To anyone with a magic tree....

I'm considering saving up to get one through Shop-O-Rama or Tree of Wisdom....but they are very expensive.

Do you think yours has improved your ability to complete events through the extra drops offered?

And I just wanted to make sure, there is no drop between events, correct? Just EP?

I think you are right, I think it is just EP between events. I guess in the larger scheme of things they are not much help. But, I have missed completing an event before by just a few drops, so my plan is to attack drops by as many avenues as possible. I have one through the shop-o-rama and plan to donate stars for one through the tree of wisdom. Hope this helps.

 

You're right vinks99, there is no drop between events, just EP. I got one through the Shop-O-Rama only because I liked the look of it and it was something different to have on the farm. It's handy having the extra drop each day but I don't think it really makes a huge difference, unless you were one drop short at the end of an event and the tree was ready to harvest.

 

I'm an ancient player and was fortunate to get 10 of them when they where buyable through a wonder tree event. Plus, I have gotten the an 11th one from the tree so for me it does make a difference. The difference has to do with my impatience.

My stance on the whole drop issue boils down with patience, because once we hit a "certain level" we will start to consistently finish events (except when RL throws a curveball). Each player's "certain level" is different based on many factors: time available to farm, how much RM they can spend, and then there is the "smart factor". I personally have not always followed the smart advice, because doing the smart stuff drove me krazy.

With all this said, my advice on making your decision to get a Magic tree or not is 1st evaluate how consistently you are doing with events? Are you missing completing events by 1 or 2 drops a day? How is your patience level? Is finishing ASAP important to you so you can go back to regular farming? Do you need the resources for buying the Magic tree needed for other goodies?

Good Luck decision making??? Decision making (IMHO) is the foundation for why this game is so addictive.

 

I have 21 Magic trees from wonder tree events too and yes they helps a lot for drops.

 

Sometimes during a 5-6 day event, those 5-6 drops from the magic tree could make or break getting the CR. Neighbors don't always gift... the tree takes care of 1 neighbor that didn't or couldn't gift/return a gift. Plus, even tho it's been downplayed they do also give decent EP or TEP as well, especially if you have buffs running to maximize what the trees give. Every bit helps, be it drops or EP/TEP. I wish I had 50 of them lol.
