Yeah!! I was able to complete this quest. The type of breeding animals needed was just right, the power feed provided was needed big time, and the baby boom event was what allowed me to finish!! Great job with this event. Without the power feed I would have been sunk because I don't use money for the game and find it hard to produce enough power feed for quests on my own.

Thank you very much for a fun quest. I feel so good about being able to complete a it!!!!!

As being fairly new to this game I wanted to make a suggestion for quests/events. When an event/quest is posted for everyone stating "no special items needed" it should play out that way. This event was not geared to all players of the game even though the announcement of it did not make that clear. All levels of players can sink money into the game and IMHO they should not be excluded from any of the events/quests. Maybe in the future the events/quests could be run so that ALL FARMERS can enjoy and take part in it.

I like the game and I intend on hanging around and farming a bit, I would like to feel like no matter my level I am still considered part of the "farming community".

Dissappointed not to be able to participate at level 17, even though I can fill the first levels. I would like to get the prizes I CAN do!

Okay, I finished the event but only because I was one of the lucky ones that had most of the stuff asked for in the first place. Rewards were good enough to move on from there... If the situation would have been different I would probably not have participated as much.

I liked that this event did not include many hours of growing crops as I am quite busy right now and don't have all that much time to spare.

    Speaking of which...
Not only by introducing so many new exotic/rare animals but as well by asking for animals in events, the dev team keeps pushing the issue of more space.
Thank you for requesting low numbers, animals take a long time to grow and products even longer.
The market was dynamic and I just hope that not too many people have been excluded due to elevated prices (and there was time to raise the animals necessary, I doubt same applies for the products though).

Especially considering that the new stalls tend to take longer and longer times to produce just one animal. Shorter growing times and more orange stalls might be a temporary answer to the problem concerning the limited space.
If that makes market prices fall too low according to the dev team, they could just go ahead and ask for more animals again in an event and adjust the value this way.

Asking for crops would be less strenuous on the space as there is already CAC and PJ available that boost the productivity of the limited space available. That is why giving CAC's is not just a give-away in events but an essential part of the game. How about a florist or bakery product that gives +1 animal?

Thank you for the orange upgrade for the dog stall. That helps...
Unfortunately for me the orange dog stall just takes too long right now to be of real interest to me. I usually set up for the night when I am ready to go to bed... And then I am mostly using animals that run for 10 hours at the longest because I would like to be able to play in the morning again and set up my schedule for the day before doing my real life chores.

I am a faster player and like to adjust what I grow to my timetable. Stalls/trees that take a long time are just too boring to me to be interesting in the first place and they don't even give a valuable amount of EP to a long term player. I hate waiting... generally speaking I produce mostly stuff that takes 10 hours the longest when I have time to play. Everything else just clogs up my limited space and limits my pleasure of the game.

So an adjustment in the prices on the market was necessary as to making the game more profitable for animal farmers, but now they need some time to restock and that takes longer for animals than for most of the crops (and especially considering that a player needs 4 animals to breed in the first place and animals for workshops).

That is where balance comes in again.
If the requested amounts are too high or too often, people will get more and more upset about the limited space available.
And in that case they would be absolutely right: the player should be able to grow everything comfortably in the allotted time (animal events could go for 10 days instead of 7 maybe?).
The market will still adjust even when asking for a low number of animals, because of players that decide to rather buy animals/products instead of making them themselves and because some just want to finish straight away.

I would like to see events where low level players can do more.
For this event something more like just animals for silver. Animals and Products for gold. Animals and Products and breeders for Diamond.
This way a level 10 player could have completed all silver steps.
Otherwise I hope they were able to make some CC's by selling them on the market.

I know that events with Event Plants are important as well, because they are the ones that low level players would be able to play without exceptions. As soon as an In-Game Crop is part of an event, people will be limited according to their level.

So this is the reason for Event Plants from my point of view.
So if an event with special plants would be offered, I would like the dev team to consider that these could be easily geared towards lower level players.
Don't ask for amounts that are impossible to fulfill without CAC's (and/or give them as a reward early on).
Keep in mind that not all players have opened up all of the available spaces yet.
Adjust the drop rates, so that low level players without runes or many trophies have a chance to participate as well.
Please make Event Crops more valuable in EP's than their timely counterpart in the game. I used to just grow Event Crops as a newbie just because the EP's were good and then at the end I even got a little extra when they got exchanged.

Back in the day Farmerama offered quite a few events that would ask for event plants and for In-Game stuff at the same time. But in this case I strongly believe that the dev team did the Math for the requirements/time including all the other crops asked for even if they were already available before. Because back then I grew a lot more myself what was asked for and even sold extras after finishing the event.

not enough power feed and nobody sent me any for gifts this time,i used all mine on trying to breed these animals needed, will not finish the event at all, still lacking curly sheep, sailor duck and scaredy rabbit, only one power feed to my name and the mill is not producing quick enough,i thought when i opened up the rune on the wisdom tree a long time ago for the mill it would make faster, not here. anyway i guess i will be happy but i have nothing to show for this event,i even ran out of barnyard bills trying to buy party tickets to have a chance to win more power feed, big disappointment. :(

I am very sorry to hear that gretchn.

You might be interested in reading the thread "Last Candle Strategies".
The event is over, but some comments might really help with future breeding in general:
To get the most out of your breeding with limited PF, you would have to take the market into consideration...
If you are interested, I would advise to read the comments made by Aluntino. He is a market whizz and offers great advice and explanations concerning the dynamics of the market.

Please remember that the prizes mentioned in this kind of thread differ from market to market. They are just examples.
The general strategy applies to every market, one just has to apply it to the actual prizes and adjust it.

For me it was a great event as I already had all requirements I needed on this farm & nearly all on my other farm which didn't take long to get during BB. I was very happy with the rewards which I thought balanced out the requirements nicely. I really liked the fact there was no endless growing of crops required & even if I didn't have all animals required I'm sure I wouldn't have had to pull my farm apart to grow & breed them in the time allocated.

    Thanks BP :D
