I do find it very annoying that there are so many offers of 600 units of manure available on the market, especially during an event like the current one which needs manure for the 8 hour crop. Please can you consider stopping the sale of manure in amounts more than 300 units as it is only premium farmers who can have that amount which is unfair to the majority of players. It is not worth an ordinary player buying more than 300 units of manure as we cannot store it even for 5 seconds ! The necessity to scroll through loads of offers in excess of 300 units is unnecessary and my guess is that it affects the price as well. Come on BP this is a simple enough change to make please.

I cannot say that I agree. Why shouldn't premium members be able to sell and buy 600 manure? It does make a difference to those selling. Now they can list 10*600 (or is it 20*600 with premium?), halving the max offer would also half how much they can list in total. They do pay RM and I don't begrudge them their privileges.

PS. Not a premium member, my manure pile holds 200.

Ι am not a premium member and I can understand the reason of your idea.
It is for me so much annoying.

I can see that is is annoying to see 600 on sale but for people who only have a 100 manure pile, then surely that must be annoying to have offers over 100?!?
We must just remind people not to buy more than they have space for on their manure pile. I am sure we all bought a big lot at a good price when we first started out, without realizing we were wasting our hard earned CC. I know I did.

I agree it is annoying, but there are lot of things in the market which are annoying. I would like to explain why it makes a difference being allowed to sell more.

I an event like this when you know manure prices are going to rise, you can profit on it by buying and reselling at a much higher price: Buy as much as your manure pile holds, then offer it for sale again immediately for a much higher price. Do this 10 times (or 20 if you are a premium member). If done at the right time, you can easily get a profit of 50cc per manure. If your manure pile holds 600 that means 30.000cc per lot. 20 lots means 600.000cc in pure profit!

But if one were not allowed to offer more than 300 manure, that means cutting the profit in half. So it is not just a matter of convenience for non premium players. It is also a matter of lost cc earning potential for premium players.

good idea Mir do you buy and resell often manure so that you make lot of CC or it is better for premium players?

and I understand you point that you disagree

It is a bit better for premium players because they can sell more.

I don't do it very often, but that is mostly because I am lazy or forget xD

I need to find a good way to make CC because I found in the market cocoas but the one is 40.000CC and I need money...
Maybe I will try it thank you for sharing :)

Goodness - what a response ! Actually what I meant -Mir85-, but perhaps did not make clear, is that there should be a limit of 300 or 200 perhaps ( I had forgotten about that) per lot sold. Therefore a premium player can still sell 600 units of manure but in smaller lots. In that way more players can buy the amount they need.

I quite like the 600 units, that way I can buy manure to fertilise all my fields in one go without having to go back to the city - now stopping the sale of units of 1 and 4 units ...;)

I am premium and I only sell mine in bundles of 50. I think that is a good compromise. ;)

You were perfectly clear and I understood your point. What I meant to say, and tried to make clear in my second post, is that your suggestion would actually affect some premium players negatively.

Now gold and diamond subscribers can list 20*600 = 12.000 units of manure on the market at the same time. With your suggestion that would be halved to 20*300 = 6.000 units.

This would also half the potential profit when buying and reselling manure as described in my second post.

Sorry that I chose today to express my negative/unpopular opinions. I am not very good at doing it diplomatically, so usually I try to avoid it.

This was uncalled for, I am sorry.

Sorry, but I cannot agree. Sure, its slightly annoying to see sales of items you cannot but, but that's just how it is. Beginning players are limited to 100. When you complete the runes on the Tree of Wisdom, you will get to store more. Beyond that... premium players pay for their privileges. Everything cannot be immediate or easy...then there would be no challenge.

OK -Mir85- sorry, I had not realised what a difference it would make to premium players, that really is a great benefit to have for those that wish to pay.:oops: I can see that my idea is not a good one ........
Woody - I agree, I would not want everything to be easy, we all want a challenge. I was ignorant of the privileges that premium farmers have, so my idea simply does not hold water !:oops:

@Muscricat ~I don't think this thread is such a bad idea... I think it's brought up some good conversations and raised awareness of different points of view. :) I'm glad you started it! Please reconsider asking the thread to be closed as I have really enjoyed the conversation and strategy found here.

I think you did fine Mir (maybe just smile a bit more often when you talk so new folk know you are friendly!) ;)

I do think you have a very valid point about the premium members. (Of which I am also not one). My thoughts are that the membership packages are pretty outdated as the game has changed so much since it was first begun. For instance, as another player pointed out in the old forum, even the auto-tree harvester isn't so great now. In order to get any EP bonuses from pets, you have to manually activate your pets (6 pet owls = 60% ep bonus) right before your trees are due to be auto-harvested, or you will miss out on any EP-bonuses from your pets. That player said he keeps the tree auto-harvester off, activates pets, and then manually turns on the auto-tree harvester to harvest his trees, and then turns it back off again until the next time he harvests his trees... It was originally designed to be like a free harvester for trees. Back then, no one back then used 1x1 plots (waste of water and manure) because buffs like CAC had yet to be created. ;)

When I remember, I too will buy and resell manure at higher prices. Not necessarily to gain CCs to but mostly to be able to delete my offers and use that "for sale" manure on my crops at a lower price. ;)

Perhaps a better compromise would be a "safety system" pop-up warning for those players who go to buy 600 manure and can only hold 100, 200, or 300 in their manure pile. Especially now that manure prices are so different from when the game first started! When I first started playing four years ago, manure was only good for covering your crops to prevent "rain damage" that turned them into weeds. So it sold for around 0.13 CC each... so very different from the 148-172 CCs each it is currently selling for in my market... o_O

I think you will find that the 600 unit lots are not meant for sale, but as a sort of storage. I do it myself when i have excess manure. Sell it at the highest possible prices so that when I run out in events I can get it back. I'f the prices goes up in the meantime and it sells, I've made a little profit.

I don't think this game is good for any but premium players that are up near the 100 level or more, period. I am premium but I can't seem to find a way to sell much at all and then there's people who bring the prices down so far it is ridiculous! I can't hardly turn a profit! What's the use trying to do anything if I can't sell? I don't see how people can sell manure at 600 anyway. What are you? Rich beyond compare or what? What's going on? How do folks get breeders for instance at these exorbitant prices? Huh? I know I can il-afford it! I am thinking of quitting this game as it seems to be geared only for those who are rich and have money to throw away to the game owners. These events are for profiteering. That'as all. I am not going to spend my money that I need to eat with and stuff on this game any more. I cannot do that. It's a sad affair.
