I am so glad to know that I am not the only one that thinks that the way they are running this event is an Epic Fail.
It was much more fun the normal way!!!!

 

I've been playing as much as I could, even though my heart isn't in it with these changes. I have only gotten the coins for angling shop one time.
Very disappointed.
I will not even attempt this next time. If I'm still here.

 

I hate the new way the fishing event is now. Before we could grow the crops and choose what lures we wanted to make and i had no trouble finishing the event now I'll be lucky if i get halfway through. Bring back the event the way it was.

 

If you were going to make the whole game revolve around chance (chance of getting Crates, chances of having anything worthwhile in the Crates), you could at least give us all a little bit of a chance. I have only received a couple of Premium Lures and no Deluxe Lures at all! I have only ever received single lures in my Crates - perhaps I got a bad batch!

 

LOL, they could have called this game " Catch The Bait"

 

So you took my favourite event and ruined it. I used to enjoy picking which lures I wanted and milling them but now I will get few that I want due to events I can’t complete due to time constraints. So unhappy

 

This is pretty much a washout for me, I cannot finish any of the farm quests. due to RL, I get a bit here and there but it's a quarter of what I could do to finish. I get a lure every couple of days but no real progress. This latest quest has me scratching my head.
I guess one could choose whether to start or not, alas I thought it was going to be familiar and straightforward to do. Not this time.

 

Just one more gripe about this event: the Fishy Fountain upgrades. If we place them when the item is halfway through it's two day cycle, it reverts to the full time! How is this fair?

 

I do like the longer hours on the games though. It gives me more time to finish it.

I don't mind getting the lures over a longer time. However, I find this game fairly boring, so I don't like having to do all the basic lures to get such a small reward. I would prefer to have fewer lures but more deluxe ones, or some way of changing the basic lures into deluxe.

 

I moment I saw BONANZA in the title of this event I knew it somehow, somewhere had a negative twist towards the players.

Players asked the Team to slow down on events. I think the Team aimed to do just that with this long run event. Too bad the Team also linked the event to no less as 4 other inbetween events, which all, not only requiered player participation and time but also got a ridiculously high amount of requirements. In return the player got rewarded a few lures and minor other rewards for the effort.

Only the crates won in the fishing game handed out more decent rewards. But the Star Coins given out frequently were useless to any player who already owns all previous Fishing Cloud Rows. The Angling Shop had absolutely nothing to offer: 5 upgrades for a useless giver (33 hrs - 4750 EP + crate) and old, outdated, worthless givers. Super EXTRAORDINARY disappointing.

 

Well said and so true! All these worthless coins to spend in a worthless shop. The coins were very slow in coming at first when trying to get the 5 upgrades (surprise, surprise - not), after that...well they dropped like flies.....useless. These givers can't even be given away during G&T, no one wants them. I'm not even bothering with the current event to get another five crates o' lures, too many requirements, not worth the effort. Done with the fishing now except for waiting, waiting, and more waiting for the fish fountain to spit out one basic lure.

 

Well my summer fishing event is going to be a bummer. I have completed all of the other events, gotten all the lure boxes possible. I finally got star coins from the event yesterday so I could buy the giver upgrades there. I will have gotten my last box from the giver tomorrow and unless I get a whopping 6 lures from the giver, I will not finish the fishing event since I am at a stand still of 94 games played.

What a way to ruin my favorite mini game. I hated doing the "find the item" event as it is my least favorite mini game, but I completed it to get the lure boxes. I was fine with the heat is on and the kite flying thing and completed all of them.

What is the point of not being able to finish the one event that is dependent on finishing all the other events?? I have finished all the others and harvested my giver item every time it is ready and I still need more lures to finish the big event.

What is the point of even playing this game when there is no way to win except by luck with a RNG within the game?

This game made more sense and was more fun over 10 years ago when I first started playing.

Now, it is impossible to even finish an event when you did everything possible to get the lures and completed all the connected events.

Are you sure you completed all of the other events?

 

I got the great chase up to about 188 levels, not the 235 levels and didn't get the giver up to the shorter times until I finally got star coins yesterday to purchase the curtains, so it is slow going on that.

I completely did dance in the wind 1-2-3-4, Heat is on, Shipside bazaar. But all I have is 94. Will get one tomorrow morning with 23 hours left in the event. So somehow, I missed 10? Did the great chase need completed entirely, or just to the cloud row? I was past the cloud row, but not at the end of the chances.

I guess I will have to buy the last few lures.

 

I should've mentioned that 105 is the minimum number of lures you could get without purchasing anything with real money, relying on luck for more than 1 lure per crate, or applying any curtains to the giver. So even if you were only working with the base giver and only got 1 lure from each and every crate, you'd still get 105 lures.

To get all 35 lures offered in The Great Chase III, you had to reach level 146 with 23,895 game points on the 2nd task list on the right. That's a minimum of 177 games for game #1 (find all items) with a perfect score of 135 per game, or a minimum of 228 games for games #2 (find 10 items) and #3 (spot the difference) with a perfect score of 105 per game.

 

Like many, I love the fishing events in general, so thank you for them. This time around, I was disappointed with the choices in the angling shop. I already had most of the CR & giver items, so at some point "winning" star coins was like getting a dud lure. Also, is there any way star coins could carry over from event to event??

 

OMG...I have never been so happy for a fave event of mine to end. what a debacle. I will say this last week I have played the game less and less bc of this. This is usually an event I find fun...when done its original way.
