Swap and shop in market place

It would be nice to have a sort of "swap and shop" in the market place. If you get something on the farm wheel, or are gifted something from your mentor that you don't need or can't use, you would have a place to get ride of it instead of storing it for ages. You could be able to swap the item with another player for an item of equal or lesser value, or sell it just like the trade fair that is already implemented. But instead of having it every so often, it be a a permanent part of the market place.
Just a thought...

 

This sounds a lot like the Gift and Trade mini event. They used to be quite rare, but now have become more frequent. One will be announced in the event forum and maybe as an announcement, shortly before it begins.

Here is a link to the FAQ for how it generally works. Be aware, though, that what is and is not available changes each time. Mostly, one or two newly released items (pens, trees, EP givers) are included.

Also, when the G & T event is announced, there will be a "wishlist" thread in the ChitChat forum where you can post what you might like and what you have to trade for. Those trades are unofficial, with gift licenses, but it is a way to get different items that you really want.

 

I know there is a mini event that happens every so often.... but what I was talking about would be something of a permanent nature. Where you could do it whenever you need it rather than keep holding on to the items. The idea is still pretty much the same, but having it all the time so even new players can have access when they need it. Licenses could still be issued, but may need to be done so on a different scale. Just a few changes to what is already there and it could be a permanent thing. Like I said, it was just a thought.

 

I like this idea because when G&T comes around I usually make the mistake of trading something that I want to hold onto because it has happened after an event where I cleared my fields. I wanted some type of warehouse or storage area to put the items that are "tradeable" but this could work.

If it were permanent you could list the items you want to trade and leave them in the "swap meet" until a trade was made. This could also mean more trades because new players are added all the time so if a higher level player doesn't want the item maybe a "newbie" would. If there were an item you wanted you could also work to obtain the item the player wanted to trade for it instead of having a "limited" time to get it during G&T.
