Given the Statistics posted here. Sunshireaz that quiet a poor drop rate of 54 MG using Turnips. As i just harvested 5 Fields of Power Puffs got 42 MG Drops, Which can be reaped in 4h 48 Mins using only water. Compared to Turnips takes 19 hours excluding water.

Hence the Drop Rate Ratio, i just done some recalculation that I and many of you will have to do some nuking to make up for shortfall of MG Drops :p let say within the next 36 Hours. Give yourself some Milling Time of Detective Tools they do take at least 27 Minutes of Milling time :p

I have 63 Tools made so I still need 1,300 soot and 407 mag glasses:eek::eek: I'm more worried about the glasses. Looks like I will be doing BBD and hope I get glasses from there:p Lots (and I do mean lots) of luck everyone!!

I am in about the same spot as everyone else. I have all the goodies investigated and my cheese is on nibble mode. I have managed to get the CR. I figured start with it and maybe I could collect the givers for it later if needed? I have some more investigatory tools milling. Those magnifiers are the item that I need more of.
Doing some BB and have carnations growing in main and puffs in baha

The farmwheel is stingy with any bonuses on my farms that help event crops. None. Usually only EP/TEP so I save my party spins for the introduction of new farmwheel items. I will use any extra event crops to nibble more PF as it takes so long to mill and we need so much of it for breeding events.

This farm should finish easily. The other 2 are struggling much like the rest of you. Here are the amounts of my detective tools that include what is currently being milled right now.

    Pnp: 76
    BW: 60
    3rd farm: 58

I am not sure bbd will help me much you need to use 22pf to mill
1 tool is it worth it?

Don't forget you get to keep the results of the breeding. If you keep PF to use for breeding events which need such a lot of it, it's not going to be worth it. If you use breeding to make upgraded pens / workshops or to work on Farmer's Society quests then I would say it is worth it.
This event gives out a fair amount of PF if you keep growing extra crops for the cheese wheel which gives PF. A single harvest of event crops on 4 fields with CAC gives 60 power feed! I know there's 5 fields available, I'm keeping one for longer term projects.

I switched to CF fields overnight using refined carnations. To reduce the time I had the flower CR, white innocence, fruit bread, water, poo and used SG. Timing was 10:26 to harvest, which is fine for an overnight. I got 48 glasses each on both fields with 44 CF and the rest in 1x1. On my main Baha field I did 1x1 honeydews and received only 24 glasses. As a side note I only got 45 and 46 soots on each on the normal farms but 135 on the Baha. So it does seem using the CF's is the best way to boost your glasses IF you can do it and have enough buffs and SG to make it work.

I've got a field of the puffs in CF's right now using SG and buffs to bring them down to the same harvest time as a regular field with only water. I will report back on the drops when I harvest them. Meanwhile I might try a bit of breeding, I really want to upgrade my ostrich egg farms from orange to red.

Woo hoo! Got +1 on a regular spin, and just now 100% harvest bonus on party spin, yippee! :D I normally hoard my party spins for new items like pnp, but I've got a nice triple digit number saved, so I splurged. I did enough rounds of carnations that I should have no trouble getting the remaining drops I need, and now I can grow some extra event plants to get more spins. :music: And maybe replenish some of the SG I used, too. And then there's the PF. Decisions, decisions... :p On the drops side of things, I put out 19 mystery stables last night in my glade, and got 17 glasses from there this morning, so not a bad return. One or 2 could have come from the trees I always leave out there, but I'm fairly sure most came from stables. So if you have any saved, you might try putting them out now.

o_Of. I've just thought to calculate how much PF you could buy from using the crops to 'nibble' rather than spending them on the deco items and the cloud row. I get 250 power feed
Is this cloud row really worth it?

I am just growing puffs for powerfeed - no interest in the givers or cloud rows, not worth it. Nibbling the cheese wheel is so much quicker and easier than milling, or fussing over drops! It is nice to see an event that has so many options.

My harvest of the CF's with the puffs was not great. On one field with 44 CFs of puffs and the rest 1x1's (18) of watermelon I netted 22 MGs. The other field of just 44 CFs (the rest of the spaces are trees not harvested at this time) I only received 12 MGs. So that does not seem worth the SG used to try to increase the drops.

In the meantime I've done some breeding and not only did I manage to get one red ostrich farm I got lucky with a couple of skips and got enough to make two farms. :inlove::D The plus side is I got the extra MGs so now I believe I can finish without having to use anymore SG or CFs.

I don't think the CR is worth using that much PF for by the way. If you don't have a specific breeding goal in mind or a stock of PF I would not suggest going that way.

Happy to report I have the CR up and running. 40 MG, 783 Soot leftover and 4697 Powder Puff ready for Cheese Wheels.

Shimmer I think the CR is worth it, once a day + 40% EP on all Event Crops for 12 hrs makes a lot of extra EP now we have event after event and event crops usually already have a high base EP value. Plus, the CR doesn't go POOF like PF does. The other extra EP on grains and vegetables are a bonus.

I think big farm is going to make it - just. Baby farm has given up but is going for the givers in the hope of having something trade worthy. For those who may not finish and don't care about the CR getting those givers may be a good strategy so you have something to trade during gift and trade... just my two pence worth.;)

I decided to go for it in the end as I'd already milled enough for 2 of the givers. I'm not certain I would have if I'd noticed how expensive it was earlier.

I'm really liking this event with all the options but I do think it should have been labelled hard difficulty not medium.

After doing some refined SG'd carnations and some breeding, I feel completely comfortable in completing this now. Just wish I had a PF fairy to replace my used PF, barely a dent in my SG though. ;) :music:

I used the two water growth reductions and the SGlove, which I finally got, and the elixir and source of life buffs and the flower cloud row on CF. When you have the correct refinements it does make events easier, sometimes, ummmmmm nah this was still a nail biter. If I hadn't SG'd the carnations I probably would not have been able to finish. Funny thing is, on one farm the soot was higher and the MG was lower than the other. o_O :p

I definitely need to refine Raspberries!!!!! My next refinement task. ;) xD :music:

I did do some breeding, about 200 times. Otherwise I honestly don't think I would be able to finish. I should be able to get the rest of my glasses sometime today or tonight:p This one is becoming a nailbiter!!:wuerg:xD

It was crafty of Bigpoint to introduce Baby Boom, to lure us to splurge our stock of PF. I am short on MG Drops. But i am not going to do Breeding.

As i know the better alternative is to do Nuking using Refinements of either Carnations or Leeks. As you only need 1 SG per Comfort Field as each CF will give you 1 MG Drop. Therefore 40 SG will give 40 Magnifying Glass

For example Julie1013 did 200 Breeding that requires 400 PF. To gain 200 MG. The Nuking Strategy only needs 200 Super Grow, which in itself is cost saving as PF are more valuable than PF that is my view :p

It is well worth it to do or work on Refinements as it is Great to get a shortfall on event drops. I will go back to work on 1 or 2 other beneficial refinement, it just the price of crops gone up ouch to work on refinements lol :wuerg:
This event should certainly be set to HARD in terms it hard to get MG drops

Well done Halabala completing this event. As i agree the CR rewards is worth it any extra EP is a bonus. Interesting post same farmers would rather have 250 PF than getting the CR.
Based on my Strategy i can get CR+Givers + 500 PF/ or 100 Party Spins still working on it. It can be done :D
