Announcement The End of Flash - January 2021

Hey farmers,

We would like to share the next update about the Future of Farmerama with you. ​

From Thursday December 17th, 2020 around 2pm CET the Unity/WebGL Client will be the default client when you log in to Farmerama. ​

Everyone already using the Standalone Client is of course not affected by this – you can simply continue playing Farmerama via it. Everyone playing already in the Unity/WebGL Client will experience a normal login process.

For those users who cannot play in the Unity/WebGL or who didn´t install the Standalone Client yet (if not done yet, please install it) this means that the Flash Client will only be available until January 11th 2021. You can reach it via button in the right corner at the bottom of the game frame ​

Additionally, MAC users who have experienced issues with installing the Standalone Client will be able to install the it before we disable the Flash Client. So, hang in there, we will update this thread as soon as possible.

Again, we want to highlight that Internet Explorer is a non-supported browser, please switch to for example Chrome or Firefox! ​

We want to thank everyone, who participated in the Open Beta and the technical tests. All the constructive and valid feedback is much appreciated, and we are confident that you will soon recognize that the last weeks were worth the effort.

Also, we want to assure that the Dev Team continues working on fixing open issues, polish the game further and on top we are creating new entertaining content for 2021. While we can understand that some of you still want to play in the Flash Client, this is simply not possible. We read many comments about the timing, and that a few of you feel that we didn't work hard enough, that we ignored the topic for too long and so on, this couldn’t be any further away from the truth. Believe it or not but we are working on the future of Farmerama since a long time and as you might be able to imagine we experienced many setbacks during this period. So yes, we are proud that Farmerama will have a future! We mentioned it already a few times: Farmerama means a lot to us too. Also, our community means the world to us and this isn't sarcasm, it's a simply the truth.

Trust us: the moderators are sometimes fighting like lions for you! And most of the times they are in the bad position and need to handle all the criticism, negative comments, and complaints. We always feel sorry if you are unhappy, disappointed, or sad – but mainly we feel sorry for them! So, don´t blame your moderators if you are unhappy about decisions, bugs, or last-minute announcements. Always stay constructive and be patient. We are grateful that all moderators trust us and that they support us also during stressful times. THANK YOU!!!
