Hey y'all! I'll guess Brooke as well. As far as preparing for summer goes, we took the boat out of it's cover and scrubbed it down really well. It went to the shop for a once-over and a fluids change. That's all we need! The boat, a lake, and our fishing poles!!! We are ready. ;)

Oh look! Another guess for Brooke and another guess for TCRooster!! Well, I can confirm again that one of you is right and one of you is wrong!!! (Come on - you so knew that was coming lol!)
    xD;)

@labmommy ~ Fishing and boating sounds wonderful! Do you catch and release or keep and eat what you catch? Today I got brave and ventured out to help MIL plant flowers and her garden. So far allergies are no worse than earlier in the day (!)
    :D

@SillyGuy ~ Oh you are sending me lots of love and here I stand embarrassed as I cannot remember what farm name matches your forum name! (It doesn't help that I am trying to remember who MooBoy is too lol!) {{blush}} I know I read of the revealed name changes a while ago, but it seems like ages ago and I simply cannot remember who is who lol!
    o_O:eek::music:

I wonder who else will venture a guess for a chance to win a CAC... :)

Hey @CJAT! Sometimes we keep our catch for supper, and then sometimes we are fishing water that I'd not eat anything out of! :wuerg::wuerg: I get allergies really bad too and so far this season they have been in check. I hope you don't get to feeling bad after messing with those flowers! I had to hire someone to tend my flower beds for me, I just can't be out like that. I wear a mask when I am mowing. :D

    He has the same.

I will answer to your previous post now.
It is very warm these days. Yesterday it was 26°C (or 78.8°F). But the weather forecast predicts rain for the next days, we will see if it is right.
My family owns a hotel so we live there in the summer. Of course you can borrow the neublon's transporter and come and stay for as long as you want:D:p
In Greece the form of exams varies in every subject. It is like you said depending on the teacher. There are true or false questions, multiple-choise and matching some words(mostly with the same meaning) (and fill in the blanks but this kind of taks rarely do you see it in exams, most of the times in a test) but this kind of tasks are most frequent in the subjects of a foreign language, Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Computers. And subjects like Literature, History, Language have a question which needs to be answered with what you have studied. There are also some other questions like in History, one task is to read a text and with your knowledge and what is said in the text you should answer a question. In Maths or Physics you should prove that one type or sentence is true(or even false).
There is no subject which has only one type of questions but combines some of them.

Ok CJAT I'm going to guess Brooke even though I have no real idea of what is going on around here, lol. Nor do I need the CAC :p

Quick update... Life is just pure crazy and about to get crazier. Right now I watch 2 kids 4 out of 5 days a week. I also have a part time job 2 days a week. Leaving me 1 day to breathe 8) After the end of school in a couple of weeks I will also be taking on my brothers kids 5 days a week. I think I need a bigger vehicle that fits more people so I can take them all to the park and let them run and play. Too many kids for my small house.

We had four correct guesses, but since pepsi did not want her CAC, I say we give it to farmerlily instead! So our official winners are puppiesnponies, labmommy30, and farmerlily22!! Please igm me and let me know which farm you would like your CAC sent to!

You're most welcome!! I actually gave up drinking all soda a long time ago in hopes of drinking water which I need more of to help with my migraines. However, I just took up drinking more sweet tea and lemonade. :p As for the name... it goes back many many moons ago to a night with wonderful friends 8)

    Thanks for being such a good sport through it all Brooke!! I was so glad when you igm'ed me laughing about me the spot I put you in! You are a dear friend! {{hugs}}

@pepsi ~I have to agree - the mystery farmer events drive me a bit crazy too! Unless I try to figure things out from the start, I get all confuzzled lol! Now, are you going to share the story about that night with your friends many moons ago?? (Or do we just have to make up a story for you??) ;)

Iced tea and lemonade sound like a good alternative to soda! I grew up during my summers drinking "sun tea" (Place tea bags in a glass container filled with water, and then in the morning set them in the sun to brew). I tried it early in my marriage but my dear hubby didn't like the taste that well, so I eventually stopped making it. Now with us moving a bit more south this summer, I might have to research tea types a bit more and try again... Do you have a special way you make your tea?

@Ariehl ~ I think we are all ready to "adopt you" ;D

We are still waiting to close on the house in Illinois that we have on offer on. However, it now seems like things are starting to happen... The seller's bank had an appraisal done on the house and is asking us for documents - which I'm taking for a good sign!! Once we have a closing date, we can start the process of moving. We will be traveling down to Illinois next Wednesday-Thursday for the inspection (a mere 8 hours drive one-way lol!) But on the positive, we should be able to got to church there on Wednesday and then on Thursday pursue some employment leads before heading back late that night.

I don't know if I ever said, but I did finish up my Child Development certification (and am fully certified as of April 24th!!)

I am also in process of getting a “paraprofessional ELS” (Educator’s Licence with a paraprofessional Stipulation) for Illinois in case I am unable to find a job working with preschoolers. This way, I can also work for the local schools (or be a substitute if need be!)
Since a school near the one we are moving to has closed our (soon-to-be) town is absorbing their students and staff. Therefore, most likely, best way to get my foot in the door might just be by substituting (teacher's helper/support staff). That way the teachers and schools there can get to know me. Then when a more steady opportunity presents itself, I'm not just some unknown person.
    :);)

I am also trying to figure out visiting my family out west this summer. (I am hoping to make it work!)

Aside from allergies and battling a lingering cough, things are well and I am excited for what the summer will bring! :D

So what is new with everyone else??

The details have been completely promised to stay back with that night. No one is allowed to reveal any details about any of that night. :music:

I have been drinking iced tea and lemonade. The only problem with those is that sometimes they have more sugar than soda. I'm working on just plain switching to water only. My taste buds just haven't gotten or maybe not read the memo yet.

I've made sun tea before as well. I needed to add a lot of sugar to it so I stopped drinking it.

Ahh, will respect your privacy then. :)

I've seen a coworker with a special cup-tumbler-water bottle before with a bottom compartment that can hold fruit. She brings quartered strawberries in it, crushes them and twists to mix them with water. That might be a possible alternative. (Minus the fancy cup lol). Also do you like lemon and mint? You can buy/grow your own mint (lots of varieties out there) and slice some lemon into a pitcher. Crush the mint, add the lemon slices and ice water for a refreshing drink with no sugar calories!
    :)

Not so much privacy as all the embarrassing stories those present that one time could tell. :music:  o_O Oh to be young again :pxD

I've seen those special water cups. Wondered if putting whole fruit into my water would really flavor it or not. I've done the mint and lemon before. Not too bad.

    Hi pepsi!

So you are saying that you don't want to share your embarrassing stories with us?? I'm sure I shared before how I killed my car's engine the first time I went cruising with my best friend - and how I walked into high school one day and was serenaded by a very embarrassing song!! (After getting spotlighted frantically trying to cross the stage in between scenes of a play due to a locked door between dressing rooms).
    :p:oops:

I was talking to my MIL about that cup, and she says cups like that are called infusers. It seemed interesting as the majority of the fruit stayed at the bottom, except maybe some bits of pulp that might have been able to float upwards??
