upgrading workshop after feeding

From a December tech announcement, I vaguely recalled this (though I'd forgotten it was classed as a bug):

I just acquired a yellow bikini workshop, upgraded an existing bikini workshop that had already been fed, but it does not appear to have ended up fed (even after at least 10 minutes).

Can you confirm that the December change explicitly affects only stables, not workshops? And if so, can you advise if there's any intent to make it consistent one way or another? If the behaviour is now different between stables and workshops, that seems regrettably confusing.

[Later] I checked again about 30 mins later and it was showing as fed and working, but had reverted back to a plain workshop. So I logged out and back in, and it's back to yellow workshop unfed. Switched to this tab to edit my post, switched back and again it's a fed plain workshop. I'm even more confused.

Hello Huzx,

The December change includes workshops as well. Can you try clearing your browser cache and cookies and also clearing the Flash cache to help if that resolves your display issues.

I'm not sure if you can: it continues to be odd, I tried clearing cookies and both caches; it is now back as initially with the yellow workshop unfed, but during the process (I think after clearing flash cache and cookies, but before clearing browser cache) it again flipped back to a plain fed workshop (with about 4h left to go, same as the untouched one next to it), so it seems there's still some awareness in the system that there was a fed workshop there before upgrading.

Initially I had two plain bikini workshops, and both were fed at the same time; the untouched one still has about 3h to go now, so i'll let it complete. If the upgraded one hasn't progressed by then, i'll give up and feed both of them at that point.

[Later] Nothing changed, the other workshops completed, but the upgraded one stayed unfed. I've fed it now, please consider this a bug report.

Thank you for all these details - I have tested this under all multiple circumstances (different workshops, placing upgrades manually and with the builder, using feed and power feed) and here is what I have noticed: I can indeed confirm the bug is general, and the workshops do not remain fed upon placing an upgrade on them, however, the feed (power feed or animal feed) as well as the water used is returned to your inventory, but not the animals.

As soon as the fix is synced for this matter, we will add a note about it in the updates / bugfixes / improvements announcements. Thank you for your patience during this process.
