Great input Growalot. Thanks for pointing out the use of CF, worth a try as well!
Somehow I tend to forget about comfort fields as I rarely use them ;)

I just planted Bonnet cactus with poo and water (plus my CR) but I'm not wasting my SG for so few drops that I will probably get. I know I want the lobster, humming bird and lion(can't remember the other one:p) After that I'm not sure how much further I will go:sleepy: Almost forgot to send my gifts for today:eek::eek::oops: Best wishes everyone!!

I guess I am doing OK since I'm on level 8 (Lobster & Hummingbird). I need 30 each of the flower tiaras and flower lies. I have 7 of 1 and 8 of the other made.

I started the day out by forgetting to eat my CA before harvisting the 2 fields of event crops. Were is that wooden mallet when I need to slap myself in the forehead. :oops:Anyway, I broke my own rule :p and bought some SG to counterbalance the harvest without CAC.

Now, looking at the time. I put SG on 2 more fields of event crops so I can harvest before bed. I will then plant my trusty Chayote so they will be ready for the mourning.

I'm back to being more patient. xD

Good luck to everyone, and Thank You BP for helping me to develop a deeper level of acceptance and patients. :D

Harvested 2 fields of chayote - 4 drops on one field, 2 on the other.

At least I don't feel so bad now. Tiaras are so slow. Think I harvested one field without any and had Saguara growing. At level 6 of 8 and have lei making. Good luck everyone.

Just 60 more drops needed (Tiara's) to complete the event... My estimation 24 to 36 hours -.-

xDxDxD:wuerg:xDxD You are optimistic, Banjoman!! So it's like this...thought I could do whatever temples I wanted. Apparently I am wrong-.-:( I wanted to start with Layer 8, then do Layer 5 but I guess I can't do thato_O:eek: Does this mean I have to do each Totem or whatever they're called both times before I can move onto the next one?

Yup Julie, you guessed right. Would've been awesome when winning a lottery but in this event you'll need to build 2 totems to the full before the next layer with new dancers becomes available. Due to complex choreography no skips are allowed.

I got 5 Tiara's from almost a whole field of Bonnet Cactus on 1X1's and 2 Tiara's from 12 comfort fields of Zucchini's (done in 9 1/2 hrs), could probably put a little longer growing crop on the CF's to get more.

I am using a different strategy as I get better drops of Tiaras on Bell Peppers using buffs and tiki timers. Getting on average of 8 to 10 Tiaras per Harvest reaping better drops than longer timed crops ;)
Going to need to do one more round of trees to get more Strings to complete layer 8 Totems:)

I tried the 5 hour sweet potato and was rewarded with 0 (zero) tiaras. Will have to try the peppers - maybe that extra hour harvest time makes a difference. I wasn't even planning to do this event - until I spotted that hummingbird as a prize. Would really like another one, but am starting to wonder if it will happen. . .and all because of tiaras.

Dangnabbit!!! I figured that's what the answer would be, habalala:(-.- Soooo un8) Guess it's time for me to go back to my "math class">:(>:( and figure out exactly how many stupid tiaras I need. Yes, I said stupid>:( I already milled some of each so I have to be really careful with those tiaras. No problem getting the strings and thats 1 field of mixed trees. Really want that Lion:p:p One could say they were almost extinct in farmerama;)xD As for growing something that gives good drops, I'm not having luck with that. So I'm thinking turn and burn like they do on the show "Deadliest Catch" Keep doing it and hope for the best!!:D

Finished Layer 6,Still 165 hr left, nearly 1 whole week.Quite plenty of time.
tHe latter 2 layer demand a high amount of tiaras as well as stings.
I think I got no troubles on sting as I am a mix type farmers. I will calculate
the amount of event crops I still need after I determine which 2 totems I
will choose for each layer. Finished getting the event crops, I will use CF(comfort field)
to boost the drops. To speed up time, I may use some SG as my stock has over 1000 again! :)

Lol - I was ignoring this event - Opened up all my final Crystal fields. Plopped down most of the trees I had been saving. Started some animals and products I drained due to Crystal Fields. Was farming my merry baha. Opened up papyrus. Planted a bunch of them.

So I decide to see how far I can get on the event tonight. I am at layer 5 - with I think enough stuff to complete the layer. Now I am stuck - Which stable to go for.... I all ready have one of each.
No goal to finish - but who knows... Still a lot of time left....

I only need 78 more Tiaras to finish. xD

I don't need any Strings. Crops are all done so I am hoping that I can plant long term crops and harvest once a day over the next few days to maximise any falling Tiaras! :music:
As said, I will not be able to do much till Wednesday so please forgive me if I don't send any gifts for those days. :)

While writing, may I just say please do not send any drops to Chevrefeuille or Chevrefeuile, they don't do events, they just sit on the fence watching all the farmers running around like proverbial chickens (including this farmer!) and laughing at this strange phenomena that is FOCD and the more recent EFOCD! xD

    Good luck all! ;)

It is actually a nice event. The tiaras are slow. I have pandas and trees on crystal falls and they bring in a lot of strings. I have enough to finish the event. The tiaras are something else. I had the other 2 fields with saguaros. I only got 12 of those this morning. I need 27 flower tiaras to finish the event. Roughly 135 tiaras to finish making them. I am hoping they drop well over the next few days so I can get the second totem finished on level 8 and get the cloud row too. I went for hummingbird first as I only have 1, the next I will probably go for penguin as I have 2 of those and 3 lobster.

Yes, it is a complicated choreography! LOL! I guess I'm too old to move my hips like that. The sloth does a better job than me...

I'm enjoying this event. Nice, easy, relaxed... It's been a hectic week for me... trying to get caught up on yardwork and make a major financial decision, lying in bed the math either puts me to sleep or makes it impossible to sleep. LOL!

By my calculations... this event is 13 days * 24= 312h /2= 156 half way point, occurred sometime yesterday
Still have 140h left, almost 6d.

I hope everyone tried this event. The TEP/hr was not spectacular but the prizes are decent. If not participating in the event I've noticed some markets are at risk of going dark for lack of poop.

When trying to decide which pens to go for... I checked to see which one I was lacking. If it was a tie... I check to see which one I can make the most coins from selling the critters.

On one of my farms I made the mistake of not checking what needed to be donated for which prizes. Needed 5 white elephants... since I don't breed outside of BBD (why does that sound... off... of course I'm referring to the game critters... lol ) I had to buy the critters. Costly. But it's just a game.

    Farm configurations are all similar:
30% LL rune, all available plots on all three fields are open for farming. No Howie donuts in play and no baskets or whatever purchased.

    My farms:
Farm 1: Currently working on totems 13&14. Need more string. Not worried yet. I could easily reconfigure the farm but... I'm too lazy
Farm 2: Currently waiting for string to finish totem 14. Again, too soon to worry.
Farm 3: Would you believe I still need a few more string to finish totem 14. lol...
Definitely strings attached to this event... ROFLMAO

Reminder: When checking to see how many drops one gets from a field... keep in mind that when the pop-up from the bottom right displays... it can fill up and not be able to display everything. Check the barn or mill before and after harvesting to get an accurate count.

I HOPE Y'ALL ARE ENJOYING THIS EVENT AS MUCH AS I AM!!!
