I am trying my hand at this - hope the math is correct - fingers crossed BBD will start Friday.

Just the basics to complete all levels
25 White-fronted geese
21 Greylag geese
7 Barnacle geese
3 Canada geese

Assuming that it takes
4 Geese to make 1 White-Fronted Geese
4 White-Fronted Geese to make 1 Greylag Geese
4 Greylag Geese to make 1 Barnacle Geese
4 Barnacle Geese to make 1 Canada Geese

Amounts needed with no skips
25 White-fronted geese
(need to breed = 100 Geese / 50 power feed)
21 Greylag geese
(need to breed = 336 Geese to get = 84 White-Fronted to breed the Greylags / 200 power feed)
7 Barnacle geese
(need to breed = 448 Geese to get = 112 White-Fronted to get = 28 Greylag to breed the Barnacles / 294 power feed)
3 Canada geese
(need to breed = 768 geese to get = 192 White-Fronted Geese to get = 48 Greylag Geese to get = 12 Barnacle Geese to breed the Canadas / 510 power feed)

With no skips amounts of each animal needed to breed up
1652 Geese
388 White-Fronted Geese
76 Greylag Geese

My first try at this let me know of any errors and I will correct
I thought I was good with a little over 200 geese in the barn
I knew I might need some power feed but with only 150 I can only complete 75 breeding.

Have no fear, Austg. Skips will be aplenty - it is rare to get none. Hopefully BB weekend will come along as usual and help us all.

I normally try to have about *sticks finger in the air* 300 of the basic animal and the same for PF. I have only missed on one occasion that I can remember, I think it was lack of PF that did it. I said I try to have, I didn't say I always have 300 PF - like now for instance, I am sadly very short of PF due to the new mill action of only letting us use the milled produce when the total amount is milled!

My strategy as usual is to only breed when BB starts and only breed basic animals. I will only breed higher animals if absolutely necessary, for instance, if the skips are really poor!

I will also check out the prices of the breeding animals and see if it is worthwhile to sell lower animals to get the higher ones (to save PF). It all depends which is the most cost efficient.

Last time with the Cuckoos BBD started the same day as the event. I'm waiting patiently to see if this happens again.

I too like to breed the basic animals...and pray the skips are good I have plenty of geese thanks to the fishing event. My strategy is to get this one finished and get back to my regular breeding quests I'm still working on

 

I've got over 1000 geese on both farms, so I'm good to go there. My biggest problem is going to be time; we start a 6 day weekend tomorrow (husband's work schedule is changing from days to nights, yay!, and his days off are changing, so 6 days off to adjust new schedule), and I won't have much online time. BB days usually start on Fridays, so I'll keep growing geese until then, or until I run out of goose feed, whichever comes first . Not stopping milling PF . Thankfully with pink jelly, pheremones, and cloud row, breeding goes quickly, so probably should be able to complete the quest and get the goodies before the weekend ends, doubtful I'll do any extra breeding this time around. Really glad for the 3 XXL toolboxes I won fishing, hopefully they'll give me some luggage tags. Good luck everyone, and have fun!

I don't see any benefits to complete L4 Gold/Diamond (8 Greylag Geese) VS extra rewards (26000 EP, 13100 CC, 2 XL Toolbox, 25 Power-feed, 1 Sticker Event, 5 Star). But if I have extra Greylag Geese during BBD event, I'm going to complete L4 Gold/Diamond. No need to bother!

 

I have over 1300 geese and I think plenty PF.

The Goose Breeding Event Starts Tomorrow which is Wednesday. But Baby Boom Always Starts on a Friday, plus is Always Runs for about 48 Hours. Meaning it will run all Weekend.

I Wont Start Goose Breeding until BBD Starts. As it helps to have Better Skips and Reward you will Additional Breeding Animals which makes a Saving in Power Feeds. Plus you will get some Goose Back too. I Got Just over 4000 Geese will Sell about 3000 of them keep 1000 or so For Geese Breeding.

Will Start Breeding on Based Geese to see the Breeding Skips goes. Once Breeding Geese appears in the Markets will snap them up to Boost My Breeding get Barncale or Canada Geese to Help Complete This Quest. Before these Breeding Geese starts to go up in Price. This will make a saving on Power Feeds.

For Those of you can get Back 60 Power Feeds from Air Show event, need to complete Level 1 silver/gold/diamond, Level 2 and Level 3 Silver, Level 4 Silver/gold/diamond .....

For Cloud Row and Cloud Row Items Needs to do Level 3 Gold/Diamond, Level 5 Silver/Gold/Diamond and Level 6 Silver/Gold/Diamond too

I too will be waiting patiently in the hope of a BBDay and if it comes I'll be all in.

 

Not sure if I even want to try. I have over 1000 pf and several hundred geese. After the last 2 events, I put trees up with a few stray fields and not even doing much. I think I have lost all interest in the game right now.

Sometimes it's best to take a break once in a while.
It sounds like you have all the tools to do a wonderful job with Goose Breeding... depending/waiting on a BBD.

sunshine - I agree with Banjoman. I can understand your frustration with the game but hope after a break you will find joy in your farm again.

 

Yeah, I do wounder why they even start the events before BBD, they can't make that much from PF sales from newbies.
I am hoping I got this right, geese on main land, I am low on chickens, as I always have them stalls out must have money makers, but this time I got trees up, so no extra money coming in.... I so feel this is gonna hurt me.

 

sunshineaz - I too have had moments where my enthusiasm for this game has waned. When The Coral Reef was put off...and then put off again....and now I'm not even going to look forward to it anymore..(or save any GB's)..............I felt like quitting. But I would miss my good friends and now there are new things like fishing game...new breeding animals, that keep my interest. As other wise friends have said....take a well deserved break...and then come back and see how you feel.

Why oh Why does event start on Wed. and is there a BBD beginning on Friday? What is the reason for this??? Does BP just want to torture us and make us wait 2 whole days???

 

For the first 2 days of goose breeding I'm going to build up my crop stocks. Soon as it's BBD I will fill my main field with breeding pens and get stuck in to the quest. Hopefully I will complete it quite quickly. Good luck everyone.

 

My plan for this event is to open the small pile of tool boxes I have from previous events in the hope of gaining the luggage tags early. I will time harvesting tomorrow with the CR that helps with tool drops. I also have a few quests lined up and ready to reward tool boxes. Anyone have other ideas on how to increase luggage tag drops? Could the giftable toolbox have this occasionally?

Well I managed to get a few toolboxes from gone fishing event so I may get some luggage tags there and I have enough PF to do the event but the thought of making a dent in soup n friends may be too tempting...

I have just over 600 Geese at the moment, i used higher stables for the fishing event to increase drop chances, but will run my stables until baby boom day.... this should give me more than enough to complete the event..... i hope. I have plenty of power feed, but am low on pheromones (which I always seem to be low on), I love to use at least one per breeding pen! I just love BBD and get excited about the results. I wonder, is it worth opening the Goose Rune in the Wisdom Tree, and does this decrease breeding time and/or stable time? I just am not sure of the benefits and whether or not it is worth the required stars to open. I think there are two different runes for Geese and would like some advice as to which one would bear the most benefits. Please if anyone has any insight on this, I would appreciate it. The Tree of Wisdom always perplexes me as to the benefit of opening a rune. I normally wait to be advised..... from helpful friends.

I love that there is no event crop for this, perhaps our challenge will be the luggage tags.

I wonder if luggage tags will come easily.... I'm hoping they do when i activate my cloud row that increases drop chances.

Hi Molly The FAQ tells you exactly what the runes give, there is nothing more to it, no reduction in breeding/stable time. If you have other runes you want to open I would wait with these, you can always profit from them later
