Strategy for Kitty Chaos

Status update: I have entertained 90 kitties and next harvest will see enough crops to mill the last 10 to complete the event. Then on to working on Top 1000. I am pleased to see my friends already on the leader board and have felt all kinds of roller coaster emotions today about trailing. This is the fastest I have ever completed an event so part of me is proud of this but still want to continue on. I have tried to thank each of you individually that have sent drops and just want to say 'Thank you' for the help and support you have shown during this event. Good luck to those still working on the event

 

Wish the drops for osier were better - 4 fields yielding only 36 with buffs and LL (27%).

I will start feeding 25 kitty cats and am milling toys for 18 more. Hoping for great gifts!

I would also like to say a big thanks to all who have sent drops so far - you're stars! Event finished and into the top 1000 I go. Congrats to everyone else already there. Planting a mix of refined carnations, ginger and comfort fields with osier overnight to maintain crops and get some drops. I also started moving my Howie around, usually he stays in one field, but thought I'd give it a go.

 

I have successfully entertained 56 kitties, but am now out of drops. Got home much later than I expected, so there's no time to plant carnations but I can still plant roses overnight and hope for drops. Thanks to those who have helped; I'm returning the favours as fast as I can!

I'm having a ball (LOL pun intended) with this event! I just wish the osier didn't take so long too grow. I've reverted to all 1x1's now...as I've run out of SG...and the CR's benefiting SG have expired as well. I've pulled everything besides pets and magic trees. So every 4:48 minutes harvest & replant.
One thing I'm having fun with.......... is seeing all the different user names in the Top 1000 list. Some people have been so clever(unlike me) coming up with very creative or hysterical names for their farms! I'm also thrilled to see some of my friends joining the list!! Go U.S. forum!!!!

I appreciate the gigantic generosity of my neighbors & friends gifting me balls of yarn!!! Especially Mr. Broke....and his multitude of farms!!! You all are the Best!!!

 

Yes Brokeham ....The Names some are hard to remember or even spell it right. I now have Entered into Top 1000 with i Ball of Yard so i now have reached that milestone lol

I did do a Refinement of Roses using 4 Howie Donuts but only got 36 Balls of Yarn so Instead I Try do some Refinements of Organic Cotton instead to see i get better Drops of Balls of Yarn.

When Farmers have Completed Entertaining 100 Kitties but not going for Top 1000 can give support or even send Balls of Yarn to Help Mill Cat Teaser. Give Priority to SOS Kitty Chaos Event Drop/Ball of String First Any Spare Balls of Yarn goes to....those from English Forum Hoping to Complete Top 1000

I am Hoping I can get decent amount of Balls of Yarn From Drops as the Moment I can Reap more Osier Than I can with Balls of Yarn so going to need to make up the Shortfall of Balls of Yarn. I am going to Reap as Many Osier as I can. I am not planted any Trees or Stables or Production Pens still keeping 1x1 on my farm to grow as many Osier as I can.

I did get nice prizes from First 100 Cat Teasers as Now on my way to make the Next 100 Cat Teasers as All These Prizes do help my farm

Yes Broke has many Farms helping with Balls of Yarn, Bless Broke for Helping us out It Looks like Top 500 are Serious Farmers but at the moment is seems Bottom Half of Top 1000 do not have that many Happy Kitties as we still not reached 1000 Marker Yet. Therefore there is slim chance to complete into Top 1000 without too much Depletion of Supergrow, Manure, BB or CC or RL Money

 

Sorry CaliChrome, I have a second opinion on that. I think my drop rate was better when my trophies were on field. Since the time I have donated them to the Living Legend rune, it is down a bit I have even upgraded them to 26% before this event but not happy with the drop rate

Efficient Gifting (Specifically Drop Items and Garden Items)​

A single free gift may be given to five or seven friends each day (depending if tree rune has been unlocked). A limit of 20 free gifts may be received each day before ones gift box is full.

The individual we are sending a gift to must be listed as a friend. If no igm is listed as sent or received then write one and send it to the individual you wish to be listed as a friend. Go to your outbox and the message will appear. Simply check the box next to the message and at the bottom of the picture simply check the box "Add as friend." At that point one is free to send as discussed below:

SITUATION 1 I have free gifts to give and friend I wish to give to can receive (their gift box is NOT full)

Simply give the gift. These gifts DO NOT come out of our inventory. We are really giving to an individual what BP has allowed us to give.

SITUATION 2 I have free gifts to give and friend has received all their daily gifts (their gift box IS full)

No free gift my be given to the friend but a gift is possible to give (with BBs explain below)

-------- The following situations involve gift-giving using BBs -----
(Even if one has given a free gift, efficiency in use of BBs is obtained by WAITING until the other party's gift box is full. One may give anyway but one is then paying BBs to use up a free gift space. Doing this is not efficiently using ones BBs. In other words, if one does not wait then one is taking away the ability for someone else to give a free gift and use a free gift slot.)

SITUATION 3 I have available free gifts and want to send to someone whose gift box is full

No free gift or gift using BBs may be sent.
One must first give all free gifts available to be sent (all five or all seven). ONLY then is one free to send an unlimited number of gifts (costing 2 BBs each) to a friend.

SITUATION 4 I have given all my free gifts and my friend's gift box is full.

One may give and the friend may receive as many gifts as one has BBs to spend.

Efficient Gifting (Artisan Products)​

Artisan products must be gifted through ones barn. The conditions:

- The person gifting must have an available artisan product to gift
- The person gifting MUST have an available free gift
- The person receiving must not have received all of their daily gifts

There is NO BB USE PROVISION for an additional gift of an artisan product.

One may give an artisan product and a drop item.
- The artisan product gift must be made to an individual BEFORE using all five or seven of ones daily gifts.
- AFTER one has given all five or seven of ones daily gifts, ONLY THEN may one use BBs to gift additional drop and garden items.

**** The artisan product gifted DOES reduce ones inventory of that item *****

But giving of Artisan Village produce will deduct from your inventory.....

Please do not send me extra balls of yarn, I may have made the top 1000 play, I am not trying, it was pure dumb luck.
I am still growing event plant on 2 small fields, my main field is full of chickens and the other big field is growing plants I need for the barn.
Please send all balls of extra yarn you thought so sweetly to send me to Meba and do a cheer as that name is going for the top 1000.

Whoo hoo! Congrats to all those making the Top 1k! That is astonishing!!!

I am feeling better about completing 100 and getting the cloud row. I only need to entertain 27 more kitties. Osier still growing nearly everywhere, except for where I have some valuable trees/stables. I have two chestnut trees and every harvest gives me 1 ball of yarn!

 

Congrats who've all done so well already!! You have a much better plan than I. I've done 76 kitty gifts so far. I can't control the top 1k screen well so I have no idea who among my friends is doing how well there. The "you and your friends" list is empty but I've read that more than 1 neighbor of mine is up there somewhere so I don't know why I can't see them. Oh well. Congrats to everyone anyway!!!

 

So delighted to see so many in the running for the Top 1000! Got in my gifts early this morning so I didn't get the dreaded message that friends had a full gift box.

Yesterday got informed at work that internet upgrade will take us off system for several hours today. Did a quick change of strategy and planted osier twice last night and my "overnight crops" early this morning! (Made sure I was awake before planting or posting!)

I'm nearly finished with the 100 cats and am enjoying the prizes (especially my new sorb tree)!

Others than me are fighting this competition - and we should help them all. I try to help the best I can myself - one hasn't got drops from me yet cause she already had enough every time I try- Brookeham I keep trying

Most of my neighbors are suffering getting almost no gifts from me these days. I will make it up to you when this is over - hope you understand my priorities...
