I now have the stalk and all the givers along with the 10BB's and 2 piccolo boxes! my progress is 295/290
Because I have all 8 tentacles fully up-graded, I think I will just continue to harvest them every 4 hours No more making quills or growing event crops! Again Thanks to all who contributed information to help us all figure this event out!

 

I only grow plants for the little extra experience I get from them after the event, as the plants take the same time to complete as the tentacles.

What will happen with the left over event items after the event?
All the leftover goods will be exchanged after the event:

• 1 Red Coral = 4 EP + 5 CC;
• 1 Kelp = 4 EP + 5 CC;
• 1 Heartstones = 15 EP + 20 CC;
• 1 Secret Message = 634 CC;
• 1 Fancy Quill = 317 CC.

Is the quill time upgrade only temporary to speed up harvest time?

 

1 feather can be used on octopus arms after each harvest and harvested 1 hour early, it is not permanent, you need to do this after each harvest.

All done on both farms. Still planting and harvesting kelp for quills. Still collecting goodies. Free goodies is free goodies!

 

And they're nice prizes too! Still getting a lot of 1x1 givers on the baby farm!

 

I have 99 points now, so I will never make it. Due to work (and sleep) not enough time to collect the bonus of the octopus arms and translate everything I read on the forum. The explanation wasn't clear for me, I read just now that the arms can be upgrated permanently.
I miss the forum in my own language...

 

I won't make it either, just down to my poor strategy despite all the help here. I only harvested three times a day so upgrading the tentacles was a bit slow. Never mind, I have enjoyed collecting all the goodies on the way.

My baby farms had a good time and made heaps selling Roses - they don't normally grow anything so they loved seeing all those beautiful Roses everywhere!

EDIT! I got the CR! Wahoo! Got loads of extra CR items and got them going straight away so only need two to finish giving their stuff and I will have that CR up AND running! Wahoo! Happy happy happy!

 

I am ready to now. I can't collect my gifts from the tentacles because of the pop-up that appears when I try to click on the red exclamation mark.

The first few days this was not a problem. But yesterday and today it has been a very big problem, and is making me so upset! Why was the prize wheel designed with so little room to work with????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

Some additional information if you find that harvesting the tentacles is blocked by the information box:

To remove the information box that blocks the tentacles, please do the following:

• Go to Game Settings
• Click on Additional Settings Tab
• Turn OFF the setting that says "Show info box on mouse cursor"
• Click Save

Hopefully you can fix it before the event ends and collect your rewards from the tentacles.
