Timer Issue Clarification

The original thread is closed so I can't address the issues raised there.

Just to clarify:
Moonlight Mania was in progress I thought it was obvious that I was talking about Killer Tomatoes. These were planted last minute because I had the time left on the harvester and why not use it?
The harvester issue is somewhat different. When I am short on drops close to the end of an event (last day-sometimes longer) I will check my event timer to see the amount of time left and then decide what is the crop that I can plant in that amount of time to give the best results for drops.

For example:
If there are 10 hours left I start with the 10 hour crops and look at those a little higher in time. Maybe 12 or 13 hr crops because the time decreases when you add water, manure, etc. I then decide if I will stick with the same size field, use manure, SG, etc. After this is all done I plant one to make sure that the time for harvesting is less than the time for the event to end. There was one time when I was actually within minutes of event ending and crop harvesting but the other times I am talking about were around 15-45 mins. So I think regardless of how big the event timer is my crops should have harvested well within the allotted time.

Thank you for your response. Even though I stated that thread could be closed; I suggest that if questions are raised in the response that time be allowed for a player to answer them before closing the thread.
