The Ant Trail

To me it seems the drop rate on the event field for Wood Ants is very reasonable. First harvest with a full field (31* 2x2, 6* 1x2, 20* 1x1) provided 30 drops. Fingers crossed it stays this way!

The drop rate on baha for Branches seems on the low side, as usual it proves trees ain't a great source for drops. Over 200 trees out on baha here since yesterday but I'm still 50 drops short to get the giver. Seems it was needed to have at least 2 fields with trees at the start to do the trick. Oh well, it might not be needed but I'll get that giver tomorrow. Guess no real harm is done when you skip the entire support quest.

Did you notice there are 13 ants at a time heading to the Ant Hill?

Remember the great great grand baby farm fishy_broke? (It prepared to finish well in the TOP competition. At the time of the event I decided to go on Farmarama tour carrying different flags and get booted out of the event while playing at the bottom.)

I have always said preparing is necessary to do well. At the time of final donation, if one is prepared, the decision one must make is WHAT NOT TO DONATE.

From the event:

Ingredients: 400 x Papayas, 400 x Guavas, 400 x Bananas
Time: 10 minutes

• • Recipe 2:

Ingredients: 200 x Nutmegs, 200 x Myrrha buds, 200 x Chocolate vine pods
Time: 10 minutes

I glanced at the fishy_broke farm just to see how well it did prepare.

I stopped counting when I got to 1 million tree fruit of Guavas, Myrrha buds, Chocolate vine, and Papaya. No time for this at the moment and some faq reading.

I have never seen an answer given when asking other in this forum: What should I not donate? Several months after a TOP event, the game gives me the answer.

WOW, the finest boot (out of an event) collection in the game and at least hundreds of millions of ccs to match. That fishy_broke is surely a spectacle in the broke family. Gotta keep an eye on that great great grand baby farm.

 

Yes, but did you notice their behavior in the roundabouts - not according to the rules sometimes?

 

I had just ask Mod on about the event harvest boost as well as
the deco : Jack O’ Gift
They like the crafting buff & wheel buff
Also do not had effect on this special event field!


So, no short cut at any way.
Farmers, we had to work like actual farmer, working hard and patient
to get harvest!

olofkalle - yes, those speedy little buggers ( the ants )like to compete who is going to be first and pass one another up on the turns!!!
I'm enjoying the event! I've got my whole field in 1x1's watering and harvesting away. Making some bb's on selling trees too!

 

why is there 3 different mulches does it matter which one we do? or do we need all 3 at some point im a little confused which hasn't been to hard to do lately im all confused in RL

 

MARLYNAR, you only need to chose 1 type to mill
The game team offer 3 choices is to let player find which one more suitable to them.

 

Looks like these branches are hard to get. I'm slowly increasing the number of trees on Baha. Didn't expect rebuilding fields for this event.

 

With the mulches I did not do all 5 with the same fruits. I did a 1:2:2 to suit my stock.

 

I have all 3 fields on Baha in trees but left my storage facilities in place. I always leave them and just work around it. I have the first Anthill giver on both farms. Making decent progress with the event but have noticed this farm gets less ant drops than 2nd farm. By 10 each harvest even though both farms are fully in 1x1s.

Too soon to panic but since there is nothing that can be done anyway, just will do my best and hope it is enough.

 

No need for any panic PnP!
To get 405 drops needed, without counting in the ones that are gifted, pre calculated avg Wood Ant drop needed per harvest is around 20 (during about 20 harvests needed to get the crops).
So far on my farm the drops vary from 20-35 per harvest (mainly 4x4s). Enough to make it, even without Anthill.
I decided to get 1 Anthill just in case drops would've been worse. By now I somewhat regret doing so.

Ant Trail up-date, I have just completed level 12 and now have 5 BB's! not bad for only getting 2 crops per 1x1 and only using water and manure!
In the "Puzzled Ants quest" I completed all of the 1st 3 tasks and got the "Wood Ant" giver. I may or may not go back and finish that
as it depends on how many branches I get, as I do have all the barn items!

Oh wow, I have been using only the 2x2 plots i started out with on initial planting ( 15 plots ).
Forgot to add in the remaining 2x2's, 1x2's and the 1x1's to finish the fields out .
oh well hoping for better results now that my brain has woke up .
Maybe now i want have to set alarm to get up and harvest all through the night lol
On the up side at least i have a couple more days...
