In the English language FAQs many tables are images. Please use text tables rather than images. This would greatly help in searching for information.

My suggestion would be use both, many on this forum have come from other languages, Sweden is a new example. If the tables are in both someone that is a native speaker of English can easily look for Buddha's Hand, if from somewhere else, the name could be completely different and the picture is the same in all languages.

Baw, the images Reba is talking about are not of for instance items, but of tables. See for instance the FQA for the MM event, eerie step in time. The tables with the requirements and rewards are actually three images. That means one cannot use the search function to find anything in those tables.

There is a definite down side to not being able to search the tables (this is of course more so in the game FQA then event FQA). On the other hand though, the tables in this forum are not very good. In the DE forum they use tables instead of images, the tables take up so much space vertically it is often hard to get an overview. Tables also scale very badly on mobile devices. On my phone I will usually only see parts of the table :( All things considered I therefore prefer the images used.

Mir, if I understand you correctly, someone typed up the info in tabular format, took a screenshot, then uploaded the screenshot as the tables for the FAQ? Why oh why didn't they just use the actual table? Someone had to type it in English. I don't get it. :p

I don't know the details of how and why and what for (I suspect it has to do with what kind of tables the forum software supports), but they are images all right. If you right click them (on a PC) you'll get the option, among other things, to download the image. You can also test the search function, forum or browser, and you'll see they don't pick up any of the text in the tables.

RebaFC indeed it would be a great help! And we could also calculate the requirements we need for events so easily if we just could copy and paste the numbers to add them all, instead of typing them one by one to the calculator.
