My strategy for this is rather simple. I'm going to collect drops until I have enough greenhouses built, then I'll turn them in all at once and focus on the crops.

I think of it as a backwards strategy from the normal growing strategy where we would grow first, then focus on drops after. In this case, it makes more sense to focus on drops first, then move to crops. 36 Greenhouses are what's needed, so that's the first goal. I will evaluate how much time is left and see if it is worthwhile to try for the extra 14 Greenhouses before starting crops. If not, I'll get my 36 and start crops.

    Good luck everyone!

No event crops to buy on my market yet (that I've seen anyway), and price of manure is down to 1.00 per unit o_O:wuerg:.

Decree...I don't think this strategy will work because you're going to need to play all 60 mini-games, if not MORE to get all the crops you need. I am rapidly coming to the conclusion that I will not have enough roses on either farm. On my other farm, I am very close to having played all 60 mini-games (thanks to greek guy and his tip/reminder about the breeding for more drops)...and I am still very short on roses even though I'm at donation step 52 - So even with the event plant bonuses, I'm coming up short due to the random nature of the herb crates.

I think this is why they have the crops sellable on the market - excess crops (maybe someone out there has more roses than they need?)...I know I have enough extra of the water berry to do the event all over again. So once I'm completely done with the event, I will sell my excess crops to help other players (cuz at the prices they are going for, I certainly won't do it to get rich).

So play mini-games very strategically - make sure you have a boatload of seeds to plant and SG and SSG ready to go when those buffs go active!

Edited to add: plus the fooling around to get the maximum number of crates - sometimes you get lucky and get the crates within one or two tries... sometimes it takes a while - my max so far is 25 tries (which on my system takes about 4 to 5 minutes).

    You discovered my secret. :wuerg:

Real life tried hard to dictate a mindless junks-event strategy.

I tried hard to fight against the mindless strategy and use some thought out Junker-approach. I vaguely remember a time when even the strategies of other Junkers were reviewed. No need!

When using the mindless junks-event strategy I have learned:
    • RL accomplishments and task completions are multiplied many many times. :D
    • junker event rewards fall slightly and most are received later anyway
    • peace of mind and enjoyment of the game increase dramatically

And from previous Junker experiences and many game accomplishments thereafter, I have learned to humbly, uncritically and sincerely say the following to the massive number of game-event junkers:

I wish you well and great fortune with whatever it is you are doing.

Congrats habalala, that was quick :D Did you follow your plan? And how many greenhouses did you need?

I'm awake again. Here's how I got to finish that fast.

At first I wanted to follow my plan, noticed the good drop rate and set out stalls and workshops on all 3 fields. I played around a bit with different base times but soon it was all neon and pink stalls. Using PF gave a good pase and drops kept comming, mill kept producing greenhouses. Soon enough I was heading towards 30 greenhouses and realised I had to tear down my fields to grow event crops and rebuild fields once done. Plus doing so FOUR times IF I followed my own plan. Somehow that didn't appeal and I decided to continue untill I had 31 greenhouses before hunting for crates and go planting. This would give +200% EP event crop bonus and +3 event crop.

Around 6 pm the infamous Farmwheel decided it was time to hand out +200% harvest bonus for 12 hrs… This was the plan and game changer. Most of my fields were set for a harvest 12 am. Nevertheless I started the search for 8 crates on each greenhouse I had. Doing that many in a row is very time consuming but well worth it.

Around 9pm I was able to free up some space on my fields and opened about 200 crates (25 games). This gave enough seeds to start growing event plants on some 1x2 plots which I nuked with SG, SSG, water and manure, using Fruitcake and White Innocence. By the time the first batch was ready I was at 31 games and got +3 on event crop. Each plot delivered 20 crops (5 base +10 harvest bonus + 2 SSG +3 event crop).

Till midnight more plots came available and while I kept milling greenhouses and continued to find crates, the event crops did build up. The planned harvest gave another boost in drops and I was able to mill up to 45 greenhouses. By now I also had 3/4 of the main fields available for (mainly) 1x2 plots.

Given the pawsome harvest numbers and super EP per plot I decided to delay bedtime .. good fun is worth something :)

I had to buy some extra SSG with Farm Coins to maintain the great numbers. No big deal, got plenty left.

I did the very last round of event crop planting after reaching 47 games played (another +3 event crop).
Exactly at 2:30 am I got everything I aimed for and posted here. It went way faster as I thought it would. Whoot whoot!

    47 games * 8 crates = 376 crates provided
    175 Prickly Fungus
    159 Water Berry
    202 Valley Roses

    Totals after growing
3340 Pricky Fungus (avg. harvest 19 per seed)
2876 Water Berry (avg. harvest 18 per seed)
3538 Valley Roses (avg. harvest 17.5 per seed)

Hmm.. seems I have some to sell.

Not sure if anyone has noticed but there is a Moonlight Mania event starting today! That's a nice surprise! :inlove:

Not quite sure how I am doing with the current event. I have played 25 games and am at level 32 on the crop donating side. Feel pretty confident that my strategy will work - not! By the way, I did change my strategy. Decided to plant the crops whenever I got them and just use one field. :p

    Have fun folks! ;)

Edit: Just spotted the Mini Event - must have looked at it yesterday and not looked at the whole post! Still, a nice surprise for me even if everybody else saw it yesterday! :music:

illy, I read the announcement yesterday and yet, was surprised to see the moon on my time circle.
Played 36 mini games, got the first CR and am working with the +2 boost today. Completed 47 tasks, 3 more for the second CR.
    Happy Farming Friends!! :music:

The other farm has the second cloud row (which is the one I'm really coveting - a spring wreath every 24 hours! :inlove:) wondering if the price in the markets will drop after this event? Probably not.

I'm still struggling a bit with this farm, but I'm pretty sure I'll get there - it's just going to take much longer. Got a +1 on the wheel today so that plus the event plant +2 bonus from playing the mini games should give a bit of help.

Oh yeah! AND I have set a new record on the other farm - 31 tries before I got the crates. 31...I'd quit counting, but then I couldn't harumph about it, right? I have discovered that refreshing the farm works sometimes, doesn't work other times, but at least you don't lose the mini-game - it just goes right back to it - so there is that.

I'm doing horrible, and to make matters even worse I went treasure hunting before bedtime. One of the rewards was the +1 for 8h. I think I have to accept the fact this event isn't for me this time.

and so life goes on :D

So sorry joan and Moraine...that the treasure has been so elusive for you.
If I haven't found the treasure in 4-5 tries, I exit and try again. I find if I start in the middle, a couple of rows down, I have better luck. Since I complained earlier about having a hard time with Valley Rose....now I'm swimming in them.:p LOLxDxD Broken glass is my nemisis. I never seem to have enough! I've filled my menageries with pink and neon pens.....hope that helps!

    Good luck everyone! :music:

Congrats habalala! :D Think you broke a couple of records there. :eek:xD

I've completed 69 out of 75 tasks and will be able to finish the remaining 6 in 1 hour and 30 mins. :music:

I was initially going to follow Mir's plan but the drop rate was so good on my farm that I ended up with enough drops for 65 games a little over 48 hours into the event. That got me wondering if there was a way to grow all the needed herbs without using any SG or SSG in the remaining 4 days. Did some math and figured it would only take me around 12 hours to grow enough herbs for all 75 tasks if everything went according to plan. Feeling confident that I would be able to recover even if everything went horribly wrong, I took Mir's strategy and modified it to suit my own needs.

    Here's what I did:
    • Played 46 games in approximately 45 mins
    • Opened all 368 crates and received 186 water berry, 156 valley rose, and 184 prickly fungus
    • Planted seeds with water and manure in the following order:
      • main field - 184 prickly fungus on 6 2x2s + 178 1x1s
      • green meadow - 156 valley rose on 15 2x2s + 1 1x2 + 140 1x1s
      • magical glade - 184 water berry on 184 1x1s
    • Waited until all 3 fields were ready to harvest before playing remaining 14 games in approximately 20 mins
    • Opened additional 110* crates and received 58 water berry, 52 valley rose, and 64 prickly fungus
    • Harvested all 3 fields after making sure all 4 event crop boosts were active
      • 2x2 --> 16 crops
      • 1x2 --> 14 crops
      • 1x1 --> 13 crops
    • Planted seeds again with water and manure in the following order:
      • magical glade - 30 water berry on 30 2x2s
      • green meadow - 42 valley rose on 42 2x2s
      • main field - 30 prickly fungus on 30 2x2s
    • Harvested water berry with 4-hour and 8-hour +3 event crop boosts still active (2x2 --> 13 crops)
    • Harvested valley rose and prickly fungus with 8 hour +3 event crop boost still active (2x2 --> 10 crops)
    * After playing the remaining 14 games, I should have received 112 crates but I got impatient and settled for 6 crates in the final game, hence only 110 crates.

    Games played: 60
    Crates opened: 478
Seeds rewarded: 244 water berry, 208 valley rose, 248 prickly fungus
Seeds used: 214 water berry, 198 valley rose, 214 prickly fungus
    Buffs used: CAC

Posting this a little early even though I'm still waiting on my final harvest of valley rose and prickly fungus.

EDIT: Finished! All 3 cloud rows are up and running. I think I'm going to keep growing event crops until my EP bonuses run out or I run out of seeds, whichever comes first. Good luck to those still working on the event!

    Well done zerodergrees :D

I'm just about to start on my plan now :)

    Edit: 46 games gave me:
    - Water berry: 219
    - Valley rose: 177
    - Prickly fungus: 188

Only need one more valley rose and 6 more prickly fungus, so the remaining games can be played with no canceling :D Was so boring to secure the 8 crates. If I were to do it again I would have waited another day, milled more greenhouses and played without canceling.

Planted water berry seeds with water and manure on 2x1. Will wait until ready to finish the greenhouses. Then sow the others with sg. Unforeseen complication: terror bouquet in gold slot means no fruit cake.

I didn't do well enough on the games so I have to make it up with more greenhouses to get the crops. I'm switching between growing crops and back to pens, with trees on one field, anybody notice bigger glass shard drops with trees? pens? workshops?
I got to 59 on the game and will save it (3+) for the last hurrah. I got a 200% harvest and a 100% ep on the wheel over the last day so it's a bonus otherwise I'd be doing just okay. I'll probably end up doing 70-75 greenhouses just to get the crops amounts. those cloud rows have very good returns so I'm sticking this out. glass shards are the concern.

Event completed, all according to plan :D

Only thing I regret is the long treasure hunt. With the good droprate I could have waited until I had 70-75 greenhouses and canceled the search after 4 digs instead of 2. That would have saved a lot of clicks and made the whole thing much more enjoyable. Apart from that, a great event with great prizes :inlove:

@saturnia22, I would recommend stalls/workshops over trees, since they give you both drops. With trees you would have to grow more crops to get the glue pots, and then in turn you have less time to get broken glass. With 59 games already played you are doing great :)

Hurray to all fellow farmers that made the finish as well.
Go go go to all fellow farmers that are still on their way to the finish. The rewards and CRs are worth your effort!

It just came to me, with event crops buyable at the market, providing you're able to buy enough crops for donation, one doesn't have to do all the drop collecting and treasure hunting at all to get the 2nd and 3rd CR..

By now I have enough leftover event crops for the market to help at least 1 player get them for just over a handfull of CC.. or should I wish for BP to add another donation round with 2 more CRs? :)

    Keep smiling as usual.

I have been collecting and milling the greenhouses so haven't started yet. I only have 28 of them yet. I had trees on one field, stables and trees on the other and crops on main field. I have since torn down most of the trees and have stables in their place. Right now I have 6 glue pots and 114 glass.
