Valentine's Day 2025

This is an event that is played on the Event playfield.

Forget about the confusing FAQ, the event itself is quite straightforward after you understand how the event works.

Here are the components of the event:

Secret Message 70 x Kelp + 8 x Heartstones = 1 x Secret Message Upgrades the Tentacles by 1	Fancy Quill 35 x Kelp + 4 x Heartstones = 1 x Fancy Quill Each Fancy Quill applied to a tentacle, reduces the auto production timer by 1 hour.

STEP 1: open up more space on the Event Playfield

Grow 336 Red Corals
Grow/Have 1000 Roses (Main field crop for the last land section)

There's 7 land sections to open with Red Corals and Roses. Each new section that is opened will activate 1 tentacle. Players will start with 1 active tentacle at the beginning of the event.

STEP 2: upgrade the 8 tentacles

Grow 1680 Kelps
Have 192 Heartstones
Make 24 Secret Messages in the market and donate to tentacles (3 each)

Upgrades tentacles grant more points towards getting the Cloud row
Tentacles start at level 1 and will grant 1 point, getting them to level 3 and each tentacle will give 3 points each time it's harvested
The goal is to get 255 points to get the cloud row - 290 points needed to complete the event

Step 3: make Fancy Quills to harvest faster to reduce harvest time of tentacle by 1h

Grow Kelps as much as you can
Get as many Fancy Quills as you can in the market to lower harvest time of tentacles

You might want to have 8 Fancy Quills to use on the 8 tentacles at one time to keep all tentacles harvest times the same. No mention if using 4 Fancy Quills will make 1 tentacle harvestable instantly or not.

A random prize will be awarded each time a tentacle is harvested. The prize list is quite big, it ranges from EP, TEP, CCs, Octopuses' animals/stall/stall upgrades, Super-Grow, Suzy's Super-Grow, Turbo-Mulch, Party Tickets, Wonder Stables/Trees and even a chance to get other copies of the event givers!

To get more drops from the event, it might be better to use a mixture of 2x2, 1x2 and 1x1 farm plots. Not sure if this is the correct way to do it, but to open up more space players should start growing the Red Coral crops that way.

There's no amount of Kelp event crops that I can list because it all depends on the available time players have to harvest tentacles.

There is only 24 small plots to start. Hopefully we can make many big plots for those 5+5 seeds. It is so slow to start with them without any boosts.

 

I do not like the fact that the Kelp event crop growth time is 6h, using water + manure will make it 4h20 for harvest when tentacles have a 4h harvest time.

It makes no difference what size plot you use during the event*, you still get the same amount of crops. You will just need more water and manure. What is important is that you can only get drops from the Event field so the more plots the better.

* -Päärynä11 is quite right, in the beginning, with fewer seeds, you get more return with bigger plots! Apologies if I have mislead anybody.

Nordais, I wish the crops were the same, it would be so much easier especially as the timing for the timer would be almost the same.

I'm in. I'm not sure if I'm doing this one on all the farms or some of the farms. I'm leaning towards some of the farms. I'll figure it out today.

The good news is that at least for the moment, we can plant whatever we want (unless you're short on roses) on the main fields.

Oh yeah - is it 1000 roses per section (in other words, 8000 roses total for the event)? Maybe I better plant roses on all the farms today.

 

Thanks Northy for starting thread and for sharing with us! I am in and will attempt to do complete event As everyone knows I am not a fan of this Event field as I LOVE my CAC and buffs and I like to be in control on how fast or slow I do an event! Giving up a regular land for me is no big deal waiting for paint to dry on event field is (for me)!

It's just 1000 roses for the last land section - made the correction!

 

In the beginning you won't get same amount. The size matters there. Using 5 seeds on 2x2 fields you get 20 seeds, using 1x1 fields you'll get only 10 seeds. It is always better to start with large fields, when there is limited number of seeds.

 

Quite right, I was working in auto pilot and didn't do the sums before posting. I have updated my post now to avoid confusion.

 

Where we put those tentacles? There is Kelp and Hearthstones to MILL products but why TENTACLES?

 

As far as I can see, as you open up each piece of land, a Tentacle will be unlocked. I don't think we need to mill anything, just have enough of the goods required to make a Secret Message or Quill.

 

How do we collect those loottables? It looks like one tentacle is ready (red ! and timer is green), but I do not any idea, how to collect it

 

Just click on the red "!" in a circle, that will collect it. It will also give you 1 point towards the 255 points we need for the cloud row. You can see your points' progress by clicking on the the gift icon that'S on the octopus itself.

The market to craft the secret messages and fancy quills is actually the crab just beside the mill.

 

Now I managed to do it, after I changed game settings. If I have Show info box on mouse cursor, I can't collect it.

 

Reminder there does seem to be and Event gift of Heartstones that we can give to our neighbors!
I did not see this info in the faqs!

 

Dear friends, please don't send me drops. I am not even going to look at the event field - even though it's my preferred field for events. Too much to do in RL and I can't be distracted.

It's about math again when I'm speaking, has anyone calculated, it can be calculated, is it worth:

1) first open more and how many areas?

2) update the tentacles?

because

3) Kelppia goes for updates and areas are opened again with those "basic plants".

So what to do first, when you never get 290 points with one-point tentacles, that's a clear thing now

 

wow, this one looks tough for the time we have to complete it.

I gather we need to unlock all 8 tentacles, then "harvest" them roughly 35 times to get the cloud row and they take 4 hours to recharge.

so that is 35 x 4h = 140 hours.

And that does not include growing the 336 red corals to start this event which take 4 hours to grow. My timer is at 145 hours left already. So I have 5 hours to grow the 6 crops of red corals I need to start which take 4 hour each so that's 24 hours. Then 140 hours to harvest the tentacles and complete this in 145 hours. Not taking into account I need to somehow sleep in between.

Somehow this seems like a lost cause. Ah wait we have quills to speed up the recharge. Ok I see I will have to work out a strategy and see how to do this best. Any tips welcome.

 

ı think that we should open two aeras at least and we plant crops and then we should give them for completing secret messages . after we should take Fancy Quill for shorting time. am ı right
