I would say we do need that much glue, while there is
orange and red tokens as a reward, so we do not need to glue so many stickers just to get tokens.
One more reason to play Great Chase event.

 

Scribbling on a piece of paper I come up with at least 900 glues and 700 stickers. What confusing me is the fact that by completing a level you can get enough tokens to upgrade stickers in the case of going from orange to red: glueing 100 orange stickers to active second bonus will grant us the 50 red token to upgrade 50 other orange stickers to 50 red ones. In the case of activating the first bonus with 150 glued yellow sitckers, that will only give 75 orange tokens, but 100 is needed to complete the orange stickers to activated the second bonus... That's just for activating the bonuses. We need to take into account that after glueing stickers we ned to create more to be able to upgrade them to be able to paste them. I know my logic is right, but I have to say that the heavy medication I'm on is destroying completely my analytical mind to do the basic math!

As Pups mentioned earlier, these are early days, and as everyone brainstorms and we practice, we'll get better! Thanks to all for sharing your ideas.

 

We only need the glue to place the stickers in the album. We don't need glue to craft them. For crafting, we only need the colored tokens, and so I think peony's calculations look right to me. I am going for upgrading the red album first as I think it will give me the best EP boost as givers provide the majority of EP on my farm.

All stickers start as yellow. A certain amount have to be pasted to open the orange album, and a certain amount of orange stickers have to be pasted to open the red album. I am glad we get both glue and tokens in the event.

 

You're right, we don't need glue. But to get the 25 missing orange tokens, we need to glue yellow stickers for that

First bonus activated: 150 yellow stickers
Needed: 150 yellow stickers + 150 glues
Rewarded: 75 orange tokens (gluing 2 yellow stickers gives 1 orange token)

Second bonus activated: 100 orange stickers
Needed: 100 orange stickers + 200 glues = 100 yellow stickers + 100 orange tokens + 200 glues
Missing 25 orange tokens = 50 yellow stickers + 50 glues
Total: 150 yellow stickers + 250 glues combined with the 100 orange tokens
Rewarded: 50 red tokens (gluing 2 orange stickers gives 1 red token)

Third bonus activated: 50 red stickers
Needed: 50 orange stickers + 50 red tokens + 150 glues
To get 50 orange stickers we need 100 yellow stickers + 100 glues for 50 orange tokens + another 50 yellow stickers combined with the orange tokens
Total 200 yellow stickers + 250 glues combined with 50 red tokens

This makes 500 yellow stickers + 650 glues

But my brain is telling me that I’m missing something and/or there’s something wrong and I can’t pinpoint it exactly…

 

I think that the event rewards 4 orange tokens and 2 red tokens so you can craft those stickers without having to glue yellow stickers to get the tokens. That will reduce how much glue we need.

Much like Season Rewards in events, we may see more stickers, glue, and colored tokens to upgrade stickers as event rewards.

 

Yes, there's also that to take into consideration. At least the Season's event is a grow (buy) & throw kinda event. If you're missing X amount of points you can go look in the donation boxes and chose something. But this sticker & token buisness is a bit more complicated. It makes me think about the event where we need to mill one item, to mill a second item to finally mill the final third one to gift to the event. I'm getting old and my brain is telling me to just ignore it, but my event OCD is telling me the contrary!

Truthfully I am personally still pretty confused.
It goes without saying.. that if we need to come to each other to explain the basics of the game.. it's no longer.. a "fun game"?

 

I think I will ignore this just as I have ignored both Seasons and Valley. I have enough things to complete without adding more into my poor old brain. I am a hoarder so building up stocks which may never be used is what I do. Same as in real life, my husband despairs of things I collect but he did bring home a lovely used musical biscuit tin the other day so I can blame him as well.

 

I am with you, I don't do Seasons, or the Valley and for sure not the Sticker thing! I would rather build up the stocks in my barn, you never know when we might need something!

 

I do Seasons, I do Valley and I am doing Stickers as well and events, because you never know when I may need something. I had no idea when there were recipes as reward, but I thought they might be useful someday and so I got recipe of CAC long before I was able to use it. Now I do Valley to get peaceful home for my Jumbo trees on Sunflower Hill. Some are there, but I need much more space to have them all there.

One thing I regret I usually skipped farm wheel, when there was Flowers, because they were not very good givers. So I did not have them all, when we had Party Ticket Magic Stalk Row 1. I bought the missing ones later. Hint: if you do not have that cloud row and you are growing endlessly flowers, they are sold now as Seasonal items and you'll get the row free as well. I hope I do not need to regret not buying all stickers over the years from Event shops.

I also build up the stocks, I do not give just everything to buyers doing Seasons. There is good deals and not so good deals.

 

@-Päärynä11 , I forgot to say I usually do all breeding events, and almost all events.
I also only have Confectionary and Bakery open fully. I can make CAC but when it came time to buy the pinkie pie recipe BP no longer offers it to buy! I thought the others were a waste of time and no value to me!
The beauty of this game is we all have our own ideas on what goals we have for our farms and meeting people from around the world without leaving home is amazing!

Maybe instead of this sticker thing they could give us more space for the large amount of trees, animals etc etc that we can't place because we don't have enough room - I will not be doing this sticker thing - how about more buffs that we can use - more places for buffs - anything other than stickers

 

You have already opened all of Sunflower Hill? I have opened only part of it to get more room for my Jumbo trees.

You have to have signed up for newsletters in Account Settings. Though the reward from the bonus code is the same, every person gets a different code, so someone else's bonus code won't work for you.
