The Lynx Hideout - Strategy Thread

Congrats to those who finished & good luck to those still working on it! I have 4 steps left & will be finished later today at some point. Currently milling as much lynx feed as I can to use up all the fish biscuits. Can't wait to get that CR up & running! So excited I got another giraffe range and my first red panda habitat from the chromium baha wonder stables!

 

Loving this new stable and another workshop! The lynx's are simply beautiful and I just love them!! How adorable!! Thank you everyone for the ideas! Almost done here!

 

I agree with Julie, the crop requirements for lynx feed is crazy high when milling it during the event, but since my mainland mill will be jammed up milling PF for the upcoming breeding event that using up my fish biscuits and a bunch of extra crops in my Baha mill now so I'll have at least a little bit of lynx feed already in the barn buys me some time and gives me some wiggle room as far as needing to mill lynx feed goes. (I plan on growing as many lynx as I can, straight thru until the next grow and throw event). This might not be the best choice/strategy for everyone... but it works for my farms because I really HATE stopping my PF production lol. Plus it may be a while until we see much lynx feed in the market .

Oh and... melon magic will help me stockpile more nettles after the crop becomes permanent, so IMO it's really not that bad of a sting for me to do some milling now.

Woo Hooo!! Finished!! CR up and running, Pawpops up and popping, and Lynx multiplying like mad! ...(...and I beat farmlily3 - Yahoo!! She taught me well! hahaha!!....But she's right on my heels! TeeHee!!)

AmySue52 does this to me all the time. It's my own fault though.
I start on this one and make mistakes then go there and do it right. Both farms here have CR up and running!!! It was Fun.

Thanks joan123! We give BP a lot of flak (no comment) so I'd like to encourage them to do more of the good stuff!!

I don’t need to jealous anymore...
I also win the +100% all harvest on wheel.
It is 24 hr....
It really make event go fast...
being a mix type farmer, won’t change even in event time..
But, still struggle should I clear more plot for nettle as the feed really eat crop

 

Finished yesterday - used a little more SG to get done sooner as feeling pretty tired from work. Still, one more day of getting up really early tomorrow then a couple of days off ... Wahoo!
I agree that this event has been a real pleasure in all respects. I will pop along to Feedback sometime soon.

I'm a little surprised it is not accessible to farmers under level 50. I made no attempt to get drops and, with over three days to go, I have 600 Fish Biscuits.

That's because they're bring the Lynx in as a "normal" animal not a "rare" type. Farmers will gain access at level 49 per FAQ. We should expect it will become a breeding animal sometime in 2018. [Possibly/maybe sooner than we think]

 

Seems a little unfair - we have had events in the past where we planted event crops that came at a later level and were waiting when we reached that level.
Oh well, there must be a cunning plan.

 

Waiting for the last 5 lynx to grow up and finish the event.

 

Finished yesterday using a mixture of PF and feed. Still growing nettles but went back to 2x2s to save on my harvest coupons. Making a bit more lynx feed with the fish biscuits, but trying not to use it all since the crop requirements for feed will be less later, I'm guessing.

I have completed this event yesterday. Now back to normal farming as i am unsure to grow stock of nettles in my barn as it bit boring lol as i prefer a quicker turnaround or more frequent Harvesting Shall wait and see happy with Cloud Row, plus got a giraffe too

 

Both my farms finished yesterday. I was excited to have my baby farm complete the event! A cloud row waiting when it finishes the FSQ for CR.
My strategy was to use PF for the event. The event was easy using PF. Didn't have to worry about drops that way. I am milling PF like crazy for breeding event coming up. I tore out my lynx stalls and workshops after I finished. I am trying to build up all the breeding animals. I just hope the lynx isn't needed for the breeding event.

I've finished too Congrats to all who did, and for those still working at Go go go, I'll have my fingres crossed for you. The PF shortcut made this a nice an easy event, so I finally finished the Garden Expo quest. Yay, Now I think I'll grow to stuck until next event. Then No Rest on The Farm

 

For some reason I am seldom allowed to post in the forums, so my helpful strategies don't get out there. For this event, it was to do the steps out of order, and go for the Oragnge Lynx stall early. Saved at least 76 drops and 1000 nettles by producing 2 Lynx with each feed, rather than just one.
