The new approach was great - the complete randomness of the contents of the crates was NOT. and it NEVER should take over 10 clicks to find 1 crate. you multiply that by 75 tries - it is too too boring. you get tired of searching & therefore tired of the game. due to randomness of the contents of crates - I ended up buying 2 of the largest baskets to finish. yes I could sell the extras on the market but you shouldn't have to buy 2 of the largest of the baskets to complete an event. codyj#44475068

I really enjoyed this event but it should have been marked hard, maybe even hard / extra hard. It was nothing like the 'medium' events most of us breeze through without even noticing. Marking it hard would have given us more of a heads up. The event needed a good understanding of the game, fairly careful planning and access to plenty of buffs and super grow / suzie's super grow to finish. It was also much more difficult to work out well you were doing, compared to most events.

I liked that the event was more difficult than usual, and a new format. It's good to have a few hard events for the long term players as long as those events are marked hard and have good rewards - which this one did. I also liked not being able to replant harvested plants and being able to sell excess stock on the market. I ended up with a lot to sell.

I hope there's an event like this again.

I'm an avid event player and generally enjoy most events. This one for me was more negative then positive I'm afraid.
Although I was a bit more restricted on time to play due to work and RL, trying to get my head round a strategy for this one (or even other people's strategies) I struggled with. (Thanks for all those that sit and work them out!)
I usually enjoy a treasure hunt and I was grateful of a heads up of how to get more crates by coming out the game after a couple of tries and just keep trying to get the maximum amount of crates but that became very boring and time consuming rather quickly.
I hated the unpredictability of number of herbs given in the crates, it made trying to work out a strategy very difficult, especially when I had very little time to do everything required for the herb task bar by the time I had completed the main task bar.
I was hoping the market would help see me through to the end but on my market it was a total waste of time as the few crops I ever saw on it was sold straight away even though I tried buying several occasions but they were already sold even though I was frantically clicking on any I could. I wasted too much time on it near the end hoping I could grab a few to get me through and that really annoyed me, especially having to constantly flick between pages to see if anything new had come up. I ended up walking away from it before the event ended because it annoyed me so much!
I don't have a problem with unpredictability of reward crates in general, in fact I love getting crates...as rewards...NOT as a key feature to being able to finish the event or not and not having a clue how to time it all due to the unpredictability!
The second 2 CR's were great. I only managed to get the first 2 CR's and was not far off being able to get the third.
It's good to have games with different mechanics and more complex ideas but with back to back events, anyone who has to work for a living or does not want to be glued to their laptop for most of their valuable free time (which I often am!!), these events can take up a bit too much time and can cause brain drain when all you want is to wind down and have fun playing a game. I do however understand that it is our choice if to do the events or just do casual farming but I generally enjoy the extra aspect of the events and developed EOCD years ago lol.
