farms up in order to be able to meet the challenges of events, yet they are failing. There must be a reason for it that's beyond their control. Please look into their claims. When I see my friends failing and discouraged, or worse, leaving the game, it takes most of the joy out of my successes and leaves me feeling unhappy and discouraged as well.

Decree, I appreciate that you came back to apologize. I'm glad you realize that not only was it inappropriate to leave feedback solely regarding someone else's feedback, but that it was rather hypocritical to make insulting and accusatory remarks toward those who weren't getting enough drops, when you, yourself, were the second in line in the SOS thread asking for help with drops during the previous event. I'm glad you've been able to look at the situation from a different perspective and understand the frustration of those who, despite their best efforts, haven't been successful in completing challenges lately. And now, I hope we can move past this to happier sentiments, and sharing the fun of a game we all love.

I have to disagree with you because of the statement that your high level farm was rewarded because of the hard earned buffs, etc. and your youngest farm only got a few goodies. My opinion is that if an event is open to a level 39 player then a level 39 player should be able to reasonably finish the event if they buy the baskets or put in the number of hours required to do so. For those players unable to compete the event should be put into a 2nd chance slot in the Farmers' Society so that they don't miss out on the goodies.

8)I'm a bit late to seeing the post I want to address - but I feel the need to address it.

Decree, I must say that it takes a big heart/mind/willpower, emotional bravery and concern to openly accept responsibility for an offense made, even when unintended. Thank you for your apology post - right on the mark - and insight into your finer qualities. (Spoken like a true 'left-brainer'!)
I can only hope that all of us can be so brave when we each taste that shoe-leather before we are aware of what we have done! (And Chocolate sauce! - Nice one, joanc123!!:inlove: May all our feet be covered in it!!)xD
I am reminded of the famous quote: "To err is human; to forgive, Divine."
It is a pleasure and a privilege to know you both this day.:inlove:
    (Everyone else too, of course!);)

To BP and my fellow players, the eloquence, the concern, the thoughts, the expressions, the companionship! BP there are so many things in our lives we can invest our time in and about. We all found this game, we choose this game, we play this game. It is one of the outlets in each of our lives, for no matter how long we participate. We all want the best in this game, the ability to enjoy it, progress, see achievement. And although a game, we look to you BP to understand our concern when the fun aspect is diminished. Can you please find a way to standardized the drop rates for the events? The lowest level players should be able to complete it within the specified time lines, based on reasonable growing, harvesting etc. Please don't loose the base that really wants to participate.

I have completed this event with ease, do to the fact i always prepare my farm to be able to have a good start to an event.

At First the Drop Rate was really good. But the Drop Rate on Growing Pink Crocus and Spring Lily was quiet poor.

As from other posting here, many farmers did moan and complain about lack of Drops. As you cannot expect to get a good drops on Any Crop or Event Crop. Without many any effort to upgrade the Crop and Animal Trophy. As it makes a Huge Difference as both Trophies are at 29% Combined....

Those who do not have the Living Legend Rune unlocked. Need to Move both Crop and Animal Trophies needs to be placed into Fields before harvesting their Farms. Every Farmer needs to take this into consideration before moan about lack of Event Drops...

If they have do what i have suggested above then they have every right to moan about lack of Drops....If they have ill prepare their farms before Event Started. It makes it harder higher target to get required drops during remainder of this event. Every Farmer has lost of Drop potential, when their farm is idle ready to be harvested. Cannot take Frustration out on farmerama or Fellow Farmers or Big Point. Idle Time if Rife to every farmer playing this game.

I am one of those Farmers, whom never buy Event Baskets. The simply reason i always prepare my farm well for Events. I only have one farm which is very well manage with Efficiency. I always end up with Surplus Event Drops every time !!

Farmers who have more than one farm. Can have a huge Impact not to do well on Events that need high Drops. Simply they lack concentration to focus to Boost Drop Rates during Events. It Makes it much harder to do this without using the Harvester..

I Enjoyed this Event, As I liked the Prizes earned at each Step. But there was too many Steps. But just too many steps and levels to do during an event. It would help to convert these steps into Donation Bundle Steps as done in other events.

I am not happy to see posting by farms who got lousy drops from Harvesting High Level Crops. I have Tried it myself yes the number of Drops from High Level Crops was way below the normal average. But I was getting good Drops from using Medium or Low Level Crops. It Seem so Strange to me. :)

Congratulations Mooboy but if you have to prepare your fields in advance and use all of the available runes/buffs, etc. then what do you have to do to complete a "hard" event? In my opinion if this event was open to a Level 39 player then a Level 39 player should be able to complete the entire event either by buying baskets, etc. or by putting in the long hours required to grow the crops.

As far as having more than one farm affecting game play I agree. Having more than one farm and with the events occurring one right after the other I do not have the time to invest in refinement of crops, etc.
    I have 3 farms:
    My original farm;
my 2nd farm that I started when the Artisan shop started (to see whether I wanted to stick with the jams or become a baker) and my 3rd farm that was started accidentally when I had log in problems.
I requested that I be able to consolidate them into one farm but this was denied by BP -- at this point I have some items on my other farms that I would like to keep but I will probably get rid of them sometime in the future.

I have reached the point where I wish that all future events were changed to Farmers' Society Quests and that we only had 4 well thought out events per year for everyone plus the Top 10 Farmer event that is only for the highest Level player plus the short term charity events.

If the drop rate in events depends on being at your computer every time when crops are ready to harvest ...I for one cannot always be stuck in front of my computer to Harvest on time ...I have a life Beyond Farmerama ...that is more IMPORTANT to me
And have you ever tried harvesting a field with lag ... because the lag in this game is dreadful

The initial drop rate for my farms gave me encouragement that the event would be a nice paced event. The crops were lovely especially the pink crocus and I am looking forward to the far off distant future of level 145 to be able to grow the purple crocus. The prizes were nice too. Initially, it looked a little over the top with 2 crops, 3 drops and milling requirements but I found the drops from the trees to be reasonable which could be gotten out of the way easily enough. If we need to mill for an event, please keep the milling time to a minimum in order to not disrupt other milling tasks.

I am a farmer who has the flexibility to harvest when it suits me. I did have some real life obligations that took me away from the game but planted crops to accommodate. However, I, too found myself stressing over drops. Somewhere in the middle of the event tasks, drops dried up on my farm.

With an identical configuration day 1 gave 226 drops and later in the event drops were 107. For me, that is too wide a range to be random.

The event looked promising and I looked forward to it but having to chase drops spoiled the fun for me. When all successful strategies are used (trophies maxed out, Howie, refined crops, long crops overnight, i.e, carnations, rose hips, turnips, and no idle time) it becomes frustrating rather than challenging.

My 2nd farm, level 97, finished with just over an hour to spare and only because I have wonderful neighbors and friends who are thoughtful and generous in their gifting.

I didn't have a big problem with drops despite being extremely busy in real life and as a result having my farm be idle a lot. I finished the cloud row fine, and then spent super grow to get drops to finish the rest of the steps. I viewed the cloud row as the real end of the event and the extra steps as an optional stretch goal.
Personally I like having challenges in the game and don't see events as rewards for long term players but as challenges which keep the game interesting. I think this event would have been better listed as a hard event though. I really liked that the extra givers were at the end of the rows so you could choose to skip them if your inventory is already busting at the seams (though I did choose to get them as they are generous ep givers, it's nice to have the choice - sometimes we've been saddled with some really useless decorative items whether we wanted them or not).
Very minor point - I was disappointed when finishing the event didn't make the seedlings in the pots bloom. I like growing plants and that would have been nice to see.

Decree - of course your apology is accepted! The fact that you apologized shows you have integrity and I loved to hear about how you reflected on your previous post. You are a very much appreciated player in the game and I, for one, am even more impressed by you!
