A friend of mine mentioned that her little niece had gotten a mite clingy after the storm and the preschool workers were highly understanding. For very young children it had to be traumatic. I know the little Christmas things I made might not seem like much but some families may have lost everything in the storm and a little something like what I made might be a small help this Christmas. the little gift I made was made out of those fuzzy wire things you get at the dollar stores crafting section and I bent them to look like angels, though I can't seem to get the wings on them, oh well.

This is a really nice thread. I saw it briefly during my 2 week mandatory evacuation from the hurricane and subsequent flooding, and it made me smile :) I hope everyone in its path got through it ok, and will make it safely through this latest hurricane, Michael, as it passes. My thoughts are with those in Florida tonight as they bear the brunt of this one.

Beautiful picture poppyseed! :inlove: My thoughts and prayers for all those who were in Hurricane Michael's way! Watching the news
the Florida Panhandle , Mexico Beach area was were it made landfall, and I believe the winds were 155 mile an hour! Lots of destruction
as far as the eye/drone could see! Really horrible! I believe my neighbor Will-O-Wisp is up there somewhere and has not been on the game since it started! It is probably because she has no power! ;) I hope all is well with her, I can't wait till she comes back on so we all know she is ok! Take care everyone and stay safe!

Happy to hear you made it safe, -poppyseed-. :) I saw the news about Michael & Florida. Will-O-Wisp is on its path ? My thoughts are with her. Have you heard from her now ? or anyone heard from here ? She posted last on 6th October.

I am glad US made it without sacrificing human lives. But Indonesia, has lost more than 2000 lives to tsunami. Sad for them.

Our rainy season is yet to start & I hope they are not bad. We need rains. Lot of rains to tide over a year till next monsoon.

Everyone from Mexico Beach needs prayers. The town was destroyed. Hardly anything left and still lot of people missing.

So sad to hear that, how frightening it must be for the people there. Adding my prayers to yours. :(
