Once all the tentacles are upgraded to level 3, you get 24 points every round of collecting, after that you can use feathers to speed up the process of getting additional points.
I don't buy event baskets, but this time I even got a night alarm a couple of times so I could get the event started quickly.
The options on the event field are otherwise limited. Only the familiar alarm clock from the early years helps.

 

IpsiDei is right - and that's my current strategy as well. I have all 8 tentacles upgraded once on this farm, all 8 are upgraded twice on SL's farm.

I got up in the night at 2 a.m. and harvested. I should have gotten up at 6 a.m. and harvested again, but I slept through that one. Darn it.

I have upgraded three tentacles to the highest level. I keep upgrading one to the highest level before I upgrade next one. I did not get up to farm at night, but it was rather late last night, when I went to sleep I did not do any math, I just grew some kelp with corals. I have 18 left over corals.

One harvest of 185 kelps will make it possible to craft 2 Secret Messages. Use those 2 Secret Messages to upgrade to level 2 one tentacle. The second harvest of 185 kelps and the rest of the first harvest will make it possible to craft 3 Secret Messages, use those 3 to upgrade to level 3 a second tentacle. Keep repeating until all tentacles are upgraded.

 

4 Tentacles full upgraded, 75 games, not know but I THINK that is right to do and get me 100% (=290 games)... Wake up 1 time between 02am-06am local, before that about 22pm and after 10am and about 14pm and 18pm and again 22pm 5 times per 24h and then 4 times and then 5 times... and so on...

 

Important News
I have found that even if a tentacle is ready to harvest, I can harvest my kelp, visit the crab, craft secret messages and upgrade the tentacle - Then harvest ! This turns a 1 point into a two or three!​

All 8 tentacles fully up-graded I am at 199/290

 

This farm got the last 2 tentacles fully upgraded this morning! Now we're cookin' with gas!

Still growing kelp - an hour less is an hour less, so now I will make the quills and use them.

I have timers set - one for the kelp. One for this farm (started at four hours) for the tentacles and one for SL's farm for the tentacles with quills applied at 3 hours. Ugh. Just trying to keep it all straight!

Put out your givers - nice little 1x1's that give lots of goodies!

 

I opened the cloud row, but in order to place the items, you must first put them in the field and get the rewards, do not forget to place the items you have earned in the field.

 

I have Missed Harvest "many hours" about 3 times, but 250/290 is my games now so 20.25PM local and 00.45AM and I´m ready Not so difficult than looks/thinking...

 

Congratulations on getting the stalk! And reminding us that the givers are + and need to be put out before putting on CR. I have the 1x1's out and I am waiting to finish harvesting them Good luck we are almost there I am at 271/290

Hi, someone knows if we can continue to harvest the tentacles after we complete the 290 games? Just wondering if I shoud use the fancy quills of not...

I'll grow plants and collect rewards until the end.
Now 310/290 so YES you can continue.

Where can I get roses to get the last field open? Now only 888 roses

 

You can grow them on your farm, main field, green meadows and Magical glade.
Or you can buy them from market place or from seed shop.
