Tractor Racing Strategy Thread

Farhana: a Tiki Timer is a buff that speeds up Bahamarama vegetation by 20% for six hours. They are the produce of the Carousel Music Box and I think they can be gifted. Not many people have this Music Box so there may be other ways to get Tiki Timers that I can't remember offhand.

On (my) Day 3, I need 136 Turbolines and 100 on Chevrefeuille to finish Race 3. As I couldn't start till Wednesday morning, I think I am "on track" to finish without the need to mill any of the super duper stuff! I have a last minute plan if I feel I am going to fall short. I have my Rose refinements all set up to go ... but I am hoping that it won't be necessary.

My experiment between trees and animals is showing that trees give more drops but not so frequently (obviously if they are speeded up with Mulch or if I stayed up later to harvest again, the result might differ) but animal pens are more forthcoming with drops overall during my normal farming day.

 

With the holiday here in the US today I feel like I'm far behind on this event. I've finished two races and am about half way into the 3rd, I'm only using the turbolines though so hopefully that's not to bad.

However I did just get a PINK chameleon stable from the free stables. Woo Hoo!!!

@LDCrow, Happy Thanksgiving and congrats on your Pink pen!! I too am a little behind from the holiday but will start race#4 after tomorrow's big harvest.

 

i finished race one and will finish race two here in a few moments. I dont know if I can do much more. Dismal drops for this and I've changed strategies a couple times and am doing long crops at night on main and event crop on baha and milling some fuel. I've lost three neighbors and this has made a big impact on me on my emotional state. Yes, silly me.... I get attached to friends and even though this is a game... we are all real people playing it. Good luck to those still racing on.... I will continue to do whatever I can accomplish.

ps.... I hope those of you who celebrated Thanksgiving, had a marvelous holiday filled with gratitude, love and the warmth of friends and family.

 

alrighty I'm onto race number 5 .... I have switched between carnations (for large drop numbers) and the event plants .... it seems to be working for me .... i should get done at this rate i would hope ..... (i got a late start on this one also about 8 hours behind you guys )

I'm racing #5. I had to pull most of my trees, they were just not working for me. I've been using refined crops... crop squares, onions, raspberries. Whatever my time has allowed.
The little farm is struggling, has just finished race #2. But it doesn't have very full trophies so will take whatever I get there.

I've pretty much given up on finishing the entire thing, so I'm now going for the prizes I really want. I'm after the golden bananas in Race 4, and as soon as I snatch them, I'll work on completing what races I can. Race 2 is nearly there, so I can probably count on that, and maybe Race 3. I'm happy with all of the little 'inbetween' prizes, though, so a good event for me.

The Cloud row is "just" 1008 turbolines needed for the ones who decided not to grow any event plants.

That is to say that for all the farmers who are struggling to get the drops, if you reach the 1008 milestone (a bit less if you are already growing event plants and mill the premium or bio-fuel), nothing is lost. You can still win the CR (and the items which were already won in the previous races).

Good luck to all in getting at least the CR!!!! (crossing fingers)

P.S.: If that was already mentioned in a previous post, I'm sorry for repeating. Believe me, it was not intentional.

 

Company gone - back to farming! The small amount of milling I did has put me in a good spot - will be starting on race 4 shortly.

I have been gone almost 2 days due to family visiting from out of town. Just wanted to stop by and say 'thank you' to those wonderful friends and neighbors who have sent gifts. They are most appreciated. I have completed race 2 on both farms and have enough drops left to make a good size dent in race 3. I am not certain I can catch up to finish all of race 5 (I can on pnp with the carnations refinements but probably not on BW) but I think now that I can log in again that I will be able to do as Arq has suggested and get the cloud row but maybe not the 2nd set of givers.

Pnp was covered in trees. BW covered in trees and comfort fields.

Congrats LDCrow. I am so glad I decided to play on the greenhouse as I've been using refined crops too - doing wonders for my quantities of long term crops. Going well here; just finished race four and no having to grow junks.

 

I've not checked in for a few days due to the holiday and family commitments so I'm really behind. First congrat's LDCrow what a fantastic stable to get! Second why is there a baby boom? Did I miss something? I'm so confused....

 

I only noticed that this morning as well Clashstrummer. I'm not going to bother with it. The tractor racing is enough to worry about.

 

Just an added bonus...is all I can tell Clash. Maybe for those who finished the tractor event early.
I am breeding...and getting fairly good skips on doggies.

Don't worry about the breeding... it doesn't bring any Turboline drops.
