Duration: 5 whole days + 2 half days
Difficulty: Easy Medium
Where: Main, Meadow, Glade, Bahama, Rainforest

Event Crop: Golden Root, 6h
Event Drop: Drinking Horn
Mill Item: Viking Broth, require 500 crop + 35 drop

The plot: Mill Viking Broth to play mini game. 40 mini games= Complete CR
The Mini Game: Guess the right axe - win Bonus Coins.
Bonus coin can be used in the event shop to buy stuff.

NB Note the CR itself only requires 33 Games, but then you would lack last giver. The last giver can be bought in the event shop. (and/or probably traded in a give&Trade event later) Or you can do 7 more mini games and gain it that way ofc.

Total requirements
For 40 games: 19 500 Crop + 1 365 Drop
For 33 games: 16 000 Crop + 1 120 Drop

Thanks for the start! A tiny comment on the the totals provided:

Note: Each player will receive 1 Viking Broth at start of Event to try out the mini game.
(35 less drinking horns, 500 less golden root and 5 mins less milling time needed).


I advice everyone who's new to Ingrid and her axes to read a previous strategy thread.
The very first post contains links to even earlier threads with loads of info on how to pick your perfect axe!
Edit: too bad not all pictures in old threads do load anymore. Still there's good info to be found.


The Event Crop compared to regular crops shows it's best to grow on Mainland!

Mainland
Event Crop (6 hrs) - 60 EP
Pumpkin (5:58 hrs) - 36 EP

Bahamarama
Event Crop (6 hrs) - 60 TEP
Bell Pepper (6 hrs) - 84 TEP

Event crop = 6 hrs
Event crop + water = 4:48 hrs
Event crop + water + manure = 4:19 hrs
Event crop + water + manure + Super Grow = 1:44 hrs

The use of White Innocence and Fruit Cake Buffs combined with the use of SG will reduce the grow time to 1:05 hour.

The EP/TEP from the event plant can be boosted with
- Event Plant EP Booster (+100% - 8hrs)
- Cheese Mystery CR (+40% - 12hrs)
- For Science! CR (+25% - 4hrs).

I'll prepare my fields as usual with as many 1x1 plots as possible filled with the longest growing time crops I have a use for. During the event I think I'll grow long timed crops on BAHA (more drops!) -or I'll go for high priced parrot poo- and do Event crops on Mainland only. Might change.. depends on drop rate

I'll keep glade with pens, and I think I'll do event crop 24/7 on Bahama until I'm bored. Doubt drop will be an issue. It's rated easy medium, so I'm optimistic. I need to grow some long time crop on main, so will only do event crop during day there.

 

Hi Moraine, I think I have spotted a slight discrepancy. This is a rarity for me to spot something so it might be me who is off.

Below, I have copied (still don't know how to do the quote thingy) what you said about the CR. You imply that we can not win the last giver - the Viking Sauna.

The chart on the bottom from Ingrid's FAQ shows that we can win the Viking Sauna at the 40th mini-game.

I said further up that the a complete CR required 40 games. I can spell it out more clearly tho, if you didn't catch it, more people will miss it

one week cool down time on the cloud row...but, if we can time it right with the other +1 veggie cloud row, then we might be "cooking with gas".

I've left the rainforest field in nothing but 1x1s...now I'm really glad I did.

 

I have bookmarked most rows, but not the flower, chestnut and MM row, I think perhaps this one too will be one of the unboomarked ones. Unbookmarked ?

I just put all my butterflies back out before I saw the faqs and this thread so I might just try and grow event crop on my bahas see how far I can get I don't really care about the CR but I wouldn't mind getting some of the misc. goodies ect ... good luck to those going for it thank you moraine for starting this thread and everyone who has helped with strategies

 

Why hide Ingrid's animation and grunt with a button?... that's the best part of the Viking Saga !!!

 

I planted trees that are new or low in my barn on Baha so that field is staying as is. Some butterflies and birch and willow trees in my glade ( some critter needs Birch for feed) Looking forward to this and hope we get to hear something from Ingrid!! I find it very amusing and it makes me smile and/or laugh Hears hoping the best to everyone!! We had really bad winds today that knocked out my electric for a while I should've listened to my good neighbor desi and set my fields up earlier than I did. I may be an hour or 2 behind starting but that's ok

Will do what I can of this event but as family are coming this weekend I don't expect to finish.
Reminder to newer players to start game as soon as you can as it can take quite a while to complete each throwing part.

 

Can someone tell me where I will find the golden root ...because I cannot seem to find it any where on my farm please ?
