Summer Fishing Bonanza

Difficulty: Easy - Hard​

You need to collect Lures from the associated events to play the mini-game:

• • Dance in the Wind Quests
  • The Great Chase III
  • The Heat is on
  • The Shipside Bazaar

At the start of the event, all players will receive:
1 free Normal Lure,
The base Fishy Fountain I deco item which rewards 1 x Crate O' Lures S.
A total of 100 games are required to earn all this editions givers and cloudrows.

You can get more Lures:

• From the Fishy Fountain deco item.
• From the two Crate O' Lures in the Shopping Centre. (see below).
• You can get some in the event baskets.
• You can win them in the associated events

Anyone spotted how long the Fishy Fountain takes to produce the Crate O' Lures S?

I'm in for as far as I can go but I won't be shelling out for any baskets or lures - just what comes from playing the game as normal!

With all these new events.......I'm a bit overwhelmed right now.

 

Thank you Nala and SahraB. I'm in because I like this event, but it is overwhelming this time. Will see how far I can go...but with my schedule I don't think I can finish...or even come close. It will be fun to give it a try, and see what happens. These things sometimes become easier when we actually play them. Good Luck everyone...have fun.

 

We have to do all the events to be able to get very far with this event. oh yay. And there's more coming this weekend. This is supposed to be FUN...not feel like a job. I'm a bit overwhelmed with RL at the moment, so I'm doing what I can and it's going to be good enough.

 

This used to be one of my favorites.

Unfortunately, this edition has made it so difficult to acquire Lures - UNLESS you spend BBs, buy baskets, or GLUE yourself to 4+ more events over each weekend, PLUS any gaming during the week!! (Very Effective in putting the 'kibosh' on any actual plans one might have or want to make.)
So, sadly, I'll just play when I'm here....and IF I have a lure or two -(for some unknown reason).
I'm so verrrrry disappointed in how they have changed this event for the worse. (Money-grubbers comes to mind...)

 

I agree with farmlily3 100%. They ruined what was one of my very favorite events. Hopefully this isn't a trend.

There's an old saying: If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

I'd hate to see them mess up the axe throwing event and the dice game, for two examples. I enjoy those two a lot.
Oh well, one is not required to stay here and farm, there are other games.

 

It is just sooo slow to get anywhere! I agree that the new format is not an improvement.

I never thought I would say it but I would prefer to grow crops, collect drops and mill lures at my own pace - then I can decide how much I would do. Now I am reliant on doing other events.
Or, I could buy some lures! Right! That's not going to happen!
By the way, anyone having any luck with the fishing? I haven't caught one Merlin yet!

got 2 octopus but can't see what I've won. Where can you see the prize ? Do you need to do something to get the prize ?

 

pferdepferdefarm: You should have had a pop-up to tell you that you have won an instant prize or you can check the tab bar at the bottom of your screen which may show you what you won too.

For the main prizes you can look at the left hand side and see the prize list and how far you have got. If you win Star Coins, go the right side and at the bottom you will see the Angling Shop where you can spend your Star Coins.

@illy1996 I caught a marlin with my 2nd lure (!!!), but then 1 each of blowfish, parrotfish, lobster. I very much miss being able to choose what type of lure I mill. I would never choose the basic lure because with the basic lure, the lobster & parrotfish catch are practically a waste of a lure because I have to catch 3-4 more of them 1 lure at a time.

 

I just luv selling poop in lots of one.

There are some true-to-the-heart junkers out there.

I'm sure this event is hard-on-the-patience junking for some junkers.

 

Better bring lots of snacks. This is like going fishing and forgetting to bring bait.

 

Fishing bonanza... Hmmm... bait only Nothing and nofish, zip anything..

Picture the BP 'wreck-the-fishing-meeting'.
Scene. A Transylvanian sinister multi-storeyed lodge on a rainy moon-less night with the screeching of bats in the air. The team emerge from their near vertical coffins and their high upturned cloaks scream vampire! They shuffle toward the long tabled meeting room uttering the password 'Muhahaha'
"What fun can we extrude from the game today?" asks the board chair-person...
"Any progress on how we can only give half a play-field to grow crops on?.
I know, give them None at All !!! And no choice of lures! mahahaha!!"

Just because I'm bored! We are all excited, have waited all week to go on this fishing trip. Go to grocery store buy drinks and lots of food because at least 6 teenagers are going to jump in the boat if they know we are going to the camp for the weekend. We load the boat with fishing rods, ice chests, extra clothes and teenagers with all their belongings. We drive an hour to get to the boat launch. Launch the boat and we are finally on our way. Ride about 45 minutes and we are finally at the camp. Tie the boat, unload all extras including teenagers because they rather stay and play their boomboxes so loud it rocks all the camps on the bayou and eat. Untie the boat, breathe a sigh of relief. We ride for another 30 minutes to our favorite spot, anchor the boat,grab our lines and find altho they charged us the price of lobsters they only gave us two little shrimp. That is how this fishing game is designed.. pull up the anchor ride another 90 minutes to get two more little shrimp.
Top part of this story is true. We always had bait and a castnet and a trawl net. We are going to have fried fish and taters for supper and boiled shrimp and crabs tomorrow. A special memory is one Mothers day hubby brought me a water lily in a beer bottle.

 

I placed the fishy fountain giver on the farm just now. Completely forgot to do it.

I have a doubt. Where do I find this crate of lootables which we get from fishing ? I played several mini games but no Star coins ?
