Temple of Doors Event Strategy

Well good luck to everyone! No bells or whistles on my farm BUT I did get 115 drops, so I am kind of happy, lol because only time will tell if this is good or bad! ha ha And the game goes on!

 

Had some trees and pens out to finish a goal which put me a bit behind in drops; but not complaining with 112 drops (rye and lemongrass planted). Nuked crops in the ground, so it's seed building time.
Got an extra nice start to the event with a party spin giving me 200% ep for 24 hours!

I ended up with 94 tablets growing Rye on main fields and Bell Pepper on rainforest fields with trees on outside. These were my highest ranked crops at the mo.
No pens except for a single Swan. It looks so good I didn't want to get rid of it.

I offered to do the previous event - wonder tree event - the broke way - with no water, super grow manure etc., I even baited for it. But no response. I do not know why he is so sad to part with that bread roll.

By placing a chicken or carrot or manure offer in the market. Then you will be signed in. You FOCD will be cured. But you will be caught with MOCD - Market OCD. For which there is no cure. Even with broke medicine

I am now with 196 drops. Going to my other farms to see the result.

I got 143 tablets from initial harvest. Had 12 Chopstick Workshops and high value pens on BaHa, High ep trees in Rainforest and Carnations and high ep trees elsewhere.

Due to time zone, I had to finished initial planting for the 4 hr crop.
so, add SG on on the 90 silver vase, then take a look at my SSG, oh, yes I could afford
a 90 spend. So, now had 810 silver vase on barn wait for next morning plant
For 8 hr crop, got the 90 seed & start 2nd round of 2X2, with SG, beside WI, I also eat a Fruit cake
just to short a few more min. so that I can go to bed a bit earlier.
1 hr more, I could harvest & re- plant the lobster claw as overnight crop.
Lastly, Look at the stone, Oh Yeah~
I had 205 (2 from magic tree, 3 from gift),
I had got total 200 drops on starting. Really good

I got 96 in my other farm & 127 in my little farm. It did better than the higher level farm.

 

with out of town guests, I planned to produce long crops yesterday afternoon, however, I somehow managed to not plant any crops whatsover. I was switching my ALL animal fields over to plots...I liked to died this morning when I saw empty fields, maybe 10 leftover stalls, and trees lining the edge of my fields...Still managed to get 56 tablets! Although I am starting off behind due to my stupid move, ever so grateful for the 56

 

The Randomness of receiving Circle / Triangle / Wave keys worries me.​

I feel that the best way, (and probably the most boring way) is to wait until I have all the requirements for
All 42 of these keys and with one click, hope to get 14 of each. I would be very upset, if I did it this way, and ended up with say, ten of one (and 18 of another!!) What do you others think?

I'd say the chance of getting exactly 14 if each and no extra is very small, you should expect to grow extra crops, otherwise you are just setting yourself up for disappointment... But if you exchange for the random keys first (before you have grown all the crops for the square keys) you can avoid growing unnecessary silver vases at least.

I think I'll do middle/right doors first. Towards the end of the second round I'll grow a little more lobster claws and try to get the last random keys while growing silver vases for the square keys.

Always look on the bright side Since events have become routine for many of us, this one comes with an added challenge: Find a strategy for the event which doesn't leave you frustrated or disappointed

 

I Hope My Guidelines help you get more Drops this time. Well Done to all Who had good drops. On my Initial Harvest I got 224 Stone Tablets.

The Game bit slow at the moment but be aware BigPoint Data Center is doing maintenance tomorrow which might affect Farmerama. Hopefully is goes without a Hitch

Yes David we hope cross fingers that Randomness will not be that Bad but we have to wait until we get there

 

I think I will follow your advice, Mir. I have not applied my mind to any specific strategy for this event. Not going do so in future for this event. Just keep on doing. I was thinking where should I start from. I will go for the middle one and and do the right keys first. That's very good strategy. Thanks.

A field of 2x2 plots lobster claws gave 20 drops. That's good. So drops might not be a problem.

I do not think at all. Not feel up to it, right now

 

I like your idea Mir but will modify it a bit for myself. I traded for two random keys and managed to get the two that opened the door to the CAC. Since I only had enough crops for the squares in the next room, I opened door 1 and have now moved to room three.

 

As the lobster claw takes longer to grow (with and without SG) and the minimum amount of those is 7300+ due to randomness, my farm will grow those first. I aim for 10k just to make sure. After initial nuking and the such I'll use 4 fields for them, all 1x1.
My 5th field is for growing Silver Vase, also 1x1.

This way I'm pretty confident I'll get enough crops to exchange for keys and do all the rooms. I will follow the path as mentioned in my post on page 1, givers first, CR next, goodies to finish.

I'm happy the tablet drops seem to be reasonable. I don't expect to read negative comments about it in the Feedback thread. YAY!

Pretty sad when a mature adult gets excited about not being able to work so they can Farmerama for the day!!

I don't usually do this, but I am going to grow all crops first and then open doors.
I'll grow a few extra lobster claws and keep some in reserves in case I need to grow more.
Anyway, that's the plan lol

Think I am going to do the same CylentLea ... last event I made a Boo Boo and was short of 1300 crops .. was lucky that I found a field that I hadn't harvested to fall back on

 

Wild guess, my 2 cents .. you didn't find a way to avoid it. Not yet.
