I missed you, too!!!!

One of the best parts of Hatzeva's trip to see me is that she wanted to take photos of the Cereal Isles of our American grocery stores. Apparently, this is a thing with her friends that they like to do whenever the go on an international trip.

I made sure she saw a wide variety of stores - both the healthy stores like Trader Joe's which is my favorite and the volume stores like Costco. I'm not a member of Costco so we had to pretend that we were interested in joining so we could take a tour. I had to keep coming up with fake questions until he got called away. We were left alone which let us take the photos.

I think Hatzeva won amongst her friends for having the photo with the most gluttons stock of cereal.

So the mods don't get after me for being off topic, I was able to buy all the eerie trees. I am only 10 coins away from buying the regular trees. I LOVE Ingrid, but I think I love Hatzeva more.

12 games left to play. I can't seem to get the first 2 bull's eye As a matter of fact, I don't seem to be able to get too many bull's eyes this time around. Mostly getting 40 coins or so it seems. Glad people seem to be having fun though

 

This event is 6 days long *24= 144h /2= 72h. As usual I missed the first few hours due to my unreasonable insistence on sleeping at night.

My status...
Farm 1: 1463 SC / 29 games = 50.45 SC per game, still working on first try bull's eye
Farm 2: 1379 SC / 28 games = 49.25 SC per game, have all 5 check marks for bull's eyes
Farm 3: 1453 SC / 28 games = 51.89 SC per game, have all 5 check marks for bull's eyes

Looks like I'm in excellent shape to finish entire event. As usual I have not bought any baskets, etc. I've been getting, on average, 3 broths per harvest. On one farm I ran out of drops yesterday, on another crops.
I've been using the three main fields for event crops during the day, longer crops overnight. Been working on some timed challenges or... nothing on the tropical fields.

 

Oh those darned timed quests, Suzee!

I thought I had them done and dusted, got very excited and went out and bought Norfolk Pine Cones at a most exorbitant price - only to find it was a timed quest and I haven't got the tree!

I think I am okay to finish with my last harvest on Wednesday - yes cutting it fine but that's the fun of it. I will have already got the CR and could buy the last EP item at a push. Or I could buckle on the penultimate day and plant the event plant in the main fields just to make sure. I am pretty confident that I will get enough drops - currently only need 324 to complete the 40 games.

I've been doing a few other FSQs - got bored and depleted my stock but inflated my CC balance after I splashed out on animals and products to finish other FSQs. Getting dizzy going round in circles here!

Because I am not doing this event I don't need any drops, don't send me anything send to the players who need them

 

And on the 33d throw I hit a Bullseye on the first shot and my CR is up and running.

 

Sneaking into Costco in the US is no easy task I can tell you! The very persistent guard followed, and told us fondly of all benefits to be had as members. I tried to explain that a garden furniture set at $ 0.99 was a great bargain but a bit tricky to get on the plane. As sglick said finally we were left alone and I could take my award wining photos. A cereal aisle to die for!! HUGE.

Still behind with drops, missing some 680 to match my crops but Ingrid is so generous I'm willing to part with quite a few SG to have them match. Insta-finish crops, I love you!

 

Am finding the drops are not that great in this event

 

My drops stand on 1028 at the moment so I'm sure I'll make it with the drops. I'm only using 2 fields for crops however and currently stand on 10853. (1x1 with CaC)

I will make the CR, but not so sure about the last giver item . That's still easy enough to fix, just rip up another field and plant crops but I'll see where I stand tomorrow and do some math to see what's necessary

@Brakenjan84... don't forget you can buy the 4th giver with your coins in the event shop, just in case you can't complete the 40 games (if you haven't spent them as you won them).

Haven't played any games yet except for the free one (haven't even milled the item yet), so that's one goal to strive for, thanks!! I'll probably still try for the full 40 games needed so that I can spend the coins on other things but it is at least an option.

 

I am so happy! I just got the Viking Sauna. I was able to buy everything I wanted (all GBs, all trees & all animals) along with all the wheel tickets. Yippee-dippy-do-daw!!!

I am also having a very good productive day in RL. I'm re-edited the 1st section of my book. I think I have cleaned this 1st section up as best as I can. I will need to find an editor to help me take it to the next level.

Until I can find an editor, I will start cleaning up the next 3 sections while I continue to paint the paintings for the last section.

I have also been working on my current painting this morning. I'm doing some tedious "cleaning up" work to make the edges of the Heart-Peace sign look clean & crisp.

Yea! Today is a happy day!

Yes I'm having a very happy day too! Not that I'm writing a book, can't wait for yours though sglick!! Nor that this is the first day without wearing long johns in many months.

I'm happy because so many wonderful friends sent me drinking horns especially from their 2nd, 3rd farms. Thank you so very much!

 

Happy to see so many people are having a "Happy Day"! for whatever reason! I have done 42 games and I have the CR up and running! I have shopped till I dropped in the Viking store but will grow a few more crops as I slowly go back to regular farming! For me this has been a fun event, Congratulations to all who have achieved their goals! Good Luck to all who are still working at it! you can get it done!

 

Well RL did take me away from the farm this weekend. Volunteering is so rewarding though! I had a blast!
Sorry neighbors if you didn't get your gifts over the weekend. I had puffin and a not so reliable hotel internet.

Good news - One farm has CR! Yeah! The other is waiting to harvest drops. It only needs 4 more throws to get CR and can buy the last giver from the shop if needed. So happy this event was doable without being able to farm all weekend. Ingrid is great!

 

6 more mini games to reach 40, confident I'll make it with no problems (unless internet goes wonky, which it's been known to do at crucial points in events ). CR's up and running as bought last giver in viking shop for trading material, so I should be able to regain that, and have gotten the majority of the items I want from the miscellaneous items in the shop. Still haven't managed to get Ingrid in that beautiful green outfit here on spots (missed it by that much), tho bear and mini me both have it , so will keep trying. Think I'll put my bears and butterflies back out after CAC runs out rather than use another, it's getting so expensive, both to buy and to make . Glad to see so many enjoying the event.

 

Finished event last night but still haven't gotten a bulls eye for first 2 throws Maybe if I just accept the fact that I won't get them that will be the moment I DO get them! Congrats to all!!

 

2 more minigames and I've reached the CR today I'll probably be able to reach 40 games by tomorrow, but I've already bought up all the 4 viking saunas, 50 stars and 20 GB. Hit the bulls eye most of the times even on first try a few times and got 50 coins pretty much every time, if not more cause of the bonus coins I think this must be one of my favorite mini games, cause it's simple and you actually earn a lot of event coin to buy the rare items. The only thing that's a bit challenging is balancing the event drops with the crops, cause these crops are absolutely terrible drop givers, but I figured it out using better crops and trees.

Thinking of maybe trading in a couple viking saunas for some items I want whenever a trading event comes up. Don't really see the point in getting any of the wonder trees or stables as I already have all the special trees and stables in my inventory. I get SG and PF all the time doing quests, so don't really see the point in spending my hard earned event coins on those either. I think maybe I'll get the 5 pack of GB even though it's kinda expensive, those are kind of hard to get by and the coupon probably. If I have any coins left at the end of the event, maybe I'll get myself a sticker as well Really hope BP brings back the viking saga event in the future.

 

My other farm got to 40 games. I am at 35, so I knuckled under and bought the 2x2 giver to complete the stalk row. So I'm done and back to 'regular' farming for now. Skipping the fruit market event...not giving up all my fruits!
