Strategy: The Mysterious Maze

I think all my farms will be sitting this event out as I need to take the time to build up my butterflies and chameleons good luck to everyone going for it

Althou the CR will be a decent addition I think my main goal will be the pick-me-up goodies and items in the Event Shop and the upgrades given out as rewards. Did notice the amount of max purchases for each item in the shop and so I think the Star Coins will rain down upon us. Will prepare for a shopping spree.

I just tried my freebie and yeeak I just can not figure it out. I have been at this for 10 minutes this game is not for me. All the other events have been treats but this one is in MHO is a trick. Good luck everyone.


I click on a straight piece and then there is a corner stick to my curser, click on a tee and there is a different piece stick to me. it is now 8:33am OK it's now 8:43 and I have the worse headache but somehow I have managed to get out of the maze. I DONE!!!! Have fun farmers

 

inital harvest for my preparation (8 field) : 394 lantern
Don't know it is good or bad as It had included many buff like pet & CR
Also the gift of coffin calendar.

Let see how much I get for 1 whole day 24hr !

 

My initial drops from all 8 lands gave me 399 lanterns, plus 4 from neighbors =403!

Thanks both of you. I thought drops came only from 3 mainland fields. And then I saw the letter 8 & checked the FAQ and found that it indeed comes from 3 baha land. While harvesting one by one, suddenly it struck my mind 3+3 is 6 !! How come 8 ? So once again went to FAQ and found out MM play fields also give you drops. What a relief !

I got 308 drops, I didn't prepare any of my fields for drops. They were with animals required for the breeding event to come. Even MM fields were with low time crops. But 308 is good drop rate I think. Going to play the first mini game. Will let you know after playing it.

What ! Great ! edit - I went through the shop. Really its as you said. See the EPs ?

 

The gift from the coffin calendar was an EP buff, that will not help with drops. Only buffs where the description specifies event drops or all drops will increase the drop rate. Buffs increasing EP or harvest, like CAC, have no effect on drops.

Bat Mail give 10 lantern every 15 hr and can harvest 5 time

I got 344 drops plus 2 from neighbours - but I didn't really put much effort into preparing, especially on MM! Too busy with those FSQs!
Tut tut One-Two!
But I missed Bat Mail giving out those Lanterns so tut tut Illy!

I must admit to being completely baffled at first by the game - despite reading the instructions about ten times! I tested out my freebies on my non-participating farms and by the time I got to this one, I had some sort of vague idea! I'm very glad it tells you how many prizes are left to search for - I would have been there all night!

No probs, One-Two, we all miss a little from time to time (and in my case, most of the time lol!).

I am on my third lot of event crops then I think I will call it a day - considering planting event crops overnight ... might see how it goes and worry about drops later.

 

I'll give it a shot for those coins. Thanks illy for your grey matter contribution above the call of duty.
I'm going to play that one test game as soon as I wake up.

For anyone who wants to know how to play the mini game.

What you have to aim at ?
In the below picture, you will see an object around which there is a glowing white light. Its the treasure which you have to collect. You have to create a way from the big triangle arrow entry (which is at the left bottom) to treasure (around which there is a glowing white light). You have to place the pumpkin scarecrow on the treasure and click to collect it. And after collecting your treasure, you have to find a way out (which is in the uppermost right end) from the spot of the treasure . There will be a white glow at the last box.





These are the treasures icons.



How to create a way from the entry triangle to the treasure?

Flashing 8 small yellow arrow marks (2 on each side of the maze) are the places where you can insert the puzzle pieces. Just move you cursor over to the arrow mark. And don't click immediately. See if its in correct position. If not, you rotate it, click on the arrow. Only when you have moved the cursor to the yellow arrow mark you will see the rotaion icon. And after rotating it, now you click the piece. It will be inserted in that box next to the flashing arrow. Like wise start inserting pieces to make a way to the flahing white treasure icon. Once you are in the white treasure click the pumpkin scarecrow icon on it. You have gathered the treasure. Now you have to exit. So create a way for it and exit.

Note there are only 3 types of pieces =

If you want to change the piece, click on the scarecrow pumpkin to get the next piece or in any place in the highlighted boxes. You can also click the box which is nearer to the treasure. It will change the piece and also it will be easy to create the path.

Each minigame requires you to find a particular number of treasures. It will be indicated in the top most left hand corner. For the 2nd treasure create a way from the1st treasure to the next treasure. From it to the exit. IF its 3 from 2nd to 3rd and then to exit. So on.... Most important is that if you finish a game, it will give you 25 star coins, irrespective of the number of tries or time taken.

Some more tips to play the game easily.

1. As I said there are only 3 types of pieces = 1. 2. 3.
Always try to choose the first type of tiles (3 branched one )to fit in because it can coonect to 3 adjoining tiles. If not possible, the straight one they are easy to manipluate according to your wish and can connect in opposite directions.

2. How to choose your next tile ?
When you insert a tile in a row or column, the last tile of that column or row (that is which is in the opposite end) will be your next tile. As it is ejected from the row or column.

3. Path should be between the pumpkin Scarecrow & the highlighted treasure. Once you place your tile, all connected routes will lighten up and unconnected routes will be darkened. Now you will have a pumpkin scarecrow in your hand. You can place this in any of the lightened tiles. So place it in the spot which is near to the highlighted treasure. So that the you can create a short route. Also you can jump over the part which is unconnected and put it in the highlighted path of the treasure. Then you will have tile in your hand, if you already have a tile in your hand and your scarecrow is already connected to the treasure, place the tile in such a way it is unobstructive to the path between scarecrow & treasure.

4. While placing a tile which you wan to discard, put it in a row or colum which is not in the way of your route.

5. You can move not only the pumpkin scarecrow but also the highlighted treasure. So sometimes which ever is easy do it. 'If the mountain will not come to Muhammad, then Muhammad must go to the mountain'.

6. You can eject the highlighted treasure tile or the pumpkin scarecrow tile out of the board by inserting tiles after tile in the row or column and then put the ejected scarecrow or treasure in the place you want it to be. Sometime in the process you automatically get connected even before the tiles are ejected and finish it.

As said before always try to insert tile 1, that is 3 branched tile. If both scarecrow & the treasure are in the highlighted tiles (they will also glow), it means you can claim the treasure.

I try and finally got to the exit and end game. Still cannot get clear idea how it play...
Maybe it is midnight time on my timezone..With tired brain....
