Strategy: Cat & Dog Days

could be something as simpl as they did cats first, spent all extra cat toys, then did the dog - didn't throw so many toys in. After the OA , threw more dog toys in, but waiting until BBD to breed more cats.

Yes I cant do anything till next baby boom.... not breeding till then... otherwise this event isn't getting any of my animals....lol I got the rune unlock yes but not getting much from it... so saving my PF till I think it starts tommrow I am hopin i can ethier make coins to buy the cats and dogs. or make the animals myself... so far not looking good on my end..

 

i would like to thank everyone who generously donated to the global steps. Really helps low level farmers or limited PF farmers like me

Anyway I'm done with personal levels for Dogs. Just waiting for the next baby boom to start with cats.

 

I see that with the fix, we are back to barely having the cloud rows unlocked. Never fear. Tomorrow's baby boom will bring lots more global donations. I am sure we are all milling power feed as fast as we can so we can breed more fur-bearin' critters.

They will be lucky ...Have used all my dogs and cats ...have been buying dogs at the market to finish the dog side ...have used enough things on this event already...I don't intend to put anymore into it..Have put 54 teasers into the cat side..haven't got any toy bones to give
If i don't get the cloud row am not that bothered ...would sooner keep what i have left ....I don't intend to give this event anymore of my farm OR my time
My mills making dog food for the dogs i have left and it's not that many...but i can build them up from these

 

Nellie, as far as I have understood it, you only need to donate once to the global in order to receive the cloud row. The required amount is for all the farmers accumulated. It has to be a lot, so that every player can have an opportunity to participate and feel they have contributed.

 

Well I have donated once ..54 teasers lol...hope that is enough.. because I haven't got 1,171,800 of anything now

You don't need to donate to the global portion at all.
The FAQ says, "To be eligible for the step 1 Global reward if reached, you need to complete steps 1 - 5 of the Individual progress bar. To be eligible for the Step 2 Global reward if reached, you need to have finished steps 1 - 8 of the Individual progress bar for the chosen animal."

That means you only have to complete the individual sections and if globally we reach the target, we get the global prizes.

 

All done on this farm. Thanks to the grape vine I only had to do the required 50 breedings of each and used basic animals to fill the rest. Threw a couple of cats and some chew toys at the global since I bred a few extra dogs for the breeding FSQ, but don't think I'll be breeding again after no skips from those breedings.

 

Does anyone know how the global donation is going? I have done everything and waiting for the cloud rows but dont have much more to donate!

We've unlocked both cloud rows but haven't moved much beyond that. Donations for cats and dogs seem to be equal now.

What, if we are not getting the second reward for each animal?

For me, it shows, that there are definitely not enough players interested in the event, as with their own personal donation they are filling the global one as well.
Which means, not even 100,000 players participated (if each would only do one side) ... out of 54 mio registered users?

Clonahan, I think that a lot of us donated any extra 'toys' we had. I know that's all I donated - it was still a lot as I did extra breedings of dogs and cats to get some higher value animals for the last two event levels. So I think it really is going to depend on the push we get from this second, much longer, baby boom days. I know I'll be breeding more cats and dogs. I've been saving them up anyway for breeding during BBD because I want to finish my breeding quests for them. So I will at least donate the toys I get from further breedings.

No, I don't think it means that at all. It's just as adjustment for the amount of EP we receive when we give a global donation.

Edited to add: I've been donating the toys since the bbd started, so we can still donate those.

Alright... Lets think about the endgame for this event with my pessimistic view. ....and I've completed the individual progress for this event..

30 Billion... That global donation goal is beyond an optimistic possibility to reach, set by BP.. Even with our top 10 Farmerama players (remember those recent events?) we would need them to complete their involvement 10X's more in their contributions and with the rest of us, about 1 billion ( and thats being generously optimistic) to complete the global donation.. And only IF they individually decide to attempt global donation.

I would like to have those global rewards but at what cost... I've already used 2k PF, donated most of my cat and dog breeding inventory, with Teaser and Bone item and still, only at 4.75 million total donation for each global donation. The cat and dog global rewards aren't that great for the amount exchange we have to donate just to receive them.. Each "global reward" only gives 7920 EP/TEP @ every 22 hrs.. huh, that's it?!?!

So I could donate everything I have and then some, including any money I would opt to use on XL PF packs and still not get the Global Rewards. ...and lets not forget everything else we would have to obtain just to further our "global advancement".. Animal feed, Cat and dog breeding's, pheromones, crafted items, etc etc etc so on and so forth....

I enjoy these events and participate in everyone.. but some.... What the @#%& !!

 

Just curious as to how many Farmers, are still donating to the Global Part.
How many think we will actually make it to unlocking 2ed part of the Global Event on both sides?

Edited to add : both individual sides are done , plus i have added 442 cat teasers and 442 toy bones towards the Global Rewards.

I am still donating. I feel that, with 86.1 hours to go and the Global Donations slider about 60-65% of the way along, that we can make it !! (the .1 might be critical !)
