Players will need to donate certain Mainland and Tropical tree fruits and animals. We need to collect drops to donate to the quest to receive the event rewards.
Event Drops:
Suet Cake

Players will get these drops when harvesting trees, stables and workshops on the 3 tropical lands only!
Drops can be gifted to/from neighbours and friends, or for the same price as in the shopping center.
There will be a Short timed quest called "The Homeless".

This Event will require Bird Houses to complete certain steps. Bird Houses are given as rewards in some of the steps.
Requirements for the Short Timed Quest:
Animals/Birds:
20 each of Tigers, Anteaters, Red Pandas, Flamingos.
15 each of Storks, Swans, Doves, Raccoons, Armadillos, Weasels, Hippos, Axolotls.
Tree Fruits:
80 each of Star Fruits, Brazil Nuts, Poincianas, Carobs.
75 each of Pine Nuts, Samaras, Medlar Berries, Strawberry Fruits, Juniper Berries, Chaste Berries, Pomegranate, Buddha's Hand Fruits.
Drops:
15 Bird Houses
725 Suet Cakes

A special item is offered as a prize.

I am in for this. Looks like we need 725 drops - Suet Cake and 15 Bird Houses

 

Welcome and thanks for your input, @12ss12 . Actually all the details were there in my post, but some glitch has ruined it Calculated very carefully, typed and pressed the 'Post' button. When I checked after a while, nothing there, have done it again

 

Isn't this event a bit on the boring side ? And a bit expensive with all the animals? Even if the EP bonus from the CR is good (I assume it's good, I actually don't know)

 

I understand Nala. It too had happened to me lots of time. May be by mistake it would have got deleted or our net connection would have gone out for few minutes etc., So no worries at all.

 

Thanks Nala for all the great information! I am all in on this one as I have everything but the Suet cakes and bird houses!

SOS? no. the drops are D.O.A. and can't be revived; I got a whole field of workshops...10 suet cakes. Field of Saguaro...16, is this a joke?
or do I have to buy them? This is stupid; a tiny quest and it's slanted toward buying drops.

 

hi saturnia, crops don't give drops for the event. So for initial harvest I had my long term animal pens and workshops. But after a day or two I forgot that crops don't give drops and I made the same mistake, as you, of planting saguaro overnight and next day harvested it and replanted with 12 hrs crop. And when I went to the event window to deposit, what did I see ? Not even 1 drop. And next round too will not yield any drops. So a full day was wasted. So the only thing for me to was to plant 20hrs tree of high EPs with turbo mulch and that gave enough drops for last 2 levels. I agree with you workshops & pens give dismal rate of drops for this event.

Started late on this one so trees were not in the fields initially. Placed them as I harvested pens/crops.

Still I could have finished this if I had made an extra effort.

There are just too many events going on with little or no break in between and the requirements have been high that I am just losing interest.

Don't know how long I will hang in there anymore. Have been playing since 2010.

Had previously suggested that BP do more quests instead of events so that players could take a break when they needed. Events could be held during holidays or on a quarterly basis. With timed quests it wouldn't hurt BP sales either and it might actually increase them. I know that I don't want to spend real money anymore if I am thinking about quitting the game entirely.

They came out with the Event Playfield so it was suggested that this be used for all events. This suggestion was not used. So we plant event crops and purchase other items in the market for the events -- then we wait for the crate that contains large amounts of cc's so that we can purchase items needed to replenish inventory, feed animals, etc. because we can't grow them anymore (there is no time). I know some of you will say that the greenhouse allows for "instant" crops but when you haven't finished upgrading crops in the greenhouse you can't do this and with all the events you can grow them anymore so that is just another thing that you have to use your crate of cc's to purchase. Buying stuff to finish events or quests is ok sometimes but when you have to do it for every quest and most events because your inventory is low or empty it just makes the game no fun.

Congrats to those who finished. I will just add mine to a recent number of quests/events that I was unable to finish.
