unable to unlock edelweiss

i have more than enough starts to open the rune to edelweiss from the tree of wisdom or the park experience but it will not let me. i looked through the FAQ for the tree of wisdom but it does not include instructions to edelweiss. any help is appreciated.

Have you ensured you have opened any previous adjoining runes first? If you have and still are encountering troubles, please post in Tech with your user ID# so your account can be checked.

so i have to open everything else on that branch first? that isn't anywhere in the FAQ's

 

Yes. When you open a rune its contours will become golden and this will let you open the runes that touch the one you've just opened. You do not need to buy all steps that are in a rune to move farther tho: for exemple the runes that raise the amount of water and manure of you farm, you can just buy one of the steps therein and after that open runes above them. Some of the runes have multiple steps, others don't. Once you've fully opened a rune you'll see the center turn green with the gold boarder.

My used star count is at 30505, that's how much stars you need to open everything. There's only one rune that can be activated more than once: the Farm Vacation (the one just bellow the birds' nest).
