    (strictly my opinion):
    1. Suzee Rabbit - the one and only reason I hung around the forum in the first place
    2. sglick - our Arizonian Amazone. Miss you girl!
    3. Kiss -edit: media removed -

    You got to love them!

    1. Our diverse and stunningly gorgeous National Park system that is open for all:inlove:
    2. Freedom to think for ourselves and have our own opinions
    3. That in spite of all the bad things that people here do, there are even MORE silent ones who do many, many good things
    4. Freedom to live and travel all over this beautiful country, without borders or papers of any kind (except a driver's license, if you choose to drive, or possibly in the future, a birth certificate).

I agree with everything Farmlily3 said. Just for fun if we are talking music my best of the US would not include KISS. :p

My top 3 picks off the top of my head would be:
    Bruce Springsteen
    Eagles
    Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers

There is also some really great food to be found in all the different regions. I know most people in the world think all we eat are junk and fast food but it's so not true that is unfortunately mostly what we export though.

Well, as far as American music is concerned, I'll take good ol' blues any day over lots of other genres. But, I love lots of different kinds of music and musical artists.

As for the best things about the US? I like the diversity. That we really are a melting pot and that in spite of what the news tries to portray, most of us do get along with each other.

    Bruce makes me puke, litterly.
    Eagles I can handle
    and I love Tom Petty.

    But AC/DC rocks our world!

AC/DC are Australian but I do agree they are a great rock band.

LOL trying to come up with a couple of my top fave bands to list and this would be the conversation in my head: "No their English, English, English, Australian, English, English, English, Canadian wait I have to like some American rock band." o_O

I also love the diversity and all the wonderful things listed above. Yellowstone National Park has to be one of the singular most beautiful places in the world.

A topic only a bored Swede would come up with on a Friday night....;)
Please take no offence as it was certainly not intended :)

Ah, but if the supervolcano underneath it goes off, those living anywhere in the vicinity are toast! xD:wuerg:

That would include me and pretty much my entire family as part of Yellowstone is situated in the south eastern corner of my state (Montana). There's always something, no matter where you live. Volcanos, earthquakes, tsunamis, tornados, hurricanes, blizzards. I will say that if the scientists that monitor Yellowstone were to say that eruption is imminent and that we should bug out, we would leave. Not stay like that guy on the side of Mt. St. Helens...they never did find him.

I do not live in the US, but did visit there some years ago for a three week holiday in New England & Cape Cod. My most outstanding memory that remains with me today ... and had to the best thing ever was a seriously good looking Bar Tender in the 'Lobster Pot' in Provincetown breaking open and 'Hand' feeding me my 'Clam Bake' .... much to my then Hubby's utter disgust .... Next best thing ... can't get here in the UK ... Apple Sticks !!!xDxDxD
