I have a question - I really don't expect an answer for... What is the point of all these colored tinctures we are given with the key?
The way the game is structured - you can only really use a few with your bulbs.

I started with MM - and used Supergrow and Suzys (Plus buffs of CAC, White Innocence and Fruit Cake) to build up my 10 little seeds until I had enough for the field area. Regular harvests with water and manure after. Been growing 4leaf clover and Ixora on the other fields to maximize drops. (Been refining the 4 Leaf Clovers). I had trees on the MM field and left them. I am done with MM and moving to Main next.
I have 5 seeds waiting for my 4-Leaf clovers to get done in about an hour.

Since I think I can get this event done in time - I will only use Supergrow and maybe Suzys for the first couple of harvests, so I can get my 5 little seeds to multiply a bit faster. Maybe I will get lucky and another 5 bulbs will drop in before I plant.

 

My theory is that the developers wanted to give each farm enough that whether or not we bought a basket, we would have plenty of colored tinctures. Just think of it this way - the left overs will get you a teensy bit more CCs and EP at the end of the event.

Now, as for players wondering what to do when they use the next key to open the next color section of the circle - your choices are use the 5 bulbs that the game has gifted you and start with 5 plants (you know what to do - 2x2s for the 5 seeds plus SG and SSG and go from there). OR buy a basket and start that color with those bulbs. This event is structured so that we can do it without spending money, but if you're impatient, spend money and buy a basket to get more bulbs.

That said, as you only get 5 additional bulbs if you've used the 5 bulbs the game previously gave you on the last "check" - I've been milling the bulbs in whatever color I'm currently needing. Why not? It's 5 more towards the totals needed for the event.

Do what you can, reap what rewards you can... or put out animal pens and sell manure - took a bit, but prices are finally on the rise.

Has anyone figured out the difference between the clover costing one flower bulb in the mill and the one costing ten? The last seems pointless to me but am I missing something?

Edit: Hey, I just had a brainwave! I think this might work:

Set the mill off for a long while and put your 5 bulbs on to mill. When the next lot are available, cancel the first lot and put on 10 to mill.

Not sure how it will work beyond 10 but I may experiment - I might be able to get enough seeds together to get the last lot of crops off to a good start.
Anyone see any flaws in my thinking here?

I have done the whole Event

Now focus on MM to Finish some MM Quests The other fields I use to make CC and work on normal Farm Quests

 

Just finished. Feel it was quite a leisurely event, apart from the nonsense getting the seeds in the first place.

 

Finished early this morning. I admit I was confuzzled at the start, since I didn't read the FAQ thoroughly and tried to begin while half asleep (not to self - again - : farming and sleeping don't mix ), but once I went back to bed for a bit, then re-read the instructions after coming fully awake, I finally got a start about 2/3 of the way thru the first day. Slow start aside, I started with baha, then went to the mainland, and finished with moonlight world. Got lucky and won 100% harvest boost on wheel with about half of mainland plants grown, so was able to finish there quickly and move on to MM. Weird sleep schedule allowed for maximum harvest usage of boost got me past 1/2 way point with purple plants, and was able to finish up leisurely. Now enjoying 2 days of free time on all fields.

Mooboy and Bhodo! How wonderful to see you again! It is indeed nice to see some farm elders (speaking only of experience, not age ) returning. I know there are others we haven't seen in ages that I often wonder how they're doing.
