One more harvest will see both farms finished. I'm glad this was a relatively easy and no stress event. My farming has been a bit erratic these last couple of weeks so it is nice that there was no hurry, hurry, hurry

I'm on the last strech, waiting for the crop, plenty of drops. Will continue to grow until the event ends. Build up a nice stock.

 

I've got my last planting of the event crop in to get the cloud row. Might plant one more to get a leg up on glowberry for the barn (and reap the exrra EP while I can).

 

dumbunny ! You opened my eyes ! I was thinking I grew 800 extra crops. Completely forgot that the berries stay in the game. Thanks.

 

I may be shooting myself in the foot, but I will stop growing extra crops today and will just get 300 seeds daily in the shop to build up a supply. I want to move onto something else.

 

I've also stopped growing the globeberries. After the event they will convert to the "other" category and I can use tropic colada (+3) and melon madness (+1) instead of CAC

 

Well done to those who have finished....only took 2 days to complete so got plenty of time to look at doing FSQs and growing animals in preperation of breeding event coming up.

I know Mir, but I'm getting close to three digits. Probably a bit overdue for the 2 year anniversary, but hopefully not by mutch. So I'm building while the EP is good.

Done and CR up ! Have CAC still running, so will do another crop harvest for barn stock.

So, after much deliberation I decided to do the event. Am just waiting on finishing the event crops. Not handed anything in yet as can't decide if to do the sidebar that requires tools. Do the rewards seem worth it for the tool requirements? I'm thinking maybe not, but I guess it depends how much of a tool stash you already have and how engrossed in building stuff you are. I'm interested in others opinions on this.

 

1500 nails for 15 PF, sure no problem. I'm still upgrading my menageries and manufactories, so wood boards and bricks were out of the question for me. I could have traded in roof tiles, but there is no PF for those. So I only did the first task on the left side bar.

 

fifi, I can only tell you about why I chose to do the side involving tools.

Completing that side gives you 3 PF for each step of the main progress bar. 3 x 15 = 45 PF
That is PF I didn't have to mill and with monthly breeding events, every bit is needed. I also love the crates, wonder trees and there are rumors in the Grapevine about needing Farm coins. I used a lot of mine in the Farm coin shop for the snail, lion and shark.

The only tools that I was really low on was wood boards from expanding my storage facilities but my supply will return from regular farming and my lovely friends and neighbors send toolboxes.

I don't remember what my trees became but my crate of gold turned into 8 PF.

A total of 53 PF from sending off some tools. Worth it? Yes.

 

Fifi - In my opinion, you have actually stated the crux of the matter. It really depends on tool supply or desire to concentrate on upgrading pens/storage; along with whether or not one buys much of their PF.

Like Pnp, I also considered the tool donations worth it for the PF, farm coins and crates. Also, mill time is valuable. With the frequent need to use the mill for events shortening the time available to make PF the trade seemed good to me; especially since I had a decent supply of tools. Best of luck with the direction you pursue!

 

Done. Turns out my math was faulty and I had to grow one more set of glowberries for the last segment...but I still have about 1500 in the barn, so put in other crops overnight and am moving on today as well...

 

Thank you for your thoughts my farmer friends . The main one I'm concerned about is hammers as the requirement is a large amount in comparison to what I have. I'm still weighing up how far to go with the left side bar ...which in turn is stopping me from completing any of the main bar to get this event finished with until I can decide .
