Strategy: Viking Saga V3

All deco items in the Viking Shop are from old events, and none of them go on the new Viking Saga 2017 cloud row.

Here are the givers ranked from best to worst in terms of EP/TEP, and the events they came from:

There was no cloud row for the first 4 but the last 3 belong to the Picture Perfect cloud row.

The only time I can remember Bigpoint bringing back old cloud rows for players who missed out was during the Retro Cloud Row Sale, and they made it so that we couldn't purchase the cloud row and items separately.

 

My Lucky Lanterns shows that it gives 4000 ep every 12 hrs...grrrreat to have! Definitely worth it.
(May be a silly question, but could my buffs be making the difference? The others also show more, too...)

Thanks zerodegrees. I still have to redeem miscellaneous some miscellaneous prizes and I guess I will go for one or two classic prizes. Your mathematical & statistic skills & hard work makes me envious. But in good aspect.

I added a few more columns to my table to make things a bit clearer.

It's difficult to compare items of different sizes with different times, so what I was trying to do was show how many EP/TEP each item would give if they were all the same size (1x1) and had the same time (12 hours).

For Lucky Lanterns, I divided 4000 EP/TEP by 4 because a 2x2 giver takes up 4 1x1 plots.

For Shades of Cyan, I divided 1600 EP/TEP by 2 because at 24 hours, it's twice the duration of the Winter is Coming givers (12 hours).

Hope that makes sense. It's hard for me to translate math into words. And thank you for the positive feedback! Knowing my work is appreciated and that it's helping others is the best reward.

I have to play 11 mini-games in this farm. Somewhat in safe position. Therefore started playing in my other farms too. Doing 3rd round of planting in second farm and in others just now put the first 10 event seeds. I love the axe throwing mini-game.

if r10 (rune no.10) gives 1 & 1/2 green - then try r9 next. It worked out for me twice.

 

Have got all the trees and the stables ... Not getting any of the classic ...because i have these already on my fields and they would only just be put in my barn never to be put on a field ...My fields are full already ...And have 11 pages of Decorations in my inventory

 

It is better to get super grows from the rewards because it is said that a near future event might need lots of super grows.

 

Thank you Zero for the list of deco, I have got them all. Who would have thought So I'll just give those a miss. For the rest I did a quick calculation in my head (= doomed to be errors). The rest need 1895kr (Viking coins), and if I do well (ca 50 on each hit) I need around 40 (38 ) throws. And whatdidyaknow, that is what's needed to complete the event. Whop whop, guess what I'm aiming for. I also only need the last sticker, the pure luck one.

So far I've averaged 48 coins per throw. Normally I end up with a little bit extra drop, so I'm confident this is doable. It's the lutefisk with the swedish ikea meatballs-whatever that glued our Titanic together, it seems to do the trick, Nellie. We should try and save some for next throw & grow. It's not fit for consumption anyway.

 

I just love Ingrid!!! Done 20 throws and I'm hooked No bulls eye in 1. throw yet, but I'm keeping fingers crossed! Good luck everybody and big thanks to zerodegrees and 12ss12 for all your hard work

 

About 5 hours ago I finished game #35 and I got the CR up and running. No luck with the the wonder stables or trees, except for a single Persian Silk tree and no luck on hitting bulls eye on the first throw. I kept shopping the Viking way and got all I wanted.
Althou I've reached my goal for this event I'll keep growing Gold Root, the event plant, as it provides good EP:

Golden Root (8hrs) - 80 EP
Asparagus (8hrs) - 48 EP
Aubretia (8hrs) - 53.2 EP

Ofc., the drops keep falling too so I might do a few more axe throwing just for fun and add a couple of not-so-needed items to the barn.

As long as Ingrid doesn't sing, we swing that axe with a smile on our face!

 

I have played 30 games and got all the miscellaneous stuff I wanted - apart from the party spins. May go for that or one of the EP items that I noticed were requested quite a lot in the last G&T. It all depends how many coins I end up with. I seem to be doing pretty well with Ms Ingrid - famous last words as usual.

I am quietly confident that I will complete at least 35 games if not 40 (maybe more, who knows?).

My other two farms are getting quite a few gifts from some very kind friends/buddies and neighbours of this farm. Please, save your gifts, these two farms will not be doing any growing/drop item type events in the foreseeable future. Too much like hard work. Please don't think me ungrateful, I am very happy that so many of you are so thoughtful. Thank you.

 

I finished 36 mini games. Activated and harvested the cloud row. Only 4 to get the the diamond Ingrid.

I have redeemed all the miscellaneous prizes except stars & pinkie pie. Not yet redeemed any of the classics. Is the stars worth getting for such a lot of coins ?

 

Ahhhh, thank you, zerodegrees! That makes perfect sense, and you went to a lot more trouble to break it down, too. Yes, your posts - and all others, too - are always appreciated for all the hard work and thoughtfulness that goes into them!!

 

I have played 8 games and seem to be leaning more towards the 40 coins. Can't get the right rune. I know the last time I wrote down which ones usually went in the same category.....hmmm...wonder if I have that paper floating around somewhere? Good luck everyone and it sure sounds like everyone is having fun Crazy me kinda misses Ingrid singing though

I have played the 40 games, got all the Bullseyes, PF's, trees and stables. Still have 1273 coins left and 2 more broths in the mill. I'm leaning towards "Lucky Lanterns" but not sure what else. Congrats to all who have achieved their goals Still have a little over a day left to get more goodies!!

 

Played 40 Ingrid Mini Games. As it always fun to see if i can hit the Bullseye. But not always. But most of the time

I did get an Bullseye on 1st attempt in one of my early mini games but not able to get Bulleye on first three attempts to get the Ingrid Giver. Judge by on how many attempts to get Bullseye

I will Continue to until i get the Final Giver. I have brought most miscellaneous prizes no need for Stars or GB nor Pinkie Pie Pie. As you can buy these in the markets so watch out

I have 950 Star Coins surplus plus can do more mini games until the end of this event. So if i aim to get two classic givers, which i already got from previous event will Trade them at Barter Gift Event

I am waiting for outcome of my Trees and Stables that i have placed on my fields so fingers crossed

 

I played 41 games. Got all. kibsnfebs, you are welcome. I got an weasel stall, Sandalwood tree & an icefir tree, 2 XXL Eucalyptus Trees. Happy.

Someone talking about singing Ingrid ? I am always for any Ingrid mini-game.

 

I have played 38 games, will do another two then stop. I exchanged coins for the Shades of Cyan ... don't think I will get enough for the Party Spins but may just use up the coins on Stars. Don't really need them, have over 1,000 in hand - but you never know when they might come in handy.

Oh, nearly forgot. Seemed I had all the stickers except the third one for ages and on one of my last tries, I got it! Wahoo! Colour me sticky!

Thoroughly enjoyed this event. Not too quick and easy but lots of different stages. Drops were pretty good too.
