I'm happy with what I've received so far in this event but I agree that giving yellow stables back from a 1250 point exchange (with no lower option) seems rather insulting. However I think it's great that it is an opportunity to try and get some of the older stables....some of us have been asking for this so nice one BP for listening!
I also think it's great we could put workshops on this train as well!

Whew...it sure was a stables marathon just reading through the FAQ lists! I really liked having a choice in buying wonder stables and the chance to pick up a few that I didn't have. However I was disappointed in the amount of overlap between the lists (bears, cats and fox all were on 3 of the different list and I wasn't particularly interested in any). It would have been better to have fewer special stables on each list and no overlap.

Of the older stables I limited myself to ursa major. Of 10 tries, I got 2 squirrels, 2 owls, 2 skunks and 1 glow worm. All on my wish list so I'm happy with that. The other 3 were Beaver and yellows.

I have to say... I am thoroughly disappointed in the train results! I have made 9 attempts( just sent in train #10), so far at getting the elusive butterfly perfumery. My results are absolutely horrible:
    6 Beaver II stalls
    2 orange turkeys
    1 yellow pigsty

I did have much better luck on the BB package, received platypus, kiwi birds and tortoises. All of which I needed. Just wish I wasnt spending 1250 exchange points for junk!!

Gotta agree with the remarks about yellow stables. And it has all been said many times before by many people. I effectively just paid 15 bb for a yellow goat stall which I could buy for cc or make quite easily with a little patience. It's not the only yellow thing I got either. What a disappointing and discouraging experience, I feel somewhat cheated and I don't have a fortune to spend in real money so a treat should be a treat. Needless to say it gets harder to get excited about 'wonder' (or should that be 'nevermind') stables and I haven't even been here that long.

Nothing that doesn't cost bb should be the result of gambling with bb. People give you real money for bb, so if you actually care about customer retention or customer satisfaction, give them something worthwhile in return. Or... wait 'til the event's reputation precedes it and no one is biting.

First I want to say Thank you for listening to us and allowing workshops to be loaded onto the train.
Now I want to say that the event is nice but really needs some work. I bought quite a few of the Wonder stable...a variety of kinds.. and I have not got this many Yellow stables and workshops (or Classic Beaver II) in a very long time. So I am left to conclude that this was the way you wanted the event to work. It did not make me buy more, it made me buy less than usual.
I really like the whole idea behind the train...but...to come up with 1250 points you must use at least one major stable and then fill in with lesser numbers. If I am going to give up 6 stables then I would like to know that I am going to receive something nice in return. (Even an Orange Chicken) When you have just won say a Yellow bat guano that is worth 170 points after putting in 1250 points you do not feel like you have won anything. Remove the yellow pens as prizes and I think you will have a really nice event.

I agree on the yellow pens wholeheartedly. I myself was fairly lucky not to get to many from the wonder stables I purchased. However they should never have even been an option for the luxury train cargo.

This was my very first experience with both of these events. In the wonder stable event I liked that there were older stables that were offered, since I'm a new player it was great to have an opportunity to get a discontinued stable. I would participate in another event like this.

The Farm Express train however I'm not sure about. I liked that you could use workshops however to reach 1250 you HAD to give up at least one rare stable or a high level upgrade. To do so and get back a yellow anything was completely insulting. Has the feeling of a giant bait and switch maneuver to it. At the very least yellow upgrades should have had a much higher trade in value than they did. Based on the fact that they all had such dismally small trade in values means that BP knows just how worthless they are. I get the concept that it is a gamble but giving up 6 items to get 1 is already a large sacrifice no need to make it worse.

I wouldn't participate in this event again if the yellow stables are included.

The idea of the Express is a good one because most of us have surplus stables, workshops and upgrades cluttering our inventories, but it is poorly executed IMO. If you, more often than not, get back less than what you put in, what is the point exactly? I sacrificed four rare stables, several orange upgrades and several workshops and in return I got two rare stables and one orange workshop I didn't want or need. Why can't the Express be about turning in all those useless things we all have lying around and get something good and fair out of it? How about 10 yellow upgrades in exchange for a red or pink one? Or 5 rare stables in exchange for that NEW one? As things are now there is too much randomness and the odds are stacked against the players which, as you can see above, leads to disappointment and resentment.

I've done 3 train things, got junk, not doing anymore. Pity because I like the idea. But I agree with all the others, its too much of a gamble.

The idea in itself is a good one, a way to get rid of all the pointless stalls that have been accumalated, BUT, and it is a very big but... when you donate 1250 or slightly over, depending on what you can donate, to receive a 190 stall in return, is more than a little insulting.

I have used most of my available tools to build lots of peanut butter factories and parrot feather collecting stations and from about 15 San Gigantica offerings I have not received a perfumery or anything that I didn't already have. I am very, very disappointed with the results. I also feel that to only be able to donate six pens to the train is a mistake. It usually means over donating in order to make up the 1250 required and being unable to donate unwanted, smaller value pens. Reading through this thread, is there actually any perfumeries available? I would like to reassure those without enough pens to donate, or tools to build them, that you haven't missed much as it's been a dead loss for me.

I finally received a perfumery on my 23rd train. What was slightly disheartening is the number of people I read about who received one on their second or fourth try. I'd love to know the algorithm ...

I totally agree with josstreater I had 16 cargo stables and "not" one of them is of any use to me .
The idea is good the results a poor I am very disappointed.

The "rewards" from the train are grossly out of balance for the "payment" put in.

As for the other stables, they too, are out of balance.

If I have enough points in the useless stables I have received, I will put them on the train. Other than that, I am done spending my hard earned stalls/BBs on this event.

I too am disappointed not to get a perfumery. I didn't have many high value pens to trade into the train so I too built them in the workshop and have now used up all my feather collectors, mallets, saws and wood so I made as many as I could. I traded in to get at least 12 mystery stables (maybe more but not less). I have got more dairies which I don't need as I have the milk trees and lots of beavers. If some people got this with less attempts and hard work it simply is not fair. I haven't participated in the San Gigantica events before and will not be doing so again. I hope others had better luck than I did. (Feeling cheated :sleepy:)

Just opened my final stable, it's another beaver. i wonder how we are supposed to do the new event in the FS? lol

I am agreement with everyone else and believe yellow pens should not be given. On one of my little farms I traded in 2 yellow chicken egg farms and rare items and only got back a Yellow Chicken Farm! At least if yellow are included make them on the much higher animals. We also can't put enough of the yellow ones on this train to get rid of them, which was my main goal. I will not take a gamble again - I would prefer to give my surplus pens, including rare ones, away next B&T.

First off, thank you for letting us trade in workshops and their upgrades. Those things were just gathering dust. With the introduction of product trees, a lot of those workshops were counterproductive (no pun intended.) Personally, I'm not upset that the jumbo pens are gone; I never thought they were worth the space they took up for what you got out of them. I always recycled any I got right away. I'm also not upset that the trade-in system was simplified. Having nine different options was a bit too much, I thought.

However, I'm not crazy about the 1,250 minimum required to do a trade now. The odds of getting something truly crappy are too high for that cost. It was one thing if you traded in 250 points worth of pens and got a yellow one back, but five times as much? I don't think so. And 50 BBs to buy one? Ha! Having said that, I did have a lot of things gathering dust in my inventory, so I did a few. I wasn't using what I turned in, so I was willing to take a risk. For the most part, what I got wasn't worth what I put in.

As for the new stables, not going to waste my money. As has been pointed out for ages, we don't have enough room for what we already have. Give us another field and there might be some interest in the newer stalls and trees. Also, I don't appreciate being punished for sticking with the game; higher level players have a lower chance of getting the good stalls. This is especially true when it's only a matter of time before the new stall will be offered as a prize.

I do like that you offer the different stable packages, so people can try to get the stalls they need. But if you're going to offer different packages, make them different. There's a lot of overlap in what each of the packages offer. Someone could buy one from each and end up with identical stalls. It's especially insulting to spend BBs (and those real money) and get something worthless back. If you want to increase your sales, make it worthwhile. Make the odds of winning fair and not favoring one group of players over another, and take the insulting prizes out of the mix.

Haven't read far enough to see others results yet.... I am usually not lucky since I have stopped spending mega money BUT today I have only done 2 train trips and both have hatched into perfumeries - so guessing the odds are good!! ??
